Thank you.
Biohazard still has not moved out. If he isn't out by Sun I will be asking questions. He coughed all over the bathroom after I PineSol-ed it. I had to spray Pine Sol everywhere again before I went back in there. And the butter is still out.Goddamn he is gross.
On a more positive note, the house smells like burning sage. I love the smell of sage.I was hoping it was to due to Biohazard moving out and we were disinfecting/sage-ing his room, but after I heard coughing in the bathroom, I knew he was still here. Stoner boy next door coughs a lot too, but I could hear him in his room. I literally disinfect the bathroom every time I use it now.
Sage is used to clear negative energy. Maybe someone is feeling the burn of having their beloved overflowing trash can being confiscated so now they have to light up some sage in their mourning state lol. Who knows. At least right now they are burning sage and it is helping me to relax for a change. At least now I know I can burn sage too so the likelihood of someone bitching about it is greatly reduced.
I liked the energy of the house I visited. The dude, Chuck, Was very clear he would not tolerate bad behavior from anyone as he wants everyone there to feel safe. He was a clean freak like me. And he said the other folks were either introverted or sweet. I am introverted myself too so that is cool. It was in a more uoscake neighborhood too and Lord knows I want to start my 2021 off right. Even if I don't get it, I'm going to work hard and manifest the money in the meantime and I will tell the guy to lmk if something doesn't work our should he rent it out to someone else. It is month to month so it is possible.
I totally love that you removed the trash bin from the bathroom. I would've done the same thing. I'm planning on leaving my spot the day after xmas bc I just paid to stay until then & work is starting to pick up again yay. It's funny though, the lady's son that lives under a rock here, actually was worried that I'm gonna expose everyone to the virus bc I was going back & forth to hotels then back here. I have repeatedly said over & over to them that I stay in my room I don't even go into stores anymore, its curbside, drive thru or pickup or I do without. The landlady is the one to be concerned about since she goes & literally hangs out in the fucking grocery stores & wherever else she wants to go for a few hours at a time. Yet I'm the one everyone's concerned about LMAO this is the nut house if I've ever seen one & I look forward to getting the hell out & back into my own private hotel room with own bathroom asap. I really thought paying 330 a week was the worst thing ever LOL not anymore I don't. I'm beyond thankful this thread exists now bc I can always come back & re read things when I start feeling like being on my own completely is not worth it.
I hope you get that room Lovey <3 Good luck!

Thank you ladies.
I prayed for a miraculous $1800 to float my way so I can upgrade. Each place costs the same, it's just the deposit that is killing me.

There ya go! Im trying to get myself thinking in the direction of being in a better place.
I want to get some sage too.
Today I saw this newly built house, not quite finished, so cool, although I wouldn't want to live in the city or so close to other houses.

^yeah, I’d like to live in a less densely populated area, as well. But, I don’t want an absurdly long commute to work, either. And, if I weigh and measure everything, I suppose I don’t really have a complaint there… I have a house, sizeable enough for the number of people living here, and I’m not bound by a HOA.

Thank you. Part of me wants to be evil and pretend I have no idea what happened to the trash can if I'm asked. Maybe then they'll buy a new one. The goal here Is to have an empty trash.
GB, I don't blame you for wanting to get out of that loony bin. Sounds like there's a lot of projection going on there. Nobody wants to rip on the crazy lady running around at the grocery stores, so they throw the burden on you. So ridiculous. I don't blame you for wanting to have your own space again!
I'm sort of tempted to go on a roll and thrown away the butter if I still see it on the counter downstairs. That should be the new rule, if you leave something out and you don't put it away, and it stays out there for more than a day or two, it will be thrown away. I would throw away the pan of oil, but I think that belongs to my cool house mate and I don't want to upset him. Biohazard Brian ruins other people's pans by filling them up with oil and not cleaning them. It ruins the non stick on the pans and it pisses off my cool house made who is kind enough to let us use some of his stuff.
Sorry for the upside down photo. Not sure how to fix this.

I use to put baking soda to absorb the grease, the one guy asked me not to..
So last time I had an empty cup I dumped it into, sometimes I dump it outside too.
I just don't want the septic system overflowing, but I can only control so little.

Left dirty dishes in the sink too, disgusting
Oh, & the other dude left his pizza in the microwave, he 'stores' stuff in there

Yep that deposit crap is def what has held me back from getting into a norm spot as well. I don't like the idea of dumping every penny to my name into a place then have nothing if work is slow or whatever. I think ppl should either do away with deposits or just lower them. I don't think they should exceed $200 or 300.

So, I talked about this in "feeling pissy" but the fucking landlord had 5 guys (investors) thru the house today, they wanted to see my room, now he said they're coming back next week too? TF.
They bought the place (closing Jan 5)
On top of everything else, working more, my neck, Im going to have to start donating my stuff (trying to sell ) & put stuff in my storage, Idk what's going to happen w/the new owners

So I finally had it with the butter being left out. What biohazard doesn't understand is that we have had a mouse problem. When you leave butter out, it attracts the rodents and then before you know it we have a problem. I thought to myself that there is no reason why the mice should lose out on their butter, so I took it and threw it over the fence so they could enjoy it. If biohazard ask me anything, I'm going to tell him that the rats probably came and took it away LOL and that he should probably leave his butter in the fridge if he doesn't want them sneaking off with it. I know I'm terrible. But the dude's got to learn.

I remember seeing that when I was trying to purchase my house. They would advise on some listings there were tenants currently living in the place. Never know what their plans are when it's purchased.

Yes!
Trust me, they understand, they don't care!
As crazy as it sounds, they like & enjoy living in filth.
Remember I tried to talk to the one guy about bringing up the dumpsters? I said we'd get code violations, since neighbors don't like/reported us, or bugs.
Shoulder shrug
If someone does clean up, eh. It won't be them!
We have mice too, when I had my old car, they used to get in, & shred the paper napkins in yhe car for bedding..
Especially when it gets colder, they come in..
I remember being outside of the one brick building where I used to live, seeing a mouse flatten itself & get in the smallest crack!
Attracts roaches too, you know that.
Especially here, the landlord DGAF. Herein lies the base of the problem!
The maintenance guy does care, he has 20 years of dealing w/people like this, he says you can see patterns of behavior. Like people being too lazy/cheap to buy tp, then flushing paper towels etc & clogging the system.
I'm just keeping out of it/staying away from them as much as I can!
Also, Im going to start packing up stuff, to bring to my storage. It'll be easier to clean, & if I have to move.
HTH:)
Edit: Now, 2 sets of dirty dishes/pans & crap on stove, had to do the sideways pic to fit it all in

One of my roommates had her male "friend" over. He totally didn't bother shutting the bathroom door to pee at 2am. Apparently we both had to go to the bathroom at the same time. I'd bet if my other "snobby" roommate was home and this happened she'd be complaining to me once again. I'm so used to peeing and having conversations staring women straight in the eyes at strip clubs (and vice versa) and being naked on stage that this is not an issue. LOL.

They don't care if the house is a mess. And yes, they do shrug off the consequences of being a dirtbag. But they will care once they go to use their butter and they see it's not there and they have to go to the store and spend money on a whole new stick of butter. Bwahahaha ...

You're.so.fucking.lazy you can't even check the mail, lol?::)
I was about to ask the guy upstairs w/the gf, if he left messes like that when he lived next door..he did. His grandma didn't clean it, but her man did, she treats him like a slave, I guess that's how I'm thought of.>:(
Think maybe they should get ther own shit, Ill just take mine & leave the rest.

Idk, I think he did, but it didn't get changed by the PO? I always call & tell my new address.
He gets overdraft notices every day, I guess I'll have to call or write his bank.
I don't want him stopping by looking for mail, he's koo koo & likes me, tried to walk in my room, which's why I keep a box cutter handy
I was giving his mail to the landlord, I gave him change of address form..
Wow, be still my heart, someone's putting in a new garbage bag?
That doesn't necessarily mean he's taking out the garbage, cooking now too, on top of the old dirty crap from yesterday>:(:yuck::yikes:

I texted her last year about her mail and even told the mailman she was no longer living here. I went out of my way with all her mail. She never responded back to me. Lol I have no clue where she moved to and I assumed she would take care of it after I texted her. She never did and it's been a year. I also deleted her number after she never responded back to me. So she's in for a rude awakening.
Can't imagine being a grown adult (she's older than me) and being that irresponsible. First thing I ever did when I moved is set the change in address.

This guy that cooks w/his gf (that stays basically Wed - Sun:D) has little notes on most of the cabinet shelves "this is ___ don't touch::))

I think I'll use the room 6-7 days this month.
Today is only the 3rd night I've been here in Dec. but I expect to stay more in the holiday time frame because both AirBnB's are fully sold in that time ( Dec. 23 - Jan 1 ).
I suppose for example that even if I am only here 6 days then it's still worth the $500.
The dive motel near my AirBnB's is $50 a night so that would have been $300 for 6 nights. It's probably worth the extra just to have the nicer environment and not have to check in and out.
I still feel ........ uh ........ " meh " about spending this $ sometimes haha.
I feel it on the horizon that I'm not *thrilled* about my partner not just offering to end the need to rent this room.
I'd rather just put the cash in a jar for us to travel !
I'm trying my best to minimize the hassle of living between three homes ( I go between J's, this room I rent, and the larger AirBnB property anytime it's vacant ). I made little mini cosmetic boxes for each instead of one big box and got three tooth brushes / hair brushes.
I keep a few outfits minimum at each spot so there is at least some things at each one. All my styling tools and nicer products are at J's though.
carmen_b
12-21-2020, 07:49 PM
The larger AirBnB sells for $200 a night or $250 with taxes so I know it won't sell out or anything ( that's high even for where I am ) .
It sells more at a 35-40% ish capacity. It's taken me a few months of watching it to see an accurate estimate on it .
I kind of watch it obsessively and think " see I don't need to rent anywhere in Jan. " but then I know I'd regret feeling stuck again if I were to give the room up.

^ How is your ability to self sustain just in your own room ?
For example I have water bottles , dried fruit , breakfast bars ect. in my room so even if room mates are in the main areas and I don't want to interact I am good in just my room.
I think you mentioned before you do some similar tricks.
It might be worth it if possible to even get a micro , mug / spoon, and soups or something for your own room for minimal interaction.

Yes, I already do that...I have a mini fridge, not the super small one.
I was going to get a slightly larger fridge, w/separate freezer section, but I'm trying to get rid of stuff/not spend $ to gtfo.
I use kitchen's microwave, freezer, & toaster, sometimes oven/stovetop (that's filthy too, cleaned it numerous times). I eat mostly sandwiches, salads, microwave dinners& takeout.
I have to open windows to get rid of nasty greasy cooking smells, listen to cabinets/microwave doors banging late night constantly, filth from top to bottom, garbage stinking, loud bs talking, the list goes on..
If I wash clothes, I have to go in their nasty gas station like bathroom

I suppose my annoyance really is how my friend from the community has stars in her eyes regarding my old roommate. Don’t get me wrong - I think very highly of him. But her perspective of him and mine from having lived with him are quite different, but I really don’t want to ruin it for her either. He did a nice thing for her at a time when she really needed people in her corner. But to say, “He would’ve made a good Mennonite”… he’s a pretty devout anti theist.
