Yea, don't think I'm being racist...
Alot of people believe it's skin color alone that people are discriminating against. I don't think it's necessarily true and I'll tell you why. There are Indian people who are of the same if not darker skin tone than African Americans, however Indians although similar in skin tone, dont seem to be experiencing the same alleged racism as as African Americans. If it's darker skin alone that is the issue, I would think that other darker completed races would be expressing that they are encountering the same issues.
Lmaoooo they dont care about our skin tone, they care about our race. If we are BLACK/AFRICAN AMERICAN or not
I know black girls who are "passing" meaning as light or lighter than olive toned white women, hispanic women, etc. But they are still BLACK so management doesnt GAF.
Racism is about race. Period.
You can express WHY you think discrimination is happening but without ever being in our shoes white ppl will never understand, or wont try to understand. Im not mad, thats just the way the cookie crumbles.
Simply, dont go where your not welcome.

And if you have to say "im not racist, or dont think im being racist" or any expression of the sort your trying to hard not be. Lol. Like i said im not upset. Ive learned to embrace ignorance nd racism because its actually not a reflection of us/me/whoever their addressing its them because they dont know us/me/whoever their addressing, and their not very cultured. And most racist people have grown up in a BOX meaning a community of people who are EXACTLY LIKE THEM. The shit is actually sad.

Sorry but what you are saying is false about Indians and racism. Most people of color including Indians have experience racism in America and many western countries. Many Indian-Americans have told me that they have experience racism. In fact, I had to retire my Indian phone sex character because men where actively racist against her. Trust me, men called my Indian phone sex character the same slurs that they call black women. Also, many Indian-Americans ( mostly Punjabi Skiks) have been victims of hate crimes around the country. It is not because of their religion but it is also because they're are not white. So, you can not say that black people are the only dark skin people to complain about discrimination.
But we are talking about BLACK WOMEN. Its funny people always try to down play what we go thru. Smh

I recently started back at a club I worked at about 2-3 years ago. When I first auditioned the club had been opened about 10 years & never had a black dancer. (I didn't know this until after I was hired)
fast forward to now, recently there were 2 black girls who wanted to audition. There were also 2 white Girls to audition. The 2 black girls were drop dead gorgeous! I mean from a scale 1-10,they were like a 15. The white girls were about a 5 combined. One of the mgrs comes in the dressing room and straight up says,"I'm not hiring anymore black girls." She let them audition and the other 2,and guess who was hired? It just sucks seeing that bc the black girls were really good far as looks and dancing. Hell one of the white Girls can't even walk in the kitten heels she had on. I tried to talk for them to get hired, but she said no bc that would be too many. -_- There's 5 black girls and about 30 white Girls.
Idk. I just feel so pissed about this because I've been turned down before bc of my skin tone. It's almost 2017 and people are STILL discriminating against us. And it's not like our clientele doesn't like black women,I've sat with customers & they always ask "where the sisters at?" Lol. Crazy.
Any typos,I'm on my phone...my bad. Lol
Girl fuck that damn place. Go with your own, and stick with your own.A white strip club would reject a Naomi Campbell look alike for a average Amy Schumer look like, and say she's hotter than all hell.

Well this is the reason why black clubs were created. Plus many black clubs are extremely popular due to rap music and other media. I've been turned away from white clubs before and I look like Meagan Good. Those people are stupid just ignore them.
And you want to know whats so funny, black clubs make way more money than white clubs these days and I feel like hey we as a black our race start need to build back our collective wealth any way possible way. ell, with the exception of killing, drugs, and other illegal activities.Thats why I dance now. I always wanted to own my own business.

Omg this is so true. One of my old mid tier clubs got a new location and told me I was too thick to work at the new location. They were trying to go upscale which was hilarious as the only thing saving this club was the old location right by a transportation hub and you could see it clearly while commuting.
So I said no prob and started dancing full time at my urban club. Well come to find out, my old club is struggling badly and decides to try and jump in on All Star Weekend. So they hire promoters and pay an NBA player to come and some famous video vixen. And guess what? They had to recruit girls from the urban clubs to come work that night. Guess who got a call while she was on vacation to come in and work again? Lol
The house girls all complained to me that they didn't make any money and all my friends from the urban clubs who worked it were telling me how they cleaned house that night.
So just thought it was stupid how that club didn't want to be an urban club or have urban girls, but guess who paid their rent and bills that month? Black money. Fuxking idiots

LOL!I know it's true. But you know what, being the type of person that I am,some part of me wants these upscale and white clubs to keep being oblivious of powerful we are when it comes to money. Why? Because, I want to keep whatever little wealth we have in our own community, and not have try to take our shit capitalize off of it, and than banned us from it. I'm sorry if I am bringing morals, ethic codes, or racial politics into a stripper forum but I just can't help it.
Like I said, black clubs are rising up, and is becoming powerful upscale everyday.Just look at Atlanta,Miami, DC,and other well to do black cities.I have no idea why people think that an urban club means ghetto, nasty, and trashy

Yep! I've noticed this too. Most of the famous big money clubs are black clubs with black dancers. Magic City, King of Diamonds etc. I'm sure the owner of those clubs and the dancers are not starving or struggling with money any time soon. So if clubs want to roll out the red carpet for every skinny white girl and reject almost all black dancers that's their loss. There are beautiful women in all races and shapes and they all deserve a shot, not just one type of girl.

As a skinny white woman...if I owned/managed a strip club, I wouldn't care what race you were. As long as you were beautiful, smart, and a good dancer/hustler, and not evil or crazy or dramatic, you'd get hired. Crazy violent bitches would get fired on the spot.
I am appalled this is nearly 2017 and WOC still have to deal with this. It isn't right.

This is really true. I've auditioned at a few urban clubs and always got hired but barely made any money because I'm more on the "alternative" side and don't have very good twerk skills so I never stayed at them for longer than a couple of days. Most white clubs don't give black girls a chance to see if they'll make money. Like that one club I described.....they assume black girls won't make any money because one of them didn't so they don't even give them a chance. Hiring a few gorgeous black girls wouldn't have changed the clientele or turned it into a "black club" or any of the other excuses clubs try to use.
i second this. i fall into the "little blonde white chick with no ass" category, and i've been hired at urban mostly black/latino clubs before. most dancers and customers didn't like me but at least they gave me a chance. dancers of color usually don't even get a chance to audition at many of the upscale clubs i have worked at. i see it all the time. i've even heard managers flat out say they don't like hiring black girls.
the area you're in makes a difference too. when i lived in LA i didn't notice it as much... but here in texas the clubs are (not that surprisingly i guess) pretty blatantly racist. which sadly makes sense because the customers are racist. just last night i had a guy who just came right up to me and started talking to me about how last time he came in, there were a lot of black girls, and he's happy to see thats changed because he doesn't like them, along with some other ignorant shit. its pretty disturbing how often men here think its ok to just come up to me and start telling me how much they hate black women. like damn, i wish i had a dollar for every time some crusty white man in cowboy boots said something racist to me. they are so small minded that they really can't imagine why i wouldn't agree with them, since i'm white too.
idk how people can still be that stupid in this day and age but but thats the south for you.. i work in louisiana too and its even worse there :(

And often those racist customers don't have respect for women AND tend to be cheap. Racists and sexist go hand in hand. Trump, great example. Once I hear racist remarks for another race or whatever, I excuse myself. I rarely hear stuff like that where I'm at tho. Thank God.

Guys, please don't flame me, but I think I get KIND OF what NakedNicole was trying to say. Or maybe I just skimmed it too quickly, I dunno. But what I took away from it was that YES it's unfair and racist but that sometimes it's just club policy and to not take it personally (I know that's really hard and shitty!).... The manager may have loved your look but was under the owner's orders not to hire anyone who wasn't white. I think a lot of owners are stuck in the 80s and are even older than that themselves, so they were still raised in a very divisive culture and harbor at least unconscious (if not conscious) racism. They may think they're doing the best thing for their club and that only hiring certain skin colors of girls will keep the trash out of the club, when really that's the support staff's job.
I've watched almost the same scenario as the OP, where a beautiful, classily dressed, well-spoken black girl came in and wanted to audition. The manager turned her down. 10 minutes later, 3 nasty trailer trash looking white girls walked in, wearing bad weaves and sweatpants, and he hired all 3 of them. I asked him what was up with that, obviously the first girl was much hotter and seemed like she'd do great with the businessmen, and he literally told me he agreed but the owner had told him no more non-white girls.
My club is very bad in that way though, they will go through periods of riffraff and terrible disrespectful customers who are part of the 'ghetto' culture that people associate with black men (despite some of these guys being white or Hispanic)... and instead of telling the doormen to simply stop letting in these guys, they blame it on the number of black girls working or the music they're playing & think they're attracting them. It's unfair and stupid.
I feel like if a girl comes in and is put together, doesn't speak like a hood rat, and can dance, you should give her a chance. If she clicks with your customers, great, both the club and the girl make money. If not, she'll leave on her own. I think management/owners need to worry more about whether the girl's personality/image fits or attracts the right customers more than whether her skin color will.

I only have two things to add:
1) Although as a black woman, I'm not happy with everything that's been said in this thread, no one should be getting flamed. We are all dancers, so the only color that should really matter to us is GREEN. I really enjoy Stripper Web mainly for the community and support. We are ALL sisters (sistas lol) in the struggle.
Where else can you go to ask questions like "Do you think my sugar daddy is paying me enough? How can I get more out of him without his wife/accountant noticing something funny with the bank statements?" NOWHERE. Other people would look at you as if you were the scum of the earth. Only WE understand our struggle, our hustle, etc. so it always stresses me TF out when I see us on here warring.
We all bleed once a month, all of our feet be killing us after a long ass shift, and we all got some dude in our phone who we like who is giving us a major headache right now. If we as strippers (and the world in general) learned to embrace our similarities instead of looking for minor differences (She dances to dubstep and I dance to trap!!!), we would all be much happier. Just something to keep in mind while we discuss this... And racial issues NEED to be discussed or things will never change.
2) I want to piggy back off something BarbieNYC said. Honestly, this racism in the club situation may work itself out on its own eventually. I work in a large metropolitan city considered to be one of the strip club capitals of the world. When I first moved here, there were several mid-tier and high end white clubs that I knew I'd never be able to work at. A couple years later, I noticed a trend developing. White clubs would rent out their least busy nights, usually a Monday, to black promoters and black dancers. These nights were wildly successful as urban clubs have a habit to charging like $20 to $40 at the door and could pack out the club since stripping/strippers are so prized in our culture... at least for the youth. Add the cutest Instagram girls in the city and the ball players who use slow nights like Mondays to party (it's usually their day off) and let's just say that this business model has proven very successful.
Guess what? Nearly all of those clubs I'd never be able to work at has either 1) added an urban night 2) has become a mixed club or 3) HAS TURNED COMPLETELY URBAN. Times are a-changing. And business is all about supply and demand. I think now there is only one club in the city I'd probably be turned away from and that's The Penthouse Club. (They seem to be the big offenders here lol) I've never tried tho. And I'm a brown-skin, black girl.
So ladies, keep your head up. If you have the talent and the looks (which is required in this industry no matter what color you are), there is money out here for you. *stripper hugs to all* :)

i think thats kinda what i was getting at. they're just trying to do what they think is best for the club from a business standpoint... and if the customer base is turned off by black girls, they have to either go along with it and refuse to hire them.. or suffer financially. and of course those greedy assholes will do literally anything they can to make money, in almost all cases. they don't give two fucks about us or about having morals or treating dancers fairly. doesn't matter what it is, they'll discriminate or extort us to line their own pockets. they'll turn a blind eye to racism, sexual assault, illegal drug use, nearly anything as long as they can get away with it and keep customers coming back. its all fucked up but as long as racism is still alive and well in the world, the clubs will continue to perpetuate it if they think it'll make them $$$

Regarding the music, there are a lot of white girls who dance to "trap" music. Most of the popular music out there is either hip hop or electronic. For me it sucks dealing with it as a white girl bc there's some "white" clubs that won't play ANY type of hip hop...so that eliminates a majority of current music.
These clubs can be racist on so many levels too, like I had a club manager make fun of my thick ass and tell me to cover it up. A lot of white clubs really obsess about your weight too. Like if some girl who looked like Kim k came in they would tell her she was "too fat" to work there lol.
they think hiring black girls will make the club "ghetto"....no hiring trashy girls will make your club trashy. There's a lot of white men(and myself!) who have a thing for black women and see them as exotic. OP please don't let this get you down because most of the people running these places are idiots lol

I think it may be more about the atmosphere the club is trying to maintain. For example, most black girls at clubs I've worked at request Trap music/rap for their stage sets. I was in double rotation with a black girl last night and I dance to country now. She came across the stage and was bitching about how she had to dance to country now for my song.
So as the number of black girls increase, it's likely that more rap will have to be played and that might be off putting to the older crowd hearing a good amount of the music being rap.
you also must consider that with more black dancers will attract more black customers inevitably. Once this customer base increases, it starts to lean to the "urban club dynamic" . If the club is intended to have the loud rap/ass shaking feel from the start that's fine. But some clubs want to maintain a more reserved/upscale/traditional gentleman's club atmosphere and that's fine too.
I wouldn't take it personal, like I said there's other factors to consider. I'm sure if a bunch of skinny white girls with no asses who danced to Brittany Spears went to "king of diamonds" the management probably wouldn't want to hire them either. Not because of anything wrong with them, but simply because these type of girls and the customers who generally will go for them don't fit the dynamic of this clubs theme.

I think one of the most beautiful things to come out of my usually delightfully snarky and sarcastic manager's mouth was to call another club down south stupid for turning down one of our black dancers who was a definite ten because she "was not what they were looking for." He thinks guys like variety and you can tell because that's what we have. Our top earner is mixed. I worked at the "whiter" club down the road for a while and it felt so weird and I hated being surrounded by other skinny white chicks because we were all attractive in the same way. When I came "home" I was way more comfortable because there were so many different types of beautiful that we were all able to shine instead of blending together.
I don't know. Any kind of racism, whether it be obvious or subtle, leaves me angry and nauseated. My day job is very diverse and I constantly see customers speak down to my black coworkers like they're children and then turn around and address me normally and I don't understand how people can't realize how shitty they're being not just because they're doing it but because they're such idiots that they don't even seem to realize they're doing it. I've tried very hard in recent years to pay attention to what white privilege means exactly because my parents didn't raise me to be ignorant. I think we're living in a significant time of transition so far as raising awareness about equality goes and I really hope it improves things for everyone and that more clubs will follow my club's example because IME diversity leads to a much nicer working environment.

They TRY to speak down on us blacks at my day job, bht the way im set up...lol...i refuse service AAAAALL the time it bothers me because i demand respect. You can feel HOWEEEEEVER you want about me but watch that shit when it comes out ur mouth. Its like there are alot of people i dont like for certain reasons but i still respect them. But i guess racism is different because its almost like made up(what they think we are, etc) and some of this is true. BUT to sum it up you racism has never hurt my feelings in a way of making me look at myself different, i just demand respect from EVERYBODY so keep it to urself while ur in my presence. Plus, you cant tell me about ME. U dont even know me so that logically doesnt make sense.
But what is TRUE is that our strip club cultures are totally different. For one, making it rain in white clubs are a No No and i had a white stripper tell me that is so ghetto and disrespectful (lmaooo b*tch idc, i just made $300 on stage, who cares) but my point is they look at alot of things we do as ghetto and disrespectful but thats a culture thing. They "make it rain" at african and arab weddings, events and ceremonys so alot of it it culture differences people dont want to and arent willing to understand. I could go on and on. But im not cuz im sleepy

The thing that threw me real off is when NakedNicole said no "upscale" urban clubs exist..... what box are you living in guurl. Have you even been inside Vanity Grand, KOD, VLive.... theres is a cultural difference yes but it doesn't make these club not high class. These clubs have a dresscode (celebrities get a pass), they attract wealthy individuals and the opportunity to bank is there.

Are there anymore than those? I'm looking to hit up upscale urban strip-clubs to dance in while traveling.I keep hearing the Vlive chain is overrated & only the favorites do well. KOD you have to be a build a body, & I've never heard of Vanity Grand. What about Silver Rain?

You just minimized the hell out of racism. That one girl who bitched about dancing to country music in your club has nothing to do with what the OP ranted about. And assuming that a black dancer is gonna want to dance to trap music is silly. The only thing that really needs to be done here is to simply listen and respect that those who see and experience racism aren't jumping to conclusions. Also speak out when you see it. I know not all can afford to speak up but its really the first stop in getting away from normalizing this type of behavior
Well of course they sent black dancers away.
No one wants to be labeled as an urban club.
Black dancers means more black customers.
Its simply a business decision really.
That's what black clubs are for.
Assuming that a club that has multiple black performers can't have an upscale vibe, lord have mercy what did I just read?
Well.. For what it's worth - people should be able to pick their own music and dance how they feel. If it works - good..! If not - they find out quick. I think everyone should be given a shot Shit. When I was club shopping a while back - it was a white club. This beautiful black girl gave me a floor dance - she moved beautifully - meanwhile this busted looking white girl was reverse cowgirl grinding this Latin dude with her tits out - dude looked like he was trying to be a good sport. If I had to pick a girl to take VIP - it would have been the black girl dancing for me. I also noticed the busted white girl spent a lot of time behind the bar... Not a coincidence...I wouldn't even consider auditioning at KOD... Different style.. Not just twerking.. The pole style - the drops - the doubles routines on the pole.. I'm not up to par for what they want. I'm not sorry - my style is just different.. I salute girls who can bank in a place like KOD - cuz I couldn't..

Build a body? That is great. Why have I not heard this term before???? I do not know if I agree with that though. I have seen little spinner type girls that work there cause they're good on the pole. I remember when KOD first opened all their promos had thinner girls and a lot of white and latin girls in them. It evolved into what it is on it's own.

Giiiiirl lmaooooo i fell ALL THE WAY down the stairs but i caught my self at the end of the rail so nobody saw me (phew!!!). I had a drinka and some money in my hand lmaooo. And i dropped/threw everything to save myself. It was a girl walking down in front of me. It probably looked like someone was trying to hit her with a cup. :( lmaoooo.
But silver rain got $$$$$$$ in it 4real. U can make easily $600+ . I recommend starting early like 10pm. It gets so packed and loud i missed like 3 stage sets because you cant hear anythin but music and the dj sounds muffled
