Does anyone know if there are any clubs in Toronto/Mississauga that allow girls to work only 1-2 shifts per week? I know a lot of places have a 3 shift minimum.
Everywhere in Toronto will let you work as little or as much as you like.

Hey everyone, I am new dancer! Has anyone world are Club Paradise? Im decided between there and Brass Rail (of course in the future I might end up working at both but for now Id like to gain experience at one). I have a couple of tattoos nothing absence or gang related but im wondering what their policy on that is?

Hey love I never tried out brass but I did email them pictures of myself and pictures of my dance resume because they do request experience I would say definitely email them and see if they can email you back maybe they'll find interest in your look just remember that you do need to have a license in Toronto

Thank you! I reread what I wrote and I am sorry you had to sit through that (the auto-correct really did a number on it).
One last question, is there anywhere in the GTA that I can dance without a license? like Brampton or Mississauga?

Haha no worries lovely. I should have used more punctuation marks and what not lmao.
Im not too sure about brampton but i did cold call some places in sauga that said they were hiring granted they want u to have all your items (shoes outfits make up ect.) And they also asked for experince too make sure to take some pole classes or be quite flexible or if ur a dancer. I wanna stress that not just for u but for anyone else whos thinking of being a exotic dancer. Granted u dont have to dance like a Atl or Miami dancer cuz that dosent fly too much here.
Pure Gold
Airportstrip
Kennedys
Diamonds cabaret: offers amature night which is a fun option. Not too much pressure and its still fun you can check out the club.
If your looking for a dance travel buddy or sister feel free to inbox me.

Again, thank you! I want to start dance but the $400+ Toronto License is crazy expensive. So im looking to start outside of Toronto lol Save and then get something more in the inner city. But people say Sauga is known for extras. And Im looking into pole lesson already, most dancers say you learn the most inside the club so im hoping I can do the same.
Where do you get most of your shoes from? Mine are mainly from Amazon (granted I have like 2)

Pure Gold in Sauga is probably your best bet if that's the area that works for you. Yeah, the whole city is known for extras so if that's not your jam that wouldn't be my first pick.
Whiskey a go go in Vaughn will let you do a trial shift without a license, it's $1xx for a Vaughn license if you do decide you like it.
Solid Gold in Burlington, no license needed.
905 in Pickering, you need to do an amateur night to get hired. Every other club is just, the manager thinks you look fine, hired on the spot. Whiskey a go go and Solid Gold I didn't call ahead and had no problems just showing up and working.
Can also consider weekend (or whatever your schedule allows) trips to Windsor (Leopards/Cheetahs/Alley Katz offer free dancer housing) or Niagara Falls Sundowner- you do need a license here but again, it's $100-something not $500.
Pole skills at all are really not necessary for Toronto except maybe the 905 (it's no contact dances so the focus is more on stage). The odd girl has some wild moves but for the most part girls don't waste energy up there.
I typically buy shoes off Shoefreaks.ca - they have free fast shipping in Canada, although they are pricier than ordering from some of the discounted sites. The thing is though when you're buying shoes typically it's because you need them and you can't wait two weeks while they sit in customs... I usually just buy the cheapest sale pairs in my size; I no longer care about having flashy shoes as never once has a shoe sold or not sold a dance for me.
Oh and in regards to tattoos- I have danced the Windsor clubs, Whiskey a go go, and Solid with a full leg sleeve and some upper back tats and they had no problems. I believe Brass and possibly FYEO care about tattoos and such, but the other clubs are pretty chill with it.

Yeah sauga is known for extras but you just got it either take the good with the bad or if it doesn't suit you just leave there's nothing wrong with that. I heard 905 does extras but noy too sure how true that is. 905 hires girls thru amature night and i think they offer shuttle service back to Toronto.
I get my shoes off amazon as Well.

Thank you so much! I actually looked into Whiskeys and they are hiring right now, so thank you! And turns out it isn't too far from me.
These licenses tho really have my head in a spin.
All of your advice is spot on and the run down of the clubs is helpful. Is the hiring process kinda like a whole shift kinda thing or is it based on one dance?
What kind of shoe do you prefer, ankle boots or just stray shoes?

When I showed up at Whiskeys the manager just asked if I had danced before and wanted to check my id to make sure I was over 18. Then I signed a contract (pretty standard no drugs, etc) and he showed me the change room, quick tour of the club, met the dj. Didn't have to do a dance or anything, just started working. There were a decent number of girls working so I only went on stage once I think. Maybe twice. They make girls rent lockers monthly so you'll just leave your bag somewhere in the dressing room. I wasn't super concerned about theft but just know don't bring expensive things and flash them around while getting ready, and you'll keep your money on you obviously.
Getting your license isn't really a big deal, Toronto is a two step process- get a police check then bring that to the licensing office. Mostly they want you to prove you're Canadian. Vaughn does not require a police check.
Looks like the Vaughn license jumped to $269 so I'd only get it if you really like Whiskeys. You should easily make that back in your first shift though.
Their site: http://www.vaughan.ca/services/residential/licensing_and_permits/Pages/Adult-entertainment.aspx
Honestly my favorite shoes are ones that are easy to take off during dances. Obviously you keep them on for stage and walking about the club but when I'm doing a string of dances I'll usually just kick them off. So I wear mules a lot, but I also have some ankle boots that zip/unzip easily. Ankle boots or the basic pleasers with the ankle straps are a good starter shoe. As you get comfortable in them you can try out more styles- you'll probably go through a pair of shoes every couple months depending on how often you work so it gives you lots of chances to figure out your personal faves haha.

Ive applied to Whiskeys posting on their website, I am justing waiting to hear back from them now. It'll probably be them asking for photos. Hopefully, the hiring process is similar. I need to start working right away/as soon as possible. A $269 license still isn't as bad as $500. Thanks again for your help, especially the links!
Did you stay at Whiskeys long? Of all the clubs you've worked at which was your favourite?
I was wondering who wore mules, its intimidating with the height and lack of straps to hold you in.
I have the basic strap pleasures (picture 5.65", Clear) I look like a baby dear try to walk. And I have a couple of fits that I plan to use for dancing. I want to be prepared but not overly prepared and breaking the bank. When Im able to make the money is definitely when Ill invest more $$.

Yeah, the only thing about the Vaughan license is it's pretty much just for Whiskeys. Club Pro, the other cone, is an extras club. The Toronto license is for every club there.
I only did one trial shift at Whiskeys while visiting but I liked it. Manager was friendly. I found dances medium-easy to sell and the club was decently busy and a nice layout. Guys don't really tip on stage much there so not being able to dance isn't a big deal. Applying online to a strip club isn't really the usual thing, it typically goes to a different person than the actual shift manager. If you're ready to work I'd just go to the club honestly. Most places in the GTA are hire on the spot, the only ones that aren't afaik are the 905 (have to do amateur night) and Brass Rail (audition).
I think Solid Gold was my favorite out of all the clubs, but usually I work Leopards in Windsor when I'm visiting. It's easy and consistent, and they have free dancer accommodation.
Honestly most of the clubs are very similar money wise since all the dance prices and stuff are the same. I'd pick the one that's most convenient for you and start there, then figure out if it's a place you want to stay. The beauty of the job is you can try other clubs whenever you feel like it also, so you aren't "stuck" somewhere if you don't like it.

Through the online thing?
I would always go in honestly.
Also as a brand newbie if Solid says they want you to have experience I'd try doing some time in Windsor if you're able (even just a weekend). Leopards is very newbie friendly, they've had more baby strippers there throughout my visits than pretty much anywhere else I've seen besides my home club (which is pretty much a revolving door of new girls thinking they're gonna make easy money and then quitting in a few shifts).

Do they usually look for people with experience? Experience as a dancer or has worked at other clubs?
Ill probably end up doing that, ill just has to take time off from my other jobs. Im gonna look into places in Guelph/Halton Hills area as well

It depends- some clubs really prefer girls with experience, some clubs don't care, some clubs it depends how many girls they currently have.
Yeah if you're able to do a few shifts somewhere so at least you get comfortable in the heels and the environment, then you can say "I've danced before at 'x" club" and not just be totally bullshitting haha. Because like, it's obvious.
I know the Manor in Guelph does half price dance nights. From what I've heard it's very easy to sell them on those nights and you'll do a lot of them but obviously it's a ton of work. But you'd get a lot of practice in anyways. Because they do half price nights they're apparently a bit slower on the other nights but I haven't danced there personally.

If you don't mind me asking how long have you been dancing?
Ill give both clubs a call tomorrow and then judge it (do I want to do a 4hr train ride to Windsor?) (for a Sunday and Monday audition)
(the answer to my own complaint is yes)
Ive started working out and stretching in the morning to prepare, I don't know what else I can do. Im probably most worried about dancing in the heels. Is Leopards a nude club? I googled it but it doesn't tell you. I have a couple cute outfits picked out. Do you remember your first outfit?
Im only iffy about Guelph because I have family that lives out that way and can you imagine having family walk in while you are working. I think I would just pass away. thank you again for the suggestions and advice!

I've been dancing almost 8 years.
Wear your heels around the house if you can to help get used to them. You'll pick them up fairly quickly. Just be slow and relaxed when you wear them. You won't be running around the club or anything.
All clubs in Canada are nude- topless is really a US only thing because of their alcohol rules. There's probably some topless go-go/burlesque bars about here but it's really not the same as a strip club.
I think my first outfit was a thong set that I wore a pair of tiny booty shorts over (so you could see the thong in the back) or probably just a basic scrunch butt bikini. The main thing about outfits is you want them to be easy to take off and put back on, since you'll ideally be doing that many times a shift.
Np, hopefully it goes well for you.

I'm pretty, fit with a bbl, not skinny or white though and I know that's what they lean towards. Any info on Sauga clubs in general that AREN'T dead shitholes?

I've danced all over Canada. BC, NWT, Alberta, Ontario and NFLD
Generally for your first shifts just relax and move slow and sexy while you dance. Don't try moves until you feel comfortable. Watching the other girls will give you ideas of things to do.
Focus on talking to as many guys as possible. Introduce yourself, make some basic small talk, say something lime "i'm so ready to get naked for you" or whatever. Don't invest too much time on any one guy unless he's tipping you to stay. Focus on using your closing line within 3 songs.
There's a ton of info in hustle hut. Lots of the threads are old but the basics dont really change.

Wild! Do you prefer dancing in Ontario or elsewhere?
Whats general stripper etiquette in Ontario? Like everything caters to the USA. Like when on stage? Do the clothes have to come off? (or is it a good idea to do it at the end of the first song, and then the bottoms in the second?) Do I collect the money before the lap dance starts?
I took your advice to start walking around in my heels, and it has made a huge difference. If the weather was warmer Id go outside and walk to the store (I might look crazy but practice). Do you have any dancing friends outside the club? From what most threads and youtube videos say its like a hostile environment in the change rooms? I would assume its competitive just cuz you're hustling for your money but beyond that.

I don't have a favorite honestly, everywhere you dance has pros and cons.
In some clubs you have the option of whether bottoms come off- like if nobody's tipping they can stay on, but in Windsor they absolutely have to come off because americans literally cross the border for our nude clubs lol. Usually stage sets are three songs, so During lap dances you play it by ear, there's no rules about when clothes must be off so usually you wanna tease them a bit- if you know the song you can really time it so you take clothes off riiiiight at the end of the song to encourage another but don't worry too much about it. Some guys will only ever go for one song and sometimes guys go for lots, regardless of how long you were naked.
The club rules will indicate their policy on collecting money- some say you must collect up front, some will say like every 3 songs or something like that. Generally I don't collect up front unless they seem sketchy, like most guys are aware of how lap dances work and that they aren't free. Just be very clear which song you're on so you don't have problems. I'll typically tell them the first 5 and then after that ask them if there's a number they'd like to be reminded at/tell me when you'd like to stop/ something like that depending on the customer.
If a guy has to go to the atm always accompany them.
Other than like, specific dancers that didn't like each other I haven't really encountered issues. I have a couple dancing acquaintances but I don't like people in general lol so I don't have a big circle. I think the dancers I end up connecting with are ones that I would have gotten along with regardless of where we met.
Ideally you won't be in the dressing room much so it isn't typically a problem. Just do your thing and be polite but don't be crazy friendly or anything. You'll get the vibe of each club after a few shifts, some the girls are very outgoing and friendly and some you can work for weeks and not really talk to anybody.

So I worked my first shift and man am I in pain. My thighs are killing meeee. I didn't make a lot it was an incredibly slow night (at least thats what the DJ, the Security and the other dancers said). But I know I didn't make a lot due to my own nerves lol. I was so nervous. I gave like 5 or so dances, then hung around security most of the night.
The girls at the club were nice enough to talk to me about their work, their tips, what most of the club nights would be like. Last night the club closed early cuz it was slow, sadly my name in the line up for the stage was last so I didn't get a chance to go on stage. The DJ told me I could make my own dancing playlist.
And I kid you not the biggest piece of advice that I remember was from one of the veteran dancers, "don't be a shady bitch, why make money as a dirty bitch if you don't have to." I was going to go in again today but my thighs hurt and I don't think I can make the mandatory 5 hour working period. Im gonna start stretching.
Pro tip: Bring a hancirchiff(?) (like a square cloth to sit on) to sit on! One of the girls what kind enough to source me one (the club hands them out). Apparently it saves your seat with a customer if you have to run to the back or to the washroom.
I found out what you meant by not being in the change room. Not only was it cooled in there but the managers kick you out onto the floor. DO you think it'd be okay to wear like VC Robe? Like the short silk robes they sell?

Yeah your body will adapt fast. If you need to take breaks to just sit and chill for your first few shifts (or even later on lol) it's fine. It is usually pretty random money wise there but I've never left owing the club money. As you get more comfortable talking to people it becomes easier. Some girls talking about their first shifts took a long time to make anything, some did great from that newbie glow or whatever. I find it's honestly better to start off struggling a bit cause you'll learn to hustle better. When girls just sort of walk in, make money, and then the money slows down when they aren't new anymore, they often quit.
I've always found the handkerchief thing weird lol but yeah some clubs pretty much every girl has them. I usually don't chat with a customer long enough to need a break tbh but it is nice if you get surprise called to stage.
A robe should be fine, I've seen girls wear them before when it's cold- as long as it's a sexy one obviously. I think most places in the area are pretty flexible what you wear as long as you take it off.

Hey! Not sure if this thread is still going but I just moved from Montreal and looking to try some clubs in the GTA while I wait for my background check to clear so I can get my Toronto licence. I was wondering do you need a licence to work at the Landing Strip in Etobicoke? Also thinking about trying Pure Gold based on this thread, and since you don’t need a licence... also wondering if I’d do okay at either of those clubs if I don’t do extras? Lol

So I just went to Pure Gold in Mississauga, there’s no licence but it’s $50 to “register” and then bar service is $20 (for Weds 7-9pm, it varies at different times and days) but I couldn’t work tonight anyway because they wouldn’t accept my health card as a second piece of ID haha FML..... it also took me 2 hours to get there from downtown via public transportation since I can’t drive :(
And I called Landing Strip and you need a Toronto licence to work there.
Oh, also PG was dead when I went (8pm on a Wednesday) but I guess it could pick up later tonight/this weekend.

Can anyone refer me to any laws about stripping in Ontario?

Hi bananaqueen,
I haven't danced in Ontario (am in Montreal). But from what I hear from fellow dancers in GTA is that it's similar to Quebec: lap dance is contact except no touching la chatte. Bars differ when it comes to the service bar thingie. And you MUST be Canadian or a permanent resident (no, student visas or open work permits do not count).
Bonne chance !
I will soon be trying my luck in TO as the money in Quebec is very sucky. But I have not been dancing that long, so....

Hey, good luck on the move to GTA let us know how it works out. I'm going to GTA in September. Also from Montreal, and nervous about needing a liscence (i don't wanna leave a paper trail).
Hey everyone! Slightly outside of the GTA but figured I'd ask. Has anyone had any experience with Roxxane's in Kitchener?

Anyone know the house fees at Cafe Atlantis in Mississauga?? Thank you!

I haven't danced at Roxxanes myself, but did used to go there for amateur nights. Its consistently busy in there especially for amatuer on wednesdays. However a lot of guys are there for the food and drinks and just to party pr watch amateurs without actually buying dances. Also its a 0 contact club with the dance area completely out in the open so guys are reluctant to buy dances because they know they will get no mileage. I've heard girls say its hard to make money but Ive also heard some who made over 1k consistently. All girls say its a talking-based hustle because you can't really do much physically. Try it for yourself to see

The house fee at all the clubs owned by John in missisauga (Atlantis, Locomotion, Midway, Million) is $38 including a locker fee. Schedule pay is $60 with $10 deducted to go to the DJ

What's the deal with the new club in Missisauga called Her. ? I find it strange that its a strip club and nightclub in one. But it looks like las vegas in there based on the pics from their social media pages. Could any ladies working there share some info? Is it difficult to take nightclub patrons for dances? Is it possible to make good money? I know people throw singles on stage but I don't understand how you'd convince nightclub guests who are there to party to have alone time wirh you in the VIP. Also i find it odd that they post event photos of the strippers on their social media. In some photos the girls are nude or nearly nude. The first rule of strip clubs tends to be no photography and I would not want to be photographed at work naked for it to be posted online

Yeah, this Her thing is strange. Might go there for a margarita just to see what it is like. But I doubt there is much money to be there as a dancer.

I don't know Her specifically but I've done shifts at similar clubs and the less a strip club is a strip club, the crappier it is for the dancers. I find bars that are too nightclubby end up full of drunk women and guys who are less willing to spend because of the pool of seemingly available civilian women.

Does anyone have experience with GTA clubs and 'extras.' ? I'm looking for a club that isnt in Toronto but is safe and clean. I want to decline extras without getting shit from anyone. I drive so I can go pretty much anywhere within an hour from Mississauga. I don't have my licence yet otherwise I'd consider Niagara. Thank you x !

Was actually thinking of checking it out next week. It use to be the location of Mickey V gentlemens club which was a new club that wasn’t doing good so I guess they decided to reinvent it. Have you checked it out yet?

Hey Everyone!
Sorry if this has already been discussed but this thread is so long that I couldn't read through it all to check lol. I'm moving to Toronto from the states and am trying to get clear on all the differences from clubs where I'm from vs. Toronto. Are all clubs in Toronto fully nude or are some just topless (for stage dances, and private). Are lap dances contact or not or does it differ by the place? Any info or tips would be great, thanks :)

Hey misty! All clubs in Toronto are fully nude and generally all dances are contact. Outside the Toronto core in the GTA there tends to be more extras. When are you moving to Toronto? :)
Hi everyone! I'm getting back into dancing but I gained like 30lb after having bad covid. I'm medium sized but a little chubby I guess. Are there any places that would accept me? I plan on losing it but I gotta make money in the meantime

hey does anyone know the process of getting a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check in Toronto for the Adult Entertainer (Dancer) license??
I've read old threads about dealing with the officers at the office and it basically freaked me out about how it was said that the officers will treat you like a crack whore with no respect so I'm really worried!
What do you say when you get there? Will they get mad at you?? Will they judge you negatively??
I just find dealing with police officers intimidating because it's like walking on eggshells with them.
Sorry I'm just really nervous!
I'm planning to apply online on the website but it says I need to do the record check before I apply first
(Also, I'm going off topic, but if I apply, will my info be known to them in the system that I am a stripper? Like what happens if I need help from the police in the future and they search me up and refuse to help me cuz I'm a stripper??)

I actually just went through this whole process! It’s all online now, first you have to get the background check which I think is around $20-30. The info of where/how to do it is online. You have to do that in person but it’s super chill, I went to the one downtown it’s basically a civic centre. Nobody batted an eye and the lady at the counter was really nice to me. There were cops around which made me nervous but none of them actually spoke to me lol. Also I double checked with her to put down my mailing address (since it’s different than the address on my ID) and that went fine too.
When you’re there all you have to say is that you need a background check. (Lots of jobs require it so you don’t need to disclose it’s for dancing)
They mail it to you, and then you upload that + the other documents you need to get your licence. You have to pay the $150 application fee online and then they email you again with a link to pay the $2-300 licence fee. Then that gets mailed to you as well. The whole thing took about 2 months for me but there might have just been delays with processing/mailing.
as for if it shows up, I’m not sure if it does. Once when I was working in montreal police came to the club to check all our ID’s (to make sure we weren’t underage I guess?) and they thought I was from Niagara because I had my Niagara dancer’s licence at the time. But I don’t know if it comes up just with any police officer scanning your ID.
