11th day on weight management pill and HOLY SHIT another 1/2 in gone in waist. That's 2 inches lost in waist when for months it just wouldn't budge. Super happy my hard work is paying off.

I'm eating extremely clean, hydrating optimally, exercising smart and weight training, sleeping well, and meditating fiercely.

I feel well and happy.

Just wondering what do you guys do if you have a cold, do you stream or do you just take the week off! I've just been through one with mixed success, and luckily found out fairly quick was not 'the lurgy' I have had plenty of tests (here in the UK we have home kits for immediate results, as well as testing centres and postal service PCR tests(labs)).

Of course a bucket of Vit C, echinacea, l-glut was consumed as soon as I felt the symptoms.

I find that if I take the first 2 or 3 days off with a cold, I'm usually okay to work after that. Maybe a few less hours than usual, depending how I feel.

I think that resting at the beginning of a cold helps a lot, plus taking extra vitamins, etc.

I hope you feel better!

I tend to do what I can. I've even been known to blow my nose during my shifts haha. But if I have a fever...fuck NO! A cold that makes me lethargic will have me in bed and sleeping 12 hrs then the next day I'm ok and stream.

But Carmen's advice is good advice.

Weighed myself. I've lost 6 lbs total since being on the weight management pill. I'm doing cardio daily and weights 5 times a week.

I hardly have wine. It's now 16 days on weight management pill and I've had a total of 4 glasses of red wine. I do not cheat on the pill either. I drink LOTS of water about 128 oz a day as I train for an hour everyday.

My resting heart rate was fine this AM so I did zone 3 & zone 4 intervals (lactate threshold) on the bike then 25 min legs and core.

I meditated before gym and feel very well.

Still on thyroid supplement, apple cider detox supplement, fish oil, and ashwagandha, plus my Beyond Greens. I'm having two smoothies a day with: pumpkin seeds, brazil nuts, chia seeds, almonds, pecans, blueberries, power greens, and plant based protein powder, then one lower carb meal. Calories are about 1800 a day. I burn about 2300 calories a day, sometimes 2600.

I am meditating at least twice a day now sometimes up to three times a day. So roughly an hour of meditation a day. I'm getting about 7.5-8 hrs rest a night.

I feel well and good.

Thank you so much for sharing your journey, Sha. Congratulations on all of your hard work, you are amazing! The math is what made a difference in weight management for me a few years ago. Sitting down and being brutally honest with myself, figuring out my personal calorie in/calorie out, the daily activity and age variables. I was surprised at how many calories I was actually consuming. That's when I finally got a hold on keeping my weight in check. I have no doubt that you'll reach your health goals!

Thanks!!! Yes, tracking food and calories in/out is really helpful. I used to use MyFitnessPal for that years ago and now I'm doing it with the Fitbit app.

Yeah, good for you too. It's such a good thing to be totally aware of what you're doing to your body :)

Thanks I was actually really good the first 2 days, absolutely on fire on SM.............then was just awful. That is how my colds go and I almost always get a horrible cough which is not compatible with my patter in free chat, I might however consider looking at my sleep because I really have not been allowing myself enough. I just want to do everything and doesn't help with other people [usually in other jobs] say "Well I work umpteen hour days with 4 hours sleep".

Sleep is important period, but when you have a cold even more so. I'd try a full day of rest and hydration then sleep at least 8 hrs.

Hope you feel better soon :)

^^They are! Now I've lost another lb. Total now 8 lbs!!!

Resting heart rate was lower today so I was able to do HIIT on the bike for 32 min (5 min warm up, 22 min HIIT, and 5 min cool down. Then did 23 min legs.

I slept 7.5 hrs with a sleep score of 90 and feel fantastic. Going to keep a high vibe and try to make the $40 I need to cover bills. I think I can do it.

Will meditate when it gets dead, but will GTFBackO right away. I've already streamed 25 hrs on SM and get bonus. Still need $40 tho.

Willing it!!!

For the month of July I'm gonna be doing 40 hr weeks. I'll need to self care hard core. I plan to keep up with the clean eating, hydration, exercise, good sleep, and meditation.

I know I'll need some social medicine too so I plan to go out at least twice with my girlfriends.

Just spent the weekend with my daughter and granddaughter and it was sooooo nice. Not having to cam, spend quality time with them, and cheat on my diet a little was very welcome. I miss them already, but if I just grind hard the month of July I'll be moved closer in Aug which is just around the corner.

Man, this ashwagandha is pretty effective. I've been taking a relatively high dose daily for exactly 4 weeks and I'm really rather chill on cam. I used to get so angry during slow times and allow time wasters and freeloaders to upset me, but now I'm just like "Who really gives a fuck? They're not getting what they want. No issue."

And any derealization episodes I have are super mild and resolve themselves in like an hour. Dude, it really does work to reduce anxiety and stress. I mean, my cortisol levels prove it. I had been taking the supplement for about 2 weeks when I had my levels tested and even trained indoor bike for 30 min a couple hours before the test which should have increased my cortisol levels, but they were at a low 7.90 ug/dL on the scale of 5.27 - 22.45 ug/dL being the healthy range.

If anyone is thinking about taking ashwagandha for stress relief, thyroid support, weight management, lower cortisol levels, etc I'd highly recommend it!!!

hollycow, i have spent the past 2 days in bed recovering from the covid vaccine. i would have never thought i would have had such a strong reaction to the vaccine. i had chills, high fever, feeling exhausted , body aches and pains all day and night. feeling so weak i couldnt get out of bed until a few hours ago.
i am sad i missed the bonus and contest but i have to relax. this sucks.
oh well atleast i got a vaccine, so many countries and people are literally dying just to get one.
but still wasnt expecting that!!

Very pleased with the weight management pill. 26 days and I've lost a total of 10 lbs. My habits have changed quite a bit. In the 26 days I've only cheated on my clean eating habits a handful of times. I have cut out wine almost completely.

I had a talk with my Dr and told her everything that I eat, how often I eat, how many calories in/out, how much I'm exercising and lifting, sleeping, plus hydrating and she's very pleased with the results. I can be on the pill as long as 3 months, but I feel just 1 more month will suffice. She's refilling the prescription.

I'm so fuckin impressed with my will power and discipline. All the hard work is paying off. So cool!!!

Today is my 44th birthday and while I'm not happy with how old I am, I can say that the wisdom that comes with it is exceptional. Today is just one full day of self care.

I slept 7.5 hrs soundly and got a sleep score of 88 which is great. I was grateful for another day and time to manifest my hopes and dreams when I woke then started my morning routine: 32 oz cold water with supplements (ashwagandha, apple cider detox, thyroid support, fish oil, and my weight management pill), a cup of green tea kombucha with echinacea and slice of lemon, then pre-workout so I could rock TABATA at the gym since my resting heart rate was low.

Gym at 5am-6:10am where I did 22 min on the bike that included TABATA which is 20 second all out sprints with only a 30 second rest period repeated for 8 rounds. I did a 7 min warm up and a 7 min cool down. I then moved onto strength training which consisted of arms, shoulders, and back for the rest of the time. I consumed another 32 oz of water during that training session then also had 12oz of an electrolyte replacement drink.

Headed home with self love subliminal affirmations playing on my bluetooth earbuds. I kept the subliminals playing for quite a while. I made my smoothie: 8 oz water, Beyond Greens, plant based protein powder, pecans, almonds, brazil nuts, chia seeds, blueberries, and ice. Then I took a very long exfoliation shower with the subliminals still playing. I scrubbed the shit out of this birthday body haha. It is after all my temple and it needed some care. I triple washed my hair (I only wash it once a week). After the shower I applied PURA D'OR Organic Moroccan Argan Oil to my whole body, face, and hair which felt absolutely amazing!!!

With the subliminals still playing I gave myself a pedicure which, by the way, turned out smashingly well and my toes look perfect!

I'm not using the AC during the day to conserve energy, so I laid down nude in bed under my ceiling fan, put the earbuds up, then read super inspirational stories for over an hour while listening to chill electronic.

I've gotten some great birthday wishes so far and this day is really so peaceful.

I'm going to make my lunch smoothie then do some laundry and watch motivational YouTube vids on my projector...just continue to bask in this fucking freedom.

I have plans for dinner with a good girlfriend and I'm going to have two glasses of wine to celebrate this good life I have. Thank you Universe for such blessings!!!

I agree with Marina. You should be proud of 44! It's a shame how much pressure society puts on women to "look young". I'm almost 20 years older than you and still rocking it:). There is nothing to fear about getting older. Letting the fear go and embracing your age is an indescribable feeling of freedom.

Ladies, I'll get there one day. I love myself that's for sure, but knowing my time is running out quickly it seems bothers me. I'm being honest & it's not something that brings me joy currently.

It's great you both have embraced your years & are proud. That's commendable.

I am where I am right now & it's uncomfortable just like being unsure if tomorrow is my last day here on earth.

i agree… I love being in my 40s, would no way want to be in my 20s again, too much inner anxiety to cope with. With my 40s brought wisdom, self acceptance and I’m so chilled. Anyway with the aid of science one doesn’t need to have wrinkles (filler, Botox etc) give me all that!! Plus a great diet, exercise and much self love. I can’t say that every birthday I think bloody hell im 40 something but to be honest I don’t let it bother me now, you can’t change getting older so May as well embrace the process and be grateful. Hope you had a nice birthday xx

I think you ladies are missing what I'm trying to convey. I'm healthier now than I was in my 20s. I'm stronger and wiser. I'm not afraid of wrinkles or looking older. That's not the issue.

The rub is I only have so much time to manifest my hopes and dreams and the older I get the shorter amount of time I have to receive all that I deserve.

It's not about aesthetics, it's about time.

Most definitely works for me too. Any tasks really. I get that sense of reward from eating right, drinking enough, working out, you know stuff that takes effort. It hits my dopamine receptor for real and I like that feeling of accomplishment.

I hope my post about how you should be proud of getting older doesn't make you feel some kind of way. What I simply trying to convey was getting to your age is truly a blessing. It is in no way suggesting you have to feel joyous or excited about turning 44. You are entitled to feel whatever you feel about your age and that's totally okay. What you feel is valid.

Well this burnout snuck up on me! Was only able to make myself work like 3 hours since Sunday, when I stopped real close to my 14 hr contest goal. Cannot make myself do it this week. I have been getting decent at catching it before it hits but obviously not perfect.

I know for sure it's that because I get this raging desire for novelty when I am burned out. Just now I suddenly want to get my ears re-pieced after being closed for 10 years. There are worse things I could do for dopamine.

I know that I am really hard on myself, and really actively work on not doing that, but burn out just amplifies that in a way I don't appreciate. Like I do all the things (go for walks, read, workout, talk to people, journal) already so it's kinda just a matter of waiting it out. grr

If only we didn't have energy limits. Sigh...I was full of energy last night, ready to stay on till 3 or 4 am but exhaustion hit suddenly at 1:00.

Think of it this way...absence makes the heart (or dick in our case) grow fonder.

Yesterday was just one huge mess. I was tired, vibe low, and had a headache. Tried 5 hrs with lots of breaks to meditate and nap yet still couldn't make much at all. Ended that shift with $20+.

I vowed to get good sleep so I could kill it today and fuck yes...totally accomplished that:

55481

Got a sleep score of 90 and mood was incredible.

I killed it at the gym today: 40 min Strength ride in power zones 5 and 1. 1 min very hard push in zone 5 with a 2 min recovery in zone 1. Dude, legs were on fire at 30 seconds and that last 30 seconds was sooooo hard. Very heavy resistance (steep hills) at super low cadence (60 rpms). Man, total grind hahaha.

Then I did 20 min of arms, shoulders, and back.

Feelin good AF. Had my super clean smoothie and I'm ready for 7-8 hrs today. Gonna conquer my money goals for sure this week. I just know it.

22.5/40 hrs and I'm gonna meet this hours goal for sure!!!

Well yesterday, despite a high vibe and lots of self care, it was a total flop. 8 hrs for $20+. To say I was disappointed is an understatement, but I slept very well last night and I'm going to attempt a 10-12 hr shift with lots of breaks to meditate, eat well, and take short breaks to walk or stretch.

I am not giving up this week. I'm at 30.5/40 hrs and willing to stream up to 50 this week to conquer my money goals.

This whole month is about grinding and taking good care of myself.

33 days on weight management pill and I've lost a total of 11 lbs. 3 inches off my waist, and inch off my hips, arms and legs the same tho. OMFG all the right food, hydration, exercise, sleep, meditation, supplements and cutting out things like wine and night snacking has totally paid off.

I'm not using the pill for 3 months like I could. Instead I told my Dr that one more month would suffice. So I'll be starting to taper off it week two by cutting the pill in half and taking it daily, then week three taking the half every other day, and the last week half every two days. She said this should prevent any type of withdrawal.

The pill can actually be abused and become habit forming, but I'm not worried about that. I have new habits that I think will continue once I'm off it.

Oh, and there's a small store right next to my apt where I used to frequent daily for wine and other stuff. There's a guy who works there that I talk to often when I'm buying stuff. Well, I haven't been to the store much at all as I don't even really drink wine. I happened to go there yesterday and it was the first time he saw me in I think 3 weeks. Dude, he said "whoa, you lost weight!"

I'm just like so totally grateful for my Dr. She listens to me, offers suggestions, and helps me reach my goals.

I wanted a wellness check with STDs and to check thyroid and cholesterol plus other stuff and even do a pap same day on short notice and she obliged. When I mentioned I was concerned that perhaps my cortisol levels could have caused the weight gain she immediately tested for those.

Fuck, I just feel so blessed to have the right people in my life. I'm healthy and happy.

Ashwagandha is good shit- I definitely recommend it. I had quit taking it for a bit- no particular reason- just forgot about it. I started taking it again about a week or two ago.

Life had been a little chaotic for me- I think the dust is beginning to settle (thankfully.)

I am really happy for you and all the awesomeness that is happening and coming to you! I knew it would!!! Sorry I have been quiet lately-I'll post an update later- gotta get a walk in before it rains :)

^^No need to apologize. It's all good. I'm glad to hear the dust is settling for you. While some good stuff is happening for me there is still a lot of chaos in my life right now. I keep watching YouTube vids about when life seems real chaotic or it's like the shit is hitting the fan...the Universe is actually arranging things so your manifestation can come to fruition. It helps me out a lot and keeps hope alive.

A walk sounds good :)

3rd week with an hours goal of 40. The last two weeks were doable. I am not feeling the effects of burnout. While my sleep is sometimes broken up, I make up for it with meditation and a nap following it. I usually get about 7-8 hrs rest total if my sleep is broken up.

I am meditating at least twice a day and sometimes a nap of about an hour (that includes a meditation plus sleep as I sometimes fall asleep while meditating).

I am fueling up very very well getting tons of nutrients and lots of food with electrolytes as I drink so much water. I'm drinking about 120-140 oz of water a day if I train for an hour at the gym, which I do Mon-Sat. Sundays I take off.

I know I can do another 40 hr week and conquer my money goals. I have no other choice at this point. My savings is at $0. I have spent quite a bit getting everything ready to move into the new luxury apt. My expenses have risen to a very high level so I HAVE to do this or I'll sink and pretty much be homeless or live in an airbnb for a while. Not looking forward to that if it happens.

_______________________________________________

Things have been crazy since this spring. My aunt passed away two weeks ago- she had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. After my grandmother passed my family decided to have regular family get together's which is good-but I get peopled out easily.

My aunt's funeral was good-there was a lot of good memories shared and joy, and tears. I think what made it easier for all of us was her optimistic outlook on her diagnosis- she made the most of her time while she was here.

I let go of alot of self care stuff in the midst of all of that.

Currently baby stepping with exercise and meditation. My fitbit broke a couple of month's ago and I replaced with it Amazon's Halo band.
There are alot of good program's on Halo that is helping. Currently doing a walking meditation- it's really grounding and then basics of meditation to get back into the habit of it again.
I bought kettlebells and a foam roller to add to workouts for strength. Worked out with them. Plan to workout with them twice a week.

I am fully vaccinated now and now that things have opened back up- I am going to recovery meetings at least twice a month. I find it helpful to be able to "real" talk with others.

Financial self care is going good. Got one debt paid off and eliminated another one.

Family is well. All are either recovered from health issues and/or healthy for the time being.
I am building my energy back up because I am ready to ENJOY LIVING!!!
