This link was posted in our Adultwork thread. How do we get a card in GBP? Will that card be usable for all income sources and not just Adultwork?

https://www.adultwork.com/dlgKBArticle.asp?ArticleID=789

"As part of the move to FirstChoice Pay, we are now able to issue members with debit cards denominated in GBP.

Members without a FirstChoice Pay card are strongly encouraged to get one, to ensure they have a back up method for receiving their credits. (Paxum is also an adequate backup.)

It makes sense for members in the UK to request their cards in GBP. Members elsewhere can choose GBP or USD.

Members in the UK that already have USD accounts/cards can apply for a new account in GBP. At the time of writing, the balances will not be shared across both.

If you end up with two (approved) accounts/cards, one GBP and one USD, you will be able to choose which one to transfer credits to on the Credits Transfer Request page."

Hi, it is uniquely linked with Adultwork, (which makes a lot of sense because they are very known in the UK). You should be able to order an Adultwork related GBP card under an existing Firstchoice Pay account.
Any chance you can PM me? I would like to make sure that the new service is seamlessly available. Thanks:)

^^^gracias for answering everyone's questions here, has been hugely helpful

a question I have regarding partner accounts. With my new First Choice/Payoneer partner account will I be able to send GBTs as well as payments to the debit card? I'm not clear on that and I have several payees who have asked so would love to be able to provide them with some concrete details

if so, what are the nations to which I'm able to send GBTs?

I'm a US corp funding the account in USD if that's relevant

I can log in no problem on payoneer. Those exact details on Firstchoice are not recognised, it says wrong details. Yes I tried password reset but it doesn't recognise my date of birth. I started the sign up process just to see if it said my email was already in use and it did not.

I know that many of you have received an email announcing the launch of Firstchoice Pay. I also know that many of you see this announcement from me for the second time. I am happy to share this exciting news with you and I hope that I can help support this transition which takes place at the beginning of February.

Under the Firstchoice Pay brand, we will continue to support your payment needs and assure you that you have a quality payment provider for years to come. I am here to personally make sure that your transition to the new brand and platform will be effortless and familiar.

If you have further questions above the information you received in your email, please let me know so I can help you find out about how the new brand will support your payment needs.

But I thought we now check and do everything on the first choice site, so I need to be able to log in. I got an email (from payoneer) to say my bank transfer from icf technology has been initiated, so it looks like everything is still on payoneer site?

Hi, I'm trying to follow your question. If you just transitioned into Firstchoice Pay, you will most likely not be charged again this year for maintenance fees.

Hi, this can happen for a number of reasons. Will it be OK to ask at which online store you are trying to use it?

There are a few options, one of them is that they might not accept prepaid cards, the other is that they restrict some regions, which I find hard to believe since it's a crowd funding page. Any chance you can PM me so I can see the actual error?

I received an email on Feb 10th saying FC received the payment from ICF. Normally that same day I see an email saying the bank transfer was done as well and I see the money in the bank the following Tuesday. For the first time in 6 months something seems messed up. They sent the received email but not the transfer. Called twice and they say nothing seems wrong but it's been sent for review. Wish there were more details.

I's jarring to miss a pay date. Now I'm wondering if my payment being sent Friday is going to have any issues.

Should I just have SM start sending me paper checks?

I thought it was just me.

So far I'm getting other payments, just not the ones going to my bank. (A few sites I work on do not have the bank transfer option so I use the physical card for them). I called Wednesday and they told me it would be in my bank by today (when it's usually there Tuesday). I figured just a slight delay due to the transition.

Nothing in my bank today and on the Firstchoice pay when I log in it says "failed" on my SM payment. I called them back today and they said they would try to send it to my card today but it may take until Monday. I'm still waiting.

I need my pay to come in today and I'm pretty upset about this.

I don't know if this is the right place, but I have an issue that I can't seem to solve it.I have made 2 online payments with my payoneer(firstchoice now). So,first payment done gave me an error,I made it one more time and same thing. Then I checked my payoneer balance and now they are both pending authorizations. However,I want to cancel them and get the money back on my account, but I can't(I just don't know how or if is possible).I've tried to contact payoneer, but their live chat and phone line is always busy and is impossible. They don't answer to regular email.
Anyone know if there is any way to cancel pending authorizations?Maybe Dan can answer me ;)
Thanks!

I just went through this very thing for a large amount of money. It took 9 days before the pending authorizations were released by to my account. I couldn't believe it took that long. I was able to get someone on the phone because it was a weekday and I was told the only way to get it released sooner is if ALL of the merchants sent an email on letterhead giving info.

This is what the email said

In order to request a cancellation of the outstanding authorization, please provide us with confirmation from the merchant. The document needs to contain the merchant’s letterhead and the following information:
Confirmation that the merchant will not be settling the transaction, and explanation why.
Masked card number
Dollar amount
Authorization Code
Merchant ID
Date of Authorization
If the merchant is a hotel - A copy of hotel folio confirming that you have completed check-out
If the merchant is a car rental company – A copy of your rental agreement
Please request the merchant to fax their confirmation letter directly to Firstchoice Pay (our fax number is 1-347-438-3365). Should the merchant provide the confirmation letter to you, please reply to this e-mail with the scanned document attached.

We will forward the confirmation to our financial department with a request to cancel the outstanding authorization.

Hi, I received your private message, and we'll see what can do. As a rule of thumb a pending authorization can happen with any type of card, however when it's made with a prepaid card, it does temporarily affect the available funds for use.

Hi, this is a salient point. There are a few cases in which processors try to make a temporary hold of funds (pending authorizations, I don't like the term as well) in amounts that are larger than the final charge itself. Given my humble experience, the most prone to make these holds of funds are hostels and gas stations. There are a handful of online merchants and services that accept a credit card only and not a prepaid card (verifying an online seller store, or a Vanilla freelance profile on a market place for instance). Let me know if that helps.

Hi Danep!

I received the firstchoice card, and now I'm receiving all the payouts there.

I still have the payoneer card, expires on 2019 and I have a lot of money there.

Does the payoneer card work till 2019? Should I transfer all the money from the payoneer account to the firstchoice account? how can I do it?

Thank you!

Hi There

I posted a question yesterday about FCP but not on this thread and I was wondering if you guys can help me as I am really confused. I signed up for FCP through IMLIVE as my payment method and when signing up I'm pretty sure I checked the box for bank transfer as apposed to the debit card? I cant see anywhere on the site about their fees and how the whole process works?

Will IMLIVE pay my earnings to FCP and then do I just login to FCP and do a bank transfer to my bank account?

Is it also cheaper to do the pre paid card method as apposed to bank transfer? And if so how do I set this up

Thanks

Hi, and thanks for looping me in.
The pros of a bank transfer is that there are no card usage fees, ATM withdrawal and point of sale charges mostly.
The availability can be depending on location and technical permissions (I can check this in details for you if you'd like on a private message).
The cons can be the actual loading time, usually around 3-5 business days. In addition there may be a threshold amount for a payment, while a card can be loaded with relatively smaller payments. I hope it's informative.
If you require specific assistance, don't hesitate to contact me directly, Dan.
