I think in a case like this Paxum could waive fees, you might want to talk to them either by email or address them on their thread.
Transferwise isn't something you "get" (as a business), it functions as its own bank or bank translator. It does have a very nice card option now also. Streamate wouldn't work well with it directly because they put wires directly in your bank account, no need for a middle man.
Pro-tip...do not get a business account or use it to directly take client money. Personal account only. Their security and watch list is spot on, and we've already had a few models lose their accounts this way. If you use it just to "receive salary" from a business payer, you're just fine. I think they saw what happened with Circle.

Are they to be trusted from now on no matter if they sort this out or not?! Not by me anyway!

Anyone here works on Ifriends? They only offer Cosmo, or check, and I'm waiting to receive payment from them...I don't know if I should put it on hold now or what....Because I won't do check, I seem to not have other option anyway...

I am freaking out just as much. I am working on Streamate and Imlive (which is useless to me, since years ago, so it doesn't even count as much), so all my income goes to Cosmo. I tried opening a Paxum account, sent the docs, waited, waited...and when I tried to access the account to see what's going on , I saw there was no account at all anymore! It just got deleted somehow. I am in the same situation as you are, stressed and annoyed and desperate because I don't have any other option available to get my money, and no other option to make money either! No bank account in the country where I am living either, because it's huge and weird bureaucracy here and I am an expat, so weird laws apply. Which forums are you referring to, other than this? I know there are not many people from our country here, but I am not talking to pretty much anyone else but the people on this forum, as work colleagues...so I would love to know where I can find m ore relevant information for my part of the world...

Kat I totally feel you on the Cheques! Im in Spain and I spoke to Liz last week about payment for my affiliate link on SM. They have already issued me a cheque and sent it in the mail for my most recent payout and I cant help but feel that is gonna be totally useless to me! I expect that payment to have a 50% chance of actually arriving in which case I expect my bank to hold it for a couple of months at least plus I will be charged extra fees to cash it and will be given the worst possible exchange rate on the planet. The cheque is just about 300USD so if I get 100euros out of that I will be over joyed :D I really hope its true that SM is working on other payment options because this thing has become the biggest hassle in my life atm!
I completely understand it killing your motivation! Luckily I have money in the bank to provide a buffer I cant even imagine how you and others in your situation are feeling. They say this industry is worth billions so why the fuck cant we get paid!!!??!!??!!
^^^ Ty, i appreciate ur kind words DeepT, i wish u great luck with that check, i dont dare to request checks here, i know what it really means, i am in the cam business since 2001, 17 long years and i dealt with a lot of checks, some were lost in the mail, some bounced & i never got paid but i had to pay processing fees to my bank for them, from my pocket then ask for reissue & pay all additional costs and wait a looong time again, it was a nightmare!
I was soo happy when SM offered us Cosmo option then this?! It's completely unexpected to have such issues with them this fast and is soo bad for many of us european independent models that have no other payment options and we are many on all cam sites, i tell you.

To amanda121: same shit with Ifriends, besides checks they only have Cosmo for european models, i updated my payment method to Cosmo when they offered it but i dont cam there for a long while now tho my account is open and i sign in time to time just because, that is a dead site for me since many years.
Having a coffee here & going to get ready for work on SM, what else to do if i cant sleep? I tried, was not able to, dont wanna sleep with pills, is nite time here now so nothing else to do.
When the FC fell was the same, living & camming under stress for weeks, back then i started to feel pain on my forehead above the left brow, it went away after everything was fixed & i got my money, now i have the pain back since yesterday, is like a pressing point that hurts constantly, must be my brain/ a vessel is affected there, hope it wont blow up OMG lol, if u dont get posts from me anymore it means i am gone, kidding in a way but not really kidding u know.......
Let's see what happens from tomorrow on, i pray for the best for all of us!! xx
There is a message in Secondary balance section now, it says in capital letters:
"THE BALANCE TRANSFER OPTION IS CURRENTLY UNDER MAINTENANCE. THE FUNCTION IS AVAILABLE ONCE THIS MESSAGE IS REMOVED."
An estimated time for when the issue will be fixed would have been nice to be posted in there but i guess i ask for too much lol....

I'm having the same feeling ,the mess wont be fixed that soon ! I guess because they did not said at least an approximate time when they will be back , fully functional . I'm just so sick and tired of this freaking mess !

And not replying emails either. If anything...I'm not losing a lot. I have Paxum which is great. But for those who have no other option it does suck.

Nothing wrong with paxum. I use it since FC is gone. A part of my earnings goes to paxum. I only used cosmo for aw and because they actually sent a card sooner and because I didn't want everything to go into my bank account as it does from paxum since they are slow in sending the damn cards but at this point I think it was safer to have everything sent to my bank account, ugh. I mentioned above that after getting the payments from Cosmo I'm done with it and will send everything to paxum, I trust them more.

Well my cosmo is still stuck today. I have and old paxum but had trouble getting it verified just send off the docs again. Now I am stuck working out if to change SM payments and wait forever or hope cosmo sorts it

Why are they called the cardportal? In an earlier tweet they told someone that they get thousands of emails a day and that any response will take 48 hours during business days so you can contact them but if you require further assistance dont expect it anytime soon! Their last post on this issue was still the one saying it is a "minor" issue. I dont even need the money right away but its still pissing me off on principle that they are not addressing this issue or telling us WTF is up with our money. No ETA, No status reporting, No explanatory emails to their clients about the situation at hand they just make a quiet little tweet about how minor the issue is???? I want to go on their twitter and leave very passive aggressive comments. Like "Just take your time and get it sorted my kids still have water so we're okay to wait"

I fear they'll just run away with our money, don't ask me how I feel here, like going on their Twitter and be very aggressive there. I changed payment method to paxum so my next money won't get losing in Cosmo's Secondary balance, have to sort out the way I'll receive my money here on local bank, I avoided this solution but I can't live on water alone, need food too.
If we'll still get our money out from cosmo I am done with them.
I wonder why the cam sites are quiet about cosmo blocking our money, are they not thinking this payment processor is a red flag now?!

Okay THIS All day Kat! By now they must know. My husband keeps asking me what we know and then asking "Thats what SM is saying" and at first I was thinking, of course not because this isnt a SM issue, BUT it would be nice to know that they are aware of it as well.
Plus he just reminded me that my next two payments I need to have for a government thing Im doing in three weeks where I will have to show that I have X amount in my bank account because Im an expat! I dont need the money to spend but I do need it in this country to show that I am viable and not going to be living of social services! I can move the appointment if I need to but I really really dont want to because I also need this to get my drivers licence so suddenly Im in the same boat as everyone else desperate to get my money and scrambling to see what else I can do for next week in case Cosmo is going to belly up!
I wonder if they are using our money to payoff losses from the stockmarket fall last week??? Just a theory, just me being paranoid

Only in this industry I have properly ground it out today four hours of slow SM traffic. I am so bloody pissed off. I work at this full time many sites atleast 60 hours a week is it too much to ask to get paid? What a bloody joke we are professional people with skills and we work long hours this is a joke I am foaming now I think about it. As for SM they recommended this to us as an option so sort it out.

Very few of us are using Cosmo. Sm's favorite models and studios are not using cosmo so I doubt they give a f. Beside, they first offered us a better alternative and that was paxum so is not like I could blame sm for anything. They just added Cosmo as they didn't have a secondary option for Europe, I am sure about that. That Cosmo is new (link above said Cosmo site is 61 days old) and maybe they shouldn't have to, I agree.
^^^ Right, we are not too many using Cosmo, i wanted it cause they actually offered a card that arrived in a reasonable time, the sign up process was easy as well while Paxum is complicated for many users, did not offer a card at that time just later on they decided to offer cards and they very slow in making and delivering them so yeah, pro's and con's with these payment processors.
I think SM offered Cosmo as an alternative for european models who said they wont cam on SM anymore before a viable payment method is implemented so SM wanted the models back on cam. Remember they took out both Paxum & First Choice as payment options when FC collapsed then i guess they were told we can still work with Paxum and transfer our money using local banks, other cards so on so they gave Paxum back.
I now feel Cosmo is a rip off but many big and important sites offered it so i believed they were to be trusted, been ground checked by the cam sites and all... i dont know anymore, THIS IS SUCH A MESS!!

It is a rule in the internet world that if a company does not have an address and telephone in their website, it is probably a scam. Streamate introduced to us this payment method (for non US models) so in my opinion they are responsible as well. They have to select their partners more carefuly, do a research about them and give us more contact info about them than an email. They give us Paxum as an option too, but they know that Paxum havent send to us plastic cards yet and it is quite complicated to receive payments from them at the moment. They introduced Cosmo, they send us the cards faster, so we chose to get paid from Cosmo, because I repeat Streamate introduced them to us, and we trust SM. All my money from more than 2 months of work are stuck in secondary balance like yours ladies. I am really scared what is going to happen and if I ever get them. If I dont, I am lost. I hope streamate take some responsibilty about this issue, I hope they will contact Cosmo, ask them to pay us. Sorry about my English ladies, I am so stressed that I cant write properly.

And judging by that rule and the link I posted it can be a scam. Maybe not yet but in the future, Cosmo can be the new epassporte. I'm paranoid, ofc.
^^^ I think & feel the scam is happening NOW, if they ever come back who will trust them anymore?! Their reputation is ruined already.
If they were honest & really had any kind of real issue with their system they would not have taken out the $3 as deposit fee plus they would have announced us by email and by a message on the main page about having issues.
I suspect they just want more money before they shut down the site completely u know, money from the models who will continue to let their next payments go into Cosmo accounts.
Cam sites should put a hold on Cosmo and not send any more money there!
I am even more paranoid & that's how i see things, to me they look and feel 99% scam, there is 1% hope to be wrong, i want to be wrong cause i want my money!

This is my question as well . Ok,lets say the Cosmopayment is a scam . Still why Streamate , Imlive and the rest of the sites that offered Cosmo as a payment method ,why they are not sending us messages , why they are not posting BIG and clear " CHANGE YOUR PAYMENT METHOD ! " . I'm sure about that there are lots of independent models that wanted Cosmo for the plastic card thing . Maybe they are not here , on this forum , this dont mean there are not lots of independent models that would be hit by the Cosmo mess . Like an example , i posted yesterday , into the Imlive payment forum , to Customer Service, telling them there are troubles with Cosmo and that they should contact them , for us ,and find out what is going on . They answered me they will forward the matter to their Payment department , just to find out today , they sent me an email -to my personal email that im registered with - asking me to change my payment method . But there is not an official post , into the Imlive forums , into their NEWS section , saying big and clear to everybody that use Cosmo , to change that . Not a message from Streamate as well . Im sure about that the sites that offered us Cosmo , being Business Customers , know more details about what is going on with Cosmo , but they dont want to tell us . Why ?

Ok girls we have a new issues now.. not sure if it's only me but apparently my account at Cosmo has been...locked??? I cannot login and I receive this message: Log in
"Your account has been locked. Please contact support." (like there is any support thats ...contactable)
That's the last thing I needed.
Maybe its the final kick in the ass for me to fuckin QUIT this shit for good!

They didnt said a word , nada ! So i asked them, into the public Payment forum , that is read by all of the hosts ,telling them Cosmo got troubles and kindly asking them to find out what is going on and they sent me a message to my personal email address : " We are contacting you in regards to your forum post.
We would like to let you know that if you wish to choose a different payment method, you will be able to do it 72 hours before the pay period has finished.
In addition, if you have decided to choose a different one than Cosmo, please do it ASAP.
Nothing into the forum , nothing related to what the heck is going on with Cosmo .

I agree with that they are not very generous with the details , but they still have a forum, where they answer in minutes . Mostly vague answers but they have 24/7 live support and this is a BIG thing .
^^^ I know, i have an account there myself, funny how they dont wanna discuss the cosmo issue in public i mean.
