There has been an issue with the iWC messaging feature since they last changed it. I was hoping it was a bug that may be corrected soon, but it doesn't appear to be the case. I got the following message back on Feb 4th from a customer:

Hello, MsConstrued, I get notifications in my mailbox from time to time, but I can't see them on IWC. :-(
And my recent payout has TANKED compared to the last few months. Can you please reach out to the IT/messaging dept and let them know so they can look into it?

EDIT: I have also noticed that I can no longer see my 'mass messages' to customers. Usually if I send a message to 'All' when I went into an old conversation with a customer, all my new messages would be there. It doesn't appear that these messages are being sent.

I know I'm late to respond but I read how you (Mika) were asking what kinds of contests we liked, and I'd like to say I loved that Halloween contest where they picked one video a day to win a cash prize! It motivated me to try to publish something every single day. :) I feel like no matter the amount of the cash prize it's still motivating just because it's daily. The contests I don't like so much are the photo contests. It seems the photos that win aren't necessarily the best photos or even the ones with the most social media likes, so...it seems like you can't even try to win that lol.

Updates:

I am so excited to announce the following updates:

- Edit button in Sell Items now opens in a new tab.
We can now edit multiple clips! :)

- Uploaded previews are now the same dimensions as what we can create with the preview maker (600px)
We can now choose whether or not to use the preview maker. Each method is the same length and width! :)

Hello, I have a suggestion for adding a category to IWC :)

There are a lot of ethnic categories on iWantClips, but I've noticed there isn't any for Indian / South Asian specifically :) I think it would be a benefit to add that as a category, as I have lots of South Asian customers who purposefully seek South Asian / brown creators. For example, ManyVids has an 'Indian' category where South Asian and brown-skinned creators can submit their videos.

I know that India / Pakistan are a part of Asia, and can be considered 'Asian', but I think having the distinction between East Asian and South Asian is important as our skin tones and cultural differences are pretty vast, and a lot of my videos are about South Asian experiences specifically.

Out of the global top 10 most populated cities, 4 of them are based in South Asia :)

I've contacted support but wondering if anyone else is finding it impossible to upload today?

I get an error "missing a temporary folder", and for the gif upload it says "Could not save uploaded file.The upload was cancelled, or server error encountered".

I also tried FTP and I see the file upload go but when I go to choose the file it says not found even though my FTP client shows a completed upload to IWC server.

Will we ever get the ability to attach mp3s to our message responses? I love sending a voice message to my clients instead of text. Right now I've been attaching my mp3 to a video with a still pic but I hate the extra step.

Mp3 support would be nice. Ive mentioned this on a different forum. But I think he wasn't in the right department to pass that on? That would be amazing because being able to upsell with all popular formats is important. I mostly use iwc for the custom content form. I don't think anyone does it better than them when it comes to that. I'd love to be able to sale an audio clip via pay2view and not just mp4 or jpg.

Currently, IWantClips does allow for you to put MP3s up for sale. On your dashboard, just click Sell Items -> Add a PDF/Doc/Audio.

However, yes, MP3s in pay-to-view messages is currently not an option. However, it will be very soon with their upcoming improvement project. So, please look forward to this feature! :)

I completely agree that IWC has so much potential. For a newer company, I think they are doing great. I am looking forward to working with all of you to help make the site the best it can be for us.

Thank you so much for your feedback and follow up regarding MP3s.

There aren't any new updates, as of yet. MP3s can be sold in an Artist's store but they cannot be attached within a PTV nor sold as a custom. However, I am pleased to let you know that both of these features are being developed for the upcoming improvement project the team is working on.

Hi SapphireXO,

When an Artist is featured, it lasts for one week.

However, it may be important to note that new Artists are not automatically featured. To the best of my knowledge, a feature must be requested. This is due to the nature of clip sites in which, generally speaking, the more an Artist has available for customers to purchase, the more successful we have seen features to be for Artists.

So, whenever you feel you're ready for a feature as a new Artist, please reach out to support and let them know :) They can be contacted at: [email protected]

Currently, members do not have the ability to attach to us anything. Only we can attach things for them and send it as a normal message or pay-to-view message.

Not exactly sure if daily pay is meant more for IWC or for the model. I have been on the site for over a month and with daily pay's 5% deduction, the turn around time is poor. Every single charge has to clear over a week. Does the site not trust it's customers or provide any type of protection again charge backs? If the model provides the content instantly, why can't the model receive her funds for daily pay MUCH faster?!?! It takes so long for my daily pay to be deposited (usually make the pay out 2-3 times a week) that I might as well just do monthly pay with no % deduction. Depends on how it falls, each daily pay takes 7+ days to "clear" on IWC side then I have to wait for it to be business days so usually 10-12 days EACH TIME.

It does seem that previews aren't attaching within the Messaging Center. I have reported this error to the team so they are able to fix this as soon as possible.

To shed more light on this situation, iWantClips was the first clip site to offer Daily Pay for its Artists. This was created for Artists so they are able to get their funds more frequently if they so choose.

iWantClips did create an 8 calendar day buffer (6 business days - with the aim of getting funds to the Artist by the 9th day) to the daily payouts, due to the numerous attempts of users attempting to take advantage of this system.

For example, some people would use credit cards (stolen and/or unauthorized), tribute themselves, and then receive the payout the next day via daily pay. The buffer was thus created to give the team time to ensure the funds are not fraudulent and had some time to clear.

I hope this makes sense. Certainly, Daily Pay isn't the right choice for everyone so, if you'd feel better about Monthly or Bi-Monthly payouts, I encourage you to check those out and select the payout method that is right for you. Yes, for the "Name" field, you should write your full, legal name. ePayments requires both fields of information: your name and your Wallet ID number.

Hi Juliette25,

Artists are free to run raffles however they wish, with or without the use of PTVs. I'm not sure how exactly many Artists use PTVs but I'd imagine they each have their own spin on it. For example, purchasing the PTV could count as 1 ticket. Or, it could be a low cost PTV to obtain information about the raffle, that references a cost for a ticket that the fan must tribute for. Or, it could be a store item that is referred to, which would count as a ticket. There are many choices and you, as the Artist, can decide what's right for you and your fan base.

In my own personal experience, I found that fans don't really like to be contacted with a mass PTV message more than once per week, unless you both have a one-on-one dialog going.

Yes, you are able to put a banner into the rotation of iWantClips. They display near the bottom of the website, as another way to promote Artists on the site.

Please allow me to copy and paste to you the directions from our Support team, as that may be more helpful than me trying to paraphrase it. Of course, I am available to answer any other questions you may have.

Here is the information:


There are 2 options to have your banner posted.

Option 1: Please send us a banner for your Store and we will place it in our site's rotation.


The dimensions of your banner need to be 728 x 90.
The max file size is 2MB.
The allowed file types are jpg, png, gif, or jpeg. We prefer animated .gifs and feel these have the most impact for your promotion.

When your banner is displayed, and someone clicks on it, it will automatically send the customer to your Store.

Option 2: Our Graphics Design Team can make you a banner.

I recently had a request for a cam session and the guy wanted to pay through Iwantclips. Is there a way to do this since selling Skype IDs aren't allowed there?

I see there is a phone with cam category on Iwantphone so I added a iisting and I guess I tell the customer how to watch when they call?

I'd love your feedback and input regarding iWantClip's contests. What contests did you enjoy from iWC in the past? What contests would you enjoy now? What contests do you not enjoy?

I know iWC really wants to put out contests that a large, diverse group of artists will enjoy participating in that doesn't only reward highest earnings or something similar.

I know I am responding to an old post but please can we get tanktops earlier in the year for the Summer contest? I got mine when summer was over here. Like I still wear it but it sucks not being able to join in.
