Just gonna say if you read up on what feminism is, you'll realize that what you call humanism is feminism. For some reason some people decided they won't call themselves feminists and made up the word humanist which means the exact same thing.
Humanism: Is a term started by Carl Rogers in therapy. Meaning a "humanistic" approach. That people can achieve their full potential, however somewhere a long the way they encountered obstacles that they may need assistance in overcoming. Poverty, Mental Illness, etc...
Humanists: is a non-religious movement. The AHA (American Humanist Association) has the motto "Good with out God" meaning that people do not need to identify as being religious to being deemed "good"
Out of curiousity....What were you referring to when you were saying Humanism? From a macro perspective, I suppose we can look at Humanism as being Feminist in that helping women over come obstacles in order to achieve full potential (e.g. equal pay)

In my real life, I would say that I am a riot grrrl type of feminist as an teenager and adult. Riot grrrl feminism was in your face, aggressive, brash, and dark. So, it is a branch of feminism that I could get behind. I was more of a first wave feminist as kid. However, sexism comes up rarely on cam. My customers do not mind some of my beliefs....I challenge them already.:)
How many of you ladies are feminists? And if you are, do you openly talk/post stuff related to yr feminist values on cam/on Twitter ect?
I find when someone in my room is being sexist I can't help but call them out on their bullshit. And I would do the same thing if I had a social media profile for camming.
But I wonder if it's something I should keep more quiet about. I feel like being a sex worker is pretty stigmatized with mainstream society and being an outspoken feminist on top of that will just put a huge target on my head for trolls/assholes/people who want to hurt us.
So what are your thoughts on this? Do you stay mum about your feminism or are you out and proud about it?

Nono by asking that question I didn't mean that trans women aren't women! Although I can see how it could've been misconstrued. I was trying to be inclusive because I know not all feminists see trans women as actual women and I know a lot of trans folk felt excluded at the women's marches that happened everywhere because of the symbolism that equated vaginas with womanhood which I don't agree with. I feel like I'm terrible at articulating this kind of thing so I'm sorry if my choice of words was offensive and I'll work on that for the future
I know you aren't saying that, don't worry. I'm just saying transwomen are women and so they're included :) We're good *cheek smooch*

I would consider myself a politically active, intellectual Feminist. Not the riot type one--in your face type some one was mentioning above--I do participate in causes like the WOMENS MARCH--BC I felt it was so important to show that we are a HUGE force and we can get shit done! I feel some atheists (I am one) are the same way--like any group of people can be. Militant in their views, not open to dialogue, and Proseletizing.
Any label is complicated--so many facets and nuances to it.
BUT I DO LOVE THIS ABOUT CAMMING: I am in control of my body. SO many people think that we are whores, doing it for the money, desparate, etc...
NO, I am in control of my body. I get to say what I am and am not going to do. I don't do anything that I really am uncomfrotable with on cam or in my real life Domme/Fetish work. I am always in control.
Camming has liberated me in a way no other job has. I don't like when people think just bc I cam I am a whore.
THIS HAPPENED TO ME, I cried like a little girl after it did. I had to have friend talk me down after it happened. :( Like i was sobbing and a wreck.
I live in a small country southern town. More of a community. I liked this really cool little pub down the road on the lake. Good Food, good beer. VERY BLUE COLLAR, Very chill vibe. I was glued to my phone (phrendly) and the bar tender was cool as hell...she asked what i was doing. I said (I was buzzed at that point) sexting. She laughed and i said No, I get paid to do it. I do this for a living. WE talked about it.
A few nights later I forgot my personal debit card. Paid with my debit one. Has my performer name on it. They googled me. Found me. I didn't know it for a few weeks.
The owner was giving me a cold shoulder even though I was dropping $50-$70 a night not including tip. I asked the bartender one night why. she said "They know what you do-They are worried you are soliciting patrons" I started to cry right there like a little girl.
I confronted the owner a few nights later, said "Dickie--I heard.... I come in here to chill out, etc. He was like we appreciate your business, we do. I said no you don't if you called me a whore--He said No I didn't. If you think i am soliciting patrons then yes you think i am a whore. I will take my $50-$70 a night and never come back. You had a pretty, nice, quiet girl sitting at your bar--I made over $XX K In 5 months, so I am not a whore." and some more stuff--Had my Pretty Woman moment. But still. I was outted in my small town :(

Hmm not all feminists see trans women as "women". These are not my own views but i saw a live debate the other week on the The Big Question which is a UK debate show which talks about issues surrounding religion and social issues. One woman in the audience was a feminist and claimed that the issue lies with mtf being women yet at the same time still having the same rights/privileges as men. Theres a little on it here - https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jan/14/feminism-must-embrace-trans-people-parliament-equality-gender-barriers
Please note these aren't my personal thoughts, just adding to the conversation.

They're called TERFs - trans-exclusionary radical feminists - and I'm going to comment on their bullshit because they piss me off to no end. MtF women have male privileges?? Really???? How fucking stupid are these bitches!? Trans women are 4x more likely than cis people to be murdered. Trans women are also more likely to live in poverty and more likely to attempt suicide. They have the pleasure of having their very identities invalidated the minute they leave the house (and sometimes even when they just wake up). <= this is not what privilege looks like.
I will slap a bitch if she tells me she's a feminist who doesn't believe trans women are "real" women. No exceptions. It's bitches like TERFs that make my girlfriend suicidal.
They can go fuck themselves. Hard. With a rusty pipe and no lube.
Edit to add: So yeah, feminism comes in many forms.

I am loving this post! A few years ago I learned about the feminist movement while taking a college course on women of the world, it was a game changer for me. I have learned how much the movement has evolved to now include women in the sex industry via the fourth wave movement. I also wrote a blog for boleyn models on this very subject. Here is the link to read if you would like to. https://boleynmodels.com/sex-workers-feminism/ref/105/

Think the comments from TERFS came about when Caitlyn Jenner proclaimed that the hardest thing about being a woman was “figuring out what to wear”, highlighting and perpetuating gender stereotypes. Evidently she comes from a life of privilege/money so maybe thats whats clouding her judgement on these issues! I'm sure life is easy for anyone when you have security 24/7 (unless your Kim K).
