I am not into exclusivity at all, whether it's a country club or an online forum. I realize that it's important for a lot of people to belong to a group. I don't define myself by the people I hang with, hence, I have an extremely diverse group of friends all over the country.
When I say public, I mean literally anyone...not just members on here, not just camgirls, it can be our customers and some of use our cam names.
It's about being able to talk openly in a way that many can't on these open forums, not about wanting to belong to a select club.
Also, the structure of a group means being able to have headings of separate discussions rather than one long thread like this.

Wow! I had not thought of that angle. Thank you, Classy! I am a techno dummy, but a whiz in public relations. Plus, I feel safe on SW in an open forum.
However, Glamourmilf has admittedly found it hard to maintain two exclusive groups within this forum. I have no way of knowing this for real. But, I think that she may have run into disinterest in both of her private groups because of the dedication it requires and the amount of mental time that provides interesting reading material. That is what it takes to keep new and interesting posts coming in while peppering the group posts with a lot of wit thrown in. If she comes back to this thread, I’d love to help her revive her groups.
OH yeah! I wear glasses. LOL, I think it would be hard to wear a mask with glasses. I have not experienced a glare though.
Silly me i bought a carnival type hard material mask for Halloween just to realize i cant wear it on cam because i wear glasses and is impossible to wear both ha!
Even the fabric would be a soft one glasses and mask are simply not compatible, it looks not good together, only if u wear contacts.

LOL AWE, I get having to wear glasses!!!
There is a shadow on my glasses that makes me look like I have unibrow if I don't watch my angles. I have to wear glasses, I can't put a contact in my eyes if my life depended on it.

I HAVE TO wear readers, I f'n hate them, they press on the bridge of my nose, then I get red spider veins/blotches.
I need new glasses!

I need new glasses really really bad! I'm going to get them at America's best. $70 for an eye exam and 2 pair. They're not designer/upscale frames, but that's what I'm getting.

I have always hated the eye docs. Since I was 23 they wanted to put tri-focals on me. Last year I let them do it to the tune of $600. What a waste, I hate those lenses. I have given them so many chances and the only part that works is he bottom half that helps me see close up (far-sighted)...so.... $1 store glasses work even better then my damn RX ones.
I did not wear glasses all the time until about 2 years :( At first on cam I thought oh yeah.... sexy secretary.... then the glare!!! However.... SMC on SM has dark mode. I have not used it much and wonder if putting everything in the dark mode/high contrast will help with the glare.
Anyone test it out?
When u guys say 'glare' u refer to the glare of the screen or the screen reflection seen on glasses lenses when on cam?
I always keep camera at a higher position/ angle so there is no screen reflection on my lenses and on SMC i use the dark theme, is better for the eyes than the bright white.

I use the dark theme. But I never had glare either way

I wear contact lenses...I don't think I would have any customers if I wore my glasses. My eyesight is so short, I get free eye tests...my lenses make light even brighter so I have a special SAD daylight lamp high up and not directly in front of me (I use skiing sunglasses for driving when the sun is low). I also look between my cam laptop slightly to the side and another laptop in front of me...it's important to not have a fixed point of focus for long periods.

The computer has worn down my vision. I started camming with 20/20. I sit with a dead stare on my computer. I do nails as far as my trade, worked in nightclubs and lost a good amount my hearing from that.
My typing skills are much better:)my words get jumbled. I think faster than i type.
I don't think I would have any customers if I wore my glasses.
Why do u say that, is wearing glasses a disadvantage for models?!

Glasses have no effect, just like guys who like big tits and guys who like little tits. A lot of guys think glasses are sexy. Guys who like glasses will seek out models who wear glasses. I doubt your fan base would drop you because you wear glasses.

I was talking about myself and only myself...I am severely short sighted and extremely ugly in glasses. Just me, not talking about anyone else. I am not talking about glasses in general, I have severe short sightedness.
Just realised that people may not be aware...when you have a very strong prescription for your lenses, even with extra-lenses that they can produce these days...it still affects how you look.

^^^^lol I do that shit all the time. all the time bc zi do talk so much shit about MYSELF openly. lol
I will talk about what doesnt work for me or what works for me and some think I am saying it doesnt work for the world. lol
it doesnt look good on me, i dont sell shows looking xyz and next thing you know I am thrown to cross to be burned but I was referring to myself.
burn baby burn lol

Right, i was confused as to why u made that statement but then i was thinking u might need the very thick lenses that dont look good on cam so yes, i understand why.
Sometimes this kind of statement can confuse people if u dont tell a reason as why xyz is not working for you. Thank u for clarifying xx

That's why I said in my first post that I am very short sighted and that I get free tests because of it...I did give context to my statement about myself. I also didn't say that no one would get any customers, which clearly they do, I was just referring to how I look.

Katy, I just have to ask...Has anyone ever told you that you look ugly in glasses, or is that your opinion of yourself in glasses? Our visual perceptions of ourselves are highly subjective. Others may completely disagree.

I get it, I feel like this in my glasses most of the time because I have tri-focals. No way around it, I have to have big frames and magnifying glasses basically lol.

^^^ Nice one, the way i see things here regarding social media, it was made so u dont have to go out and bother people with ur stuff, u just post whatever u feel like and who likes it, fine, who dont, fine also.
Going out and doing the same things u do on social media is called harassment cause is unwanted but online it's different.
Good one tho, made me smile ty!

I cannot STAND facebook. I realize it's importance, but I hate facebook. Have you read the latest facebook algorithms? I rarely use the word hate. That's why I made that thing. LOL
If you use facebook for camming promotion, check out this link on the new facebook guidelines for authors, but these will apply to anyone using facebook for promotional purposes. .

Not using Facebook or any other platform to advertise my cam activity or other business, i have my account for recreational purpose only. Not part of any group either so yeah, not affected or involved in important stuff on FB.

I finally decided for certain the other day that I couldn't do social media anymore (not for camming, I mean for personal use). I found myself simply reading some posts in a group, completely unrelated to the topic but post after post was some idiot whining about an abusive ex or sharing some useless meme also irrelevant to the topic at hand. And this happens so often in so many groups/pages. It's like the most dysfunctional, miserable losers of all of society all congregate and seek pity/attention nonstop on social media. Those loons really clog up the internet works so to speak lol. Then you walk down the street and it's nice and everyone smiles at each other and you feed some birds at the park or get a taco or something and chat with sane, normal strangers at a coffee shop etc. Social media gives a very skewed version of reality, and it's scary and depressing af. It's also very easy to avoid crazy people IRL but not on social media where you're inundated with one after another after another. Most people on average are much healthier than the people overrepresented and "talking" on Facebook etc.

I was just thinking this the other day.
The groups that I'm in on Facebook, just seem to have the same subject matter ( complaints), over and over.
Just the person who's posting is different.
It's like the lyric in that song, "It's all the same. Only the names have changed."
The rest of it is just weird older men from my town, who just comment on how sexy I am.
Or middle Eastern men wanting to chat. Blech!
Unfortunately, most, if not all people where I now live only want to talk about their ailments and doctors visits. But, heaven forbid, I talk about mine. They don't want to listen.
How boring.
I live in the most beautiful place on the planet.
So, just exploring it is enough for me, and makes me happy.

LOL so true. Who wants to chat on Facebook rather than irl unless you're in some way incapacitated or needing help, advice or things aren't going well in your life? The people always talking in groups always seem "stuck"- unemployed, poor, sick, old, frail, have life problems etc. The middle eastern men with fake photos are always complete strangers you have nothing in common and I always wonder how/where they even saw my profile. It's like the freeloaders asking you for free sex work on cam sites, or the Nigerian scammers...same mentality. Lonely, pathetic, useless, entitled. And yeah, after a tough life of struggle, I think I found my paradise. I live on the gulf coast, the most beautiful place certainly in America I think!!! My life is full of the things and people I love and I love exploring every day. Even with my health struggles I'm still happy.

I enjoyed reading through this thread. I’m 63 and am told I look years younger. I do well with camming and have quite a lot of regs. I am lucky enough to have a good shapely figure, still firm through years of mountain and hill walking. I’m in the granny category on SM and love that fact. To be a hot sexy granny is an honour and great fun. I use the milf and gilf tag on chaturbate and in my real age group on AW. I don’t show my face when performing but will show briefly when asked if I’m fully clothed. I have to wear glasses and hate it but so many men say it is a turn on, so I’ll make that a positive then. Even when I was an escort, I started at age 57, my age was an advantage not a hindrance. I love flaunting this body and want to for as long as it’s presentable.

Good for you! Get it :)
I've been thinking about this lately. It's very easy to get distracted and down hearted when you're scrolling through Twitter with the reams and reams of 20-year olds with their perfect makeup skills and exciting lives. Although I don't look anywhere near my age and have no intention of raising my persona age anytime soon, I do sometimes long to see women 30+ on my feed, to see what they're getting up to etc.

I'm 38, but unfortunately I am awful about maintaining my Twitter. I too look much, much, younger and I have been advertising in other types of sex work as 26 for about 10 years. Every once in awhile I chuckle to myself about it cause when I open my mouth, you can tell I am not 26.
At one point, I was looking at a porn studio, and they tried to pigion-hole me into the "Milf" category. I hung up on them. I'm childless lol. If anything, I'm a couger not a Milf.

Hahahaha me too!! I'm only saying 26 now as stupid Adultwork won't let me go younger than that as I said I was 23 when I joined up and now if I try to change the date it says I can't cause that would've made me under 18 at the time doh. I'd still say 23 otherwise. I can def still pull it off. Except like you say, when I open my mouth...
I know a few other AW ladies who actually deleted their accounts and made new ones for this exact reason. They're both 35+ too and now say they're 18. Love it;D
