I just came from working in Seattle, i worked 4 weeks straight with only taking 4 days off. I work day shift and it was normal-busy for me. We even had people coming in saying that they were told to Work from home and were bored so they came into the club. Some of you are going to be upset by that but please understand, I do not have the patience to type everything that we have been learning about getting Coronavirus but the take home is that it’s very very communicable and working in a strip club or not, you’re going to be exposed if it’s in your area.

I think people are starting to get nervous now though so the club environments will be changing. Hope that is helpful.

If you aren't really going anywhere outside your home then your somewhat safer than say going out in the public. My ass has not left the house in days now & I feel more safe than I would if I were leaving the house on a daily basis out & about. Not trying to argue, just sayin....

I went in tonight and this chic was being a selfish asshole tonight. She came in sick and heavily medicated. I told on her.

If you're sick, stay the fuck home!

This is why I stopped going in. I’m actually more worried about the sick desperate girls than the customers! Bc those girls don’t care they need money the customers don’t need to go to a strip club.

I’m anticipating a recession coming after this. Our economy was not meant to have so many people not working. A lot of industries are being affected by this. Ladies, save your money and prepare for the worst. The fear is not death from the virus because most of us will be able to overcame it. The fear is spreading it too quickly and overwhelming the hospitals to the point that the people most likely to die are unable to receive the proper treatment. The concern is all the people that will be laid off, all the system that are short staffed... Social distancing is a wonderful thing to do right now, to stop the spread and slow down some of the above issues. Take care.

For real. The TP shortage is bogus. Are people shitting more than eating? But it's getting worse day by day with even food if I go to the store. I'm good with staying home with my savings.

They know it is bogus. They are wanting to resell the TP for a profit. They're shitty creeps. Pun intended, lol.

Not everything here has closed, including the clubs. Most school have though and that's a possible sign that businesses will later. Last week at the club I've noticed a small slowdown during the day hours but the weekends had it's party vibe as usual. However most guys that showed up were locals and less traveling business men, which had a slight negative effect on my money. Since the president declared a national emergency Friday, people are starting to shop wildly so now I'm debating whether to go in next week. Some of my friend's workplaces are encouraging people to work from home. Large events are being canceled, etc.

Meh..

The CDC has just recommended all events of 50+ people be cancelled for the next 8 weeks... this shit is unreal

Bars and restaurants are closed here until April. I'm not sure if the means strip clubs are too. My mom told me she heard through a friend that Trump is going to announce a 2 week quarantine for some cities, which means the club would be closed then. Hopefully that's not true...but I don't even think I'm going in until this blows over.

Southwest here, only a dozen cases or so confirmed. My last shift at the club was fairly slow, daytime on Friday. There were a ton of girls though & all worried about the virus. The owner has been making jokes about it for a month now including posting on the outdoor sign ::) That comes off as in poor taste now... He isn't going to close unless forced by a government mandate.

All the restaurants in our chain's sales plummeted, like 45-60% down. It was bizarre how Wednesday it was business as usual and then Saturday my income was cut in half, like almost overnight. I doubt they will close either except if forced. If it comes to that, I assume my SO would still be paid since he is salaried but everyone else would probably get nothing.

I feel awful for the people who are actually getting full-on laid off over this. The Vegas strip employees are having a hell of a time. It's fucked up that companies are doing that vs just saying "We'll call everyone when we re-open"...

Cases spiked in my county. I travel 3 hours to strip and will not be out that way for 3-4 weeks ( good scenario ).
Restaurants ( most ) closed here + all events cancelled.
My fave movie theatre closed ( really the only social amenity I care about ).
Stay safe. Relax. We will get that $$ again ..... we just don't know when yet ( at least in my area ).

All bars, night clubs and restaurants in my state and the state next to me are closing today. I’m in Michigan. We have until 3 PM EST. Carry out and delivery only after that time.

I work in Philly and NYC. New Yoke clubs are closed. I don’t know when they’re going to open again. Awfully clubs and restaurants are closing by five today. Not sure when they’re going to open again either. I’m really worried because I planned on paying taxes and it’s already been a really slow year at my club. I finally started making money in New York and of course this happens. I just hope this blows over soon and we can get back to making money ASAP. Good luck ladies.

Update: Trump presser right now. New guidelines:

avoiding gatherings of more than 10 people
avoiding eating at bars, restaurants and food courts
limiting discretionary travel, social visits
home schooling

^ Whoa. Long closure for you guys.
The two counties I’m in the most closed all sit down restaurant options.
You can still get take out. Things seem so much more serious here than even 5-6 days ago.

How about we take a different direction and discuss what can be done to make some money if your club does get shut down or your money continues to plummet?

Immediate thought: lots of parents with kids out of school will need babysitters. There's something. I have seen cleaning businesses advertising looking for extra hands, everyone is going nuts wanting their house deep cleaned. Could do that independently.

There is always the nude cleaning market. Though I would suggest cleaning in pairs and/or hiring a “driver” to keep you safe. Though, I understand if many dancers would be uncomfortable to go OTC.

I would definitely suggest camming in the meantime. Guys are going to be home; lonely, horny and isolated from the world. That means they will be jerking off.

My entire state (Connecticut) is closed. The only things that’s open is grocery stores, gas stations, hospitals...and pharmacies. Every single other thing is closed. Rhode Island also closed all clubs a few day’s ago not sure about anything else..I believe mass and is also following Connecticut’s guidelines as well.

So many small businesses and employees losing their jobs, heartbreaking to see. Bartenders, waitresses, strippers, etc. who knows what will happen with us financially in a few months. I was reading reddit people are saying we’re heading into a recession. It’s like choosing our poison, economic failure and recession or letting virus run its course and kill many. I am so sad I just want to visit with my grandmother and talk to her about all the things I’m feeling but she is 78 years old I cannot risk that. It’s like what’s the point anymore... My depression is spiraling badly.

Honey just know that we are all in this together. I feel the same way you do this is so hard on us all but at least our government is trying to help. We can’t all be working and getting sick just take this time to relax at home with people you care about.

^ Because ( in this area anyway ) there was a two week " shutdown " estimate and it started Monday. I personally things will be in somewhat normal operation at the end of estimate #1. BUT .... I'm not counting on it or anything. Just a feeling I have.

I fee the same about my club. My state is shut down for 3 weeks. It started as a restaurant/bar shutdown then beginning Monday ALL businesses must shuttle down for 2 weeks so 3 week total. I work in the next state over. Their 2 week shut down began Wednesday but so far have not shut down the remainder of business. I know the owner of my club was even questioning whether or not they would have to close since it’s a private club but I think the fact that it’s a bar of course had them close.
It’s all very scary and uncertain times. I will have to find someone else to watch my daughter when I finally do get back to work because my parents are older and are terrified of this virus, rightfully so.
Hopefully since many people there are not out of work, out main customers oil/gas, pipeliners, when we do re-opnen they will be ready for some fun and spending.

I've cleaned up this thread of all arguing, insults, and politics. I'm sure there's probably other threads discussing the science and/or opinions about the virus. If your post was removed, it wasn't necessarily "bad," but related to off-topic discussions. I'd like this thread to remain about closure announcements, and what ya'll are doing to get through this hard economic time. Everyone is worried about their money and health right now. We need to keep sticking together and lift each other up, not bicker.

Hi everyone, hope you all are maintaining your sanity during these trying times. I’ve been away from stripper for months because during the last year I’ve been focusing on my exit plan. This meant I spent way less time at the club (too easy to get caught up in the drinking plus the constant exhaustion. During my time away I landed a gig in the finance dept at a biotech (without a relevant degree or experience because I knew someone who recommended me and I nailed the interviews) and I also started working part time at a restaurant as a bartender. Highly recommend bar tending for anyone transitioning from dancing btw. Well, before the pandemic and definitely after. I’m exceptionally lucky that although my restaurant job is shut down due to COVID-19 the biotech job is requiring us to work remotely and can weather this crisis. I kept thinking about all my stripper friends who only have the club and how highly stressed they must be. Especially if they have children. I still plan on returning to the club whenever they re open as there will definitely be money to be made and more than ever I want to continue to throw money in savings. All we can do is be there for each other and take the lessons this is teaching us to heart. And save your $$$$! Also, this would be a good a time as any to try camming. I’m using this time to work out, focus on my podcast launch (August) ,re doing my bedroom and learning more about stock investments. Do whatever self care u can even if it’s just a cup of tea or a homemade face mask.

Also the President tweeted that we don't want the cure to be worse than the disease. Meaning he wants to send people back to work and OK businesses to reopen.

My club is closed too, and so are all of the ones around me. Idk what is going to happen, but the stripping industry will definitely continue. It might take a hit for a while, or veer away from private dances and more towards stage for a bit.

That’s interesting assessment

What if it’s like burlesque 2.0 or even peep shows only (behind glass enclosure)

I'm changing my prediction ( or at least my own health risk assesment ). In my state the numbers are climbing so I think things are going to " peak " in 10-14 days. I don't think it's a good idea to work even if the club is open in early April ( for me ) so I'm planning just to sit tight for two weeks and get more information. I want to be a part of dealing with this thing and not contributing to spreading as much as possible.

Omg I would LOVE love love to work a peep show again!! Best most fun job I ever had. Lusty Lady in Seattle, before it closed down. I don't know of any other peep shows, let alone hourly employee ones. That job was tha bomb. I would dance peep shows again in a heartbeat. If they make a comeback it will literally be a dream come true :) I have dreams all the time that the Lusty Lady is open again...
