For real? 11 year old me is intrigued.

Alexa and google can't find any songs, so i'll have to just take your word for it. Which i don't do. Not saying you're wrong, though.

She's not as well known as the others, but Zelma Davis of C+C Music Factory has an amazing voice.

For the best female backup singer, I would pick Merry Clayton. When she was several months pregnant, her producer friend gave her a call in the middle of the night and told her, "there are some guys in town from England. And they need someone to come and sing a duet with them". She did this in one or two takes. Sadly, she ended up having a miscarriage.

So did Melanie Thornton of La Bouche.

From that list I'd have to go with Madonna. She's been around the longest and wrote a lot of great, powerful songs. After her (from that list) I'd say Mariah Carey, as I love her voice and songs, then Christina Aguilera. Whitney Houston was also an incredible vocalist.

Probably Madonna because every pop star after her even now is influenced by her in some way and she did a lot of really innovative things. I think Jennifer Lopez is my personal favorite on the list though because I know she's maybe not the best "artist" but i've been a huge fan of her for pretty much my whole life and she's still an amazing performer at almost age 50. Dancing and performing always interests me more than the vocals.

I came across this video that isolates her vocals on Gimme Shelter. Amazing!

Her isolated vocals are at around 2:10 in the video.
