Lol @ low authority. I know if I were him and wanted to convey authority I would not be asking to work for the opposing lawyer

Maybe he wanted to look innocent which would explain the lighter colors

He definitely look like he done had plenty of donuts

This stinks of desperation on the part of the prosecutors.

I also don't know why this judge is dragging his feet on this ruling. He may be hoping that the prosecution voluntarily drops the case so that he doesn't have to rule against them on the video evidence, idk. But at this point I think the prosecutors are too heavily invested in this to let it go. Another FL court just ruled against another prosecutor for video evidence obtained at a different spa using the exact same type of warrant, which does not bode well for the Jupiter case. The only question now is whether the state of FL chooses to appeal if it goes against them, because we can be damned sure that Kraft will file an emergency appeal if he doesn't get the ruling he wants.

We'll know more after May 21.

Yea.^

Glad U brought this back up, Ms P!

I remember the Commish saying he would judge him like anyone else accused.

& I also remember saying RK apologizing wasn't a good idea.

^the only thing adverse that has happened so far is

1. The spa got shut down. - no more early bird “specials”

2. Some dude rejected Krafts donation to help their school

3. His girlfriend is probably somewhere questioning her womanhood and wondering why men get with “2’s” when they have “10’s” at home

Maybe slowpoke can send you link to that article about the laws regarding privacy in bathrooms in places like adult bookstores

Might be more like they don't want to clean up someone else's jizz than legal repercussions.

Sec. 21.08. INDECENT EXPOSURE. (a) A person commits an offense if he exposes his anus or any part of his genitals with intent to arouse or gratify the sexual desire of any person, and he is reckless about whether another is present who will be offended or alarmed by his act.

(b) An offense under this section is a Class B misdemeanor.

Well I suppose that in addition to the indecent exposure, I thought dude could have been charged with sexual harassment (but now I’m researching and see that’s a civil not criminal matter?) and trespassing because she gave him permission to enter but then asked him to leave and he refused. And then using her bathroom to masturbate instead of piss ..... I don’t even know what law that is but it’s definitely a violation

Prosecutors attempt to leverage Kraft's attorneys through a ridiculous request for a contempt ruling has now failed too. No surprise. They are so used to pushing people around and forcing them to plead out that they just can't handle it when someone actually fights back.

Strap in boys and girls, because this ride is going to last for many months to come. There are serious constitutional issues that need to be dealt with and I for one will be cheering Kraft on the whole way.

That’s probably another reason why they draw it out.

Attention-seekers!

They gotta extend their 15 min of fame to stay relevant.

Not only the prosecution team is basking in the media notoriety fame but also RK. I never heard of these people until this case. I’m not a licensed lawyer but my guess is it does seem like this case could go down in the history books (or referenced in the digital archives) especially depending on the status of the appeal

RK can afford the pr team who will use this case notoriety to his advantage

Hmmm interesting. Anything is possible I suppose. Maybe Kraft really does just want to see his name plastered in the press, over and over, in connection with sucky sucky from a 52 year old sex worker at a seedy Asian massage parlor. :O

OR...

Maybe he's still fighting because it's still an active case and there's still the threat that video of his naked activities might be released? :teacher: :reporter:

I'll let other readers decide which they believe is more likely. ;D

Perfect analogy. Riding the tiger indeed. If FL prosecutors simply accepted the judge's ruling, dropped the charges and agreed to seal the video evidence, then this would already be over. But they didn't, probably because the State Attorney for Palm Beach County, David Aronberg, made a great political circus out of gloating in press conferences and quotes about catching Kraft in this net. Now he has egg on his face after the video ruling and has no choice but to 'ride the tiger" in order to save face.

General Tso's Chicken may be named after a 19th century Hunanese general, but he certainly never ate anything resembling the sticky-sweet meal. The dish as most Americans know it today was invented by Peng Chang-kuei, a chef from the Hunan province. A well-known and talented chef, Peng orchestrated and supervised the grand banquets of the Chinese Nationalist government from the end of World War II until they were toppled by Mao Zedong’s Communists in 1949, Fuschia Dunlop wrote for The New York Times Magazine in 2007. Peng fled the country and found refuge in Taiwan alongside the Nationalist leadership.

I'm not sure what his wealth has to do with the Constitutionality of "sneak and peak" warrants in places where nudity is expected, except that he is wealthy enough to hold the police to the fire for their misbehavior via the courts. But what he's doing will ultimately benefit all of us.

As slowpoke rightly said, the state smells a loss coming and is getting desperate. The scary part to me is the lengths the state has been willing to go to, including trying to have Kraft's lawyers held in contempt for their efforts at trial, seizing the bank accounts of the women who serviced Kraft to get them to cooperate and now this.

People who wield the power of the government are supposed be better than this. The arrogance and entitlement shown by the state DA office is mind blowing, which makes Kraft's efforts to reign them in all the more important.

Yes!

Imagine what lower economic people go thru when charged w/something that's even more serious.

Agreed and we've seen it on this very issue. Look at how many people took plea deals in other parlor cases and even overruled the lawyers who wanted to fight this blatant abuse of these warrants. If anything, this further fueled the smug arrogance of FL prosecutors, who assumed that nobody would ever challenge them.

I'm grateful they they finally netted a tiger with the will and means to put a stop to it. Not only is this going to exonerate every person caught by this sting, including the girls and Johns who could not fight this for themselves, but it is going to have implications statewide. As a FL resident who enjoys all sorts of activities, it will be comforting to know that the police will soon be much more limited in placing cameras in places where nudity is expected.
