OMG I forgot one important thing, practicing gratitude and keeping a gratitude journal!!! I have not fully developed this habit. But I do attempt to keep a gratitude journal. Some days they are lengthy novels like my posts, other days I just try to list 5 things I am grateful for. Some days I do not do it at all..but don't beat myself up for it. After every show, I thank the client and just say thank you out loud.
Is it just me, or does the self care practices sometimes get overwhelming. I have created a document of helpful videos, worksheets, etc and I am working thru them one by one depending on the day. For example, Monday is mindfulness monday and I watch and read mindfulness videos and do guided mindfulness meditations only. Friday is for feminine magnetism, where I practice healing my sexual and feminine energy, and so fourth. It helps me from getting overwhelmed. The days vary too, depending. If I find myself very stressed or anxious due to a life situation, I go to my self love/anxiety videos.
One day I may release it and start a site. But, I'd have to kind of make my own videos and worksheets to help both myself and others.
Im not an expert in any of this shit, we are all on our own personal journeys...but I feel there is a lack of people who are actually doing the work and recording their progress in blogs and videos. Too many "gurus" all telling us what to do, but none of their followers really posting their results.
I am very grateful for this post due to that...it is nice to see peoples actual results and how they went about getting there.

I fucking love ASMR too! I saw a clip on extra tv and me and my ex were kinda laughing at the concept. Then one night, I was looking at a hypno dommes videos for inspiration for my shows. In one video, the noises started giving me those euphoric feelings and tingles. I likened it to being on rx pills. The euphoria was amazing. That night, I went down the rabbit hole of asmr and had the best nights sleep I ever had. I binged on them for a few days after that, and started losing the sensation...so now I check them out and use them sparingly so I can feel the sensations intensely.

It is still a work in progress but I would be happy to send it over. It is pretty much just a link dump for now lol. Send me a pm and just remember it is a work in progress and I will continue to add things to it as I go along.
I do have my favorites right off the bat, and tend to stick with the familiar few.
Guided Meditations on Various Topics: Daushy, Michael Sealy, Jason Stevenson and Lauren Fenton Guided meditations on youtube. Their voices just speak to me.
Self development: Sadhguru, Actualized.org/Leo, Tolle, and audio books like Tao Te Ching, Alan Watts, The Four Agreements, etc.
LOA: Louise hay, Abraham Hicks, Eric Ho
Affirmation videos for whatever you need that day. I look up affirmations for self love, wealth, abundance, happiness and put them on in the shower before work.
And I do enjoy a motivational video every now and then. But they can tell me to "be happy and let go" all they want, but I had to learn HOW TO BE HAPPY and LET GO!
And this has been vital to my growth: https://thework.com/

I'm also super picky about ASMR, and find some of the triggers annoying.
I love ASMR for calming, but I have never been able to use it for sleep. Instead, I catch myself wanting to stay awake and listen or watch the videos longer.
Something that helps is the 4-7-8 breathing technique. When I have trouble falling asleep, this method always works quickly.
I tried that trigger before bed and found I was very alert listening to it. It didn't make me sleepy, but it did make me feel really good. I can see myself using it as a way to soothe and ground possibly during an anxiety attack as my senses seem heightened and I'm super focused.

I have to second the gratitude journal. I just started one about 4 weeks ago and it's been immensely helpful on days I feel blue. Plus the practice has me searching for things I'm grateful for daily. Additionally, I try to post in the "I'm Grateful For" thread in Ladies Only daily.
I try to hit all 5 areas of self care everyday and that can get a bit overwhelming, so I hear what you're saying. I find, however, that I remain in good spirits when I make it a point to do so:

Starting with step #1: sleep. A huge problem for me is just being constantly tired, and thats because i dont get to bed early enough. So....this week its about getting my sleep together. Getting my ass in bed by 10:30 every night so i can be refreshed when that alarm sounds at 6:30. One step at a time.

Yes laugh at everything stressful even if you fake it.
Most things we worry about don't even happen.
And what does happen basically works out in a written planned out brainstorm mind map. so when things could go wrong I write them out in outcomes and solutions.
I refuse to get sucked in the unproven panic we tend to post on social media. Some people love to create stress that isn't even real.
like right now paxum is having a card issue. I see it as they have to handle a global market some markets work better for others in getting paid, some websites only use paxum as a payment method so for something to hit on a global scale. I take my news from the source before I curl up in a ball cry for 10 minutes. if I can not find a solution after my crying session. I take a nap and come back to work out a solution.

Right! Also, I've incorporated an hr of stand up comedy viewing for 2 months now. It seems to help me sleep better as well.
I'm a problem solver by nature. I even saw a solutions based therapist for 2 years. Solutions not complaints help me succeed.

Thank you for sharing that wheel. Keeping a healthy life balance is SO important. This has been my focus for the past few years, and within that time, my entire life has completely transformed. Almost as if I'm a completely different and better person.
I never want to go back to that unbalanced life- and bad habits.

The wheel is awesome!
I had to bust my ass the past two days. Yesterday I meditated in the am and did a guided square breathing video....but no yoga or body weight exercises the past few days eek. I lifted too heavy a few days ago, and had an issue occur because of it.
I for the life of me couldnt sleep last night. I also have a habit of staying up late and really do not mind, but getting to sleep can be an issue..once I do I sleep 8 hours. I kept getting hot and cold, tossing and turning. I was not stressed but just uncomfortable.
So today I wake up "late" even tho there is no such thing as late in my world...But it is a bit anxiety inducing. Today was the last day of my pay period on my main site. I logged on within 30 mins of waking up which I try to avoid and only had a few hours to make a hefty goal. Well lo and behold I made it half way thru my night and just kept at it regardless. I tried to log off and still had members coming in lol. Cockblocking me from my bath tub and weed.
I did no self care thus far today and totally feel it. I am going to do some hatha yoga to relax, take my bath and puff lol. Tomorrow, I was going to take off because my BF was due back in town. He upgraded his flight so now he will not be here until the second, and I am kinda glad. I am going to only work my skypes tomorrow and set my site to pvt only mode. I will take off the 2nd and 3rd and I am so glad I have tomorrow for a full day of self care and taking care of errands and chores. For me, cleaning my home is also a self care practice. I love cleaning and a nice tidy space, it helps me clear my head. My house never gets "dirty" but the dishes and laundry have piled up. I am also pampering myself. I let myself go while bf was away lol. I have not shaved for a 2 weeks, need to pluck brows, all that girly stuff lol. I want him to pop an insta boner when he sees me. Though we facetime I am going to look even better than he remembered in person. I need to get fucked for like 2 days straight lol.

So glad I came across this thread because it made me realize I do no self care. I just walk around filled with stress especially on work days that don't go well and probably cause a lot of inflammation in my body that makes pre existing health problems worse....sigh...
I'll have to go through these posts again and get some ideas :)

Those are the 2 categories that can bring me down too. I'll think I'm over my depression then a bad thing or day will trigger it and I can feel my mind go down the rabbit hole. That of course causes me to get in my own way of success and happiness which keeps the cycle going.

Managing stress and self-care by setting boundaries. Knowing when to say no without explanation and speak up when you are uncomfortable. Stop looking for permission or approval to create the life you want. Don't be a people pleaser because all that will create is stress and anxiety.
Own your shit and stop blaming other people for what you're allowing. Be kind to yourself for not giving up because sometimes all that matters is that you're still trying. Treat yourself for putting in the hours, reaching goals. Get a pedicure, get your nails did, get your hair blown out, buy that damn pair of shoes, shop Amazon, go to Target, order more make up.

I agree with this. I also wanted to add that people also need to take more control over their business. Block anyone that stops your for reaching your financial goals and get rid of all companies that stops your money flow. :)

Find something you are Passionate about in the adult business and it will not feel so stressful. Money flows better to you when you find what you are best at, make YOU happy and what you enjoy doing. To me when my money is flowing, I feel a lot more at peace. We are our own bosses and get to run things the way we want to. Find what works for you and learn how best to capitalize on it.

You're welcome! I was introduced to the self care wheel last Nov & it has helped me live a more balanced life as well. I've noticed that I engage in the physical & emotional aspect a lot which keeps me healthy. But hitting all areas brings happiness & balance.

A tidy home keeps my anxiety levels low. I consider it self care too.

Got back to meditation, as well!! Wohoo!!
Reinstalled the Calm app into my phone. I used to use that app, a few years ago. The subscription is $50 per year, but worth every cent. It has different types of meditation: For relax, for stress, for anxiety, for sleep, for self love, for abundance, for gratitude, for commuting, etc.
You can use it for free, as well, it has a few basic meditation stuff, that are very useful, including the free 7 days guide to meditation.
The woman's voice is sooo calming and soft, I just love closing my eyes and listen to her, while guiding me.
Definately reccomend the app!!

The slowness on SM was dropping my vibration so I did a negative energy clearing meditation session to the serenity gong track. Here: https://youtu.be/e06iX7U3sMM
Meditating to the gong is proven to lower blood pressure. I feel better.
My intent today is to keep vibration high, eat clean, & drink 80 ounces water. I've eaten power greens, asparagus, sardines, with avocado & have had 40 ounces water so far. I'm having Kava tea to keep my cool.

Oh, nice!! No, I didn't log yet, I am not used to this habit yet so, I will take it slowly. Well, I actually force myself to take some steps, but not always. Yesterday I made 9500 (I went out in park for it), Today a little over 2000. After I wake up, I go straight to the park and take 10k steps :)))).
I average about 30k steps per week. During the summer I go up to 50k.
Now I have a little goal in mind, I want to reach my daily 10k again. I used to, back in the summer, at least 5 days a week.
I want to make it a habit.
PS: My past 28 days look sad. REALLY Sad. I want to see the charts going over that green line, for the next 28 days.

I had an anxiety attack yesterday despite sales being so good. I wasn't even sure what triggered it. I had, all day, practiced a lot of self care.

Today, at 6 AM I went and took about 7k steps, before sleep (I work night shifts) and the rest of the steps I took after I woke up. 10k steps today, goal reached.
I also meditated for 20 minutes before work. 10 minutes abundance manifestation and another 10 minutea of unguided meditation, I have only visualized the money I manifested today. I am gonna manifest 1k daily, untill I actually make it. I've manifested in the past and I know it's possible. My virbation is low now, but if I take breaks and meditate here and there and keep manifesting, I will raise my vibration.

I've been doing pretty good at managing my anxiety, but I started to feel overwhelmed today. Not sure why. I've been having days when I feel like reaching my goal will be easy and then I have days that I feel worried and don't think that I can do it.
I have less than 4 hours to make my goal and I'm not feeling very hopeful. I think that I'm going to split my shift on days like this. Maybe 3 hours in the afternoon and 3+ hours at night, when my family is asleep. I'm going to have to fight the urge to go to sleep but I think that I can ease my stress and anxiety this way. At least, on days when I'm feeling overwhelmed.

Maybe 3 hours in the afternoon and 3+ hours at night, when my family is asleep. I'm going to have to fight the urge to go to sleep but I think that I can ease my stress and anxiety this way. At least, on days when I'm feeling overwhelmed.
I find it interesting that I can be doing well (meeting or exceeding income goal for the day) & still be highly stressed. Sunday, for example, I dissociated (derealization) at high goal. If I hadn't meditated I would have taken the rest of the day off.
You've been doing well lately. Perhaps we are placing too much stress on ourselves when we perform well or otherwise.
I felt overwhelmed Sunday & I made twice high goal. It's such an odd thing good stress & bad stress.
Feeling stressed even though money is great for me this week, getting burnt out I think but I’m having tomorrow off ❤️
You've been killing it too. The good & bad stress must have reached its peak. Glad to hear you're off tomorrow. I'm off today & tomorrow. I'm planning to just self care & relax. I hope time with your BF is relaxing.

I just wanna say thank you so much, for your kind words: Nikki, Ms Sha..
I did not go thru w/the procedure, bc I found out the Dr. to work on me, has a couple (& his practice group had MORE) medical malpractice lawsuits!
I didn't really feel right from the get go, but I thought it was nervousness..I looked in my county's records.
One lady had permanent damage, & let me tell you, just reading the summaries, he's got a damn good lawyer!
Meanwhile people are fucking suffering..
I didn't realize, your tongue, speech, etc can be affected.
I'm just shuddering.
You're welcome. Good thing you listened to your gut.
