Are lights on all the time an issue in the living room, kitchen, bathroom for most people? I keep them on so nobody trips and sues me lol.

They so don't need all those lights on! FFS.
The sick guy bought a good strong night light for the kitchen. It has a sliding switch to make it stronger.

So..

Saturday, I cammed, this a/hole upstairs (w/gf), left a giant ass blender, a huge cookie sheet, a grill thing w/pieces of meat stuck on it , & a dirty silicone mat, + a sticky drinking glass w/blueberry crap in it. For. 3.fucking.days!

This, after I nicely asked him to keep kitchen clean AND after previously washing his fucking dishes (some were sick dude's who I wanted to help).

Well, I cut my thumb & finger on the POS blender,(washing it) I wrote him a note (not angry or anything) he told me I broke his water glass, (I did, didn't realize it)

Writes me a shitty note, "don't touch or wash my dishes, or you pay for them." . Ooh, so scared! ::)

So, being the better person, I said back on a sticky," sorry, it was an accident, how much, I'll give it to you ":O
Then, everything was gone.
I took pics of it all. So there.

Oh, him &, girl stuffed the kitchen trash can, NOT TAKING IT OUT!

Completely done here! Staying in my room, waiting on my test results.
Camming, start new work @home next week.

The one guy was nice, he did take the dumpsters, I'd left a note, he was sleeping, he said to knock next time, no problem & he'll take 'em up.
Too late for today's p/u, I already texted maintenance guy about that, so Idk.

Saw Biohazard at the grocery store today. Of course he was walking around with his mask hanging off completely exposing his nose. Ugh I cannot wait to be out. Dropped my application off at the new place, and I really hope I get it. This place is such a dirty shithole.

You should point it to him that the sink is a communal one, and his dishes being moved out of it are the consequences of making it so everyone else can’t use the sink. If he lived by himself, that would be one thing, but I never understood why so many of these fucking man babies do the smallest adult-like thing and expect accolades for it in spite of everything else they fail to do. The one male roommate I’ve had was far from perfect, but at least he didn’t expect a trophy for being able to wipe his own ass.

^^ Sucks that even though you could set a boundary ( no leaving dirty dishes in the sink) they don't listen or care. They just can't see past their own nose. Not everyone likes a mess!

Great points, unfortunately, yes, he is a spoiled baby who can't see past his own ass, his Granny couldn't wait to foist him over here (he lived w/her previously ).

I stay out of that kitchen, last night I did laundry at 3am to avoid everyone!

Now the garbage didn't get picked up, maintenance guy won't come & get it this time , cause of Mr Covid here. I'll have to email the landlord about it, if he'll even do anything. ::)

Mr sicko just tested again Sunday. I also tested today.

OK so I do have a complaint about this hotel I'm at until Thurs.
This new jerk off moved in a few doors down from me and he loves to blast his crappy music early while I'm still sleeping ugh
Wouldn't be so annoyed if it were music I actually liked.
Ya come Thurs I'm out of here & happy to be for awhile. Gonna leave the state for a bit & stay elsewhere a bit cheaper (with a kitchen hopefully) and avoid these hoods they allow to stay here.
I like it here for the most part but he is ruining it by being loud & annoying in every possible way.

I use a white noise machine, it doesn't drown out everything, but it helps, especially when camming.

Do you put your white noise machine inside your room or right outside your door? If in the room, can the sound be heard when you're live?

I keep inside the room w/me, always!
Honestly, I've never had any customers saying they heard anything of it.. It's background noise, & of course volume can be adjusted, different sounds. I use mostly the ocean waves, crickets, & bird sounds.

I also run a small fan by the door, it's not loud, but makes some noise.

It's a small Vornado brand fan, they're the best, it was $20.00, worth it. The cheap one break.

Shit, I'd call the front desk to complain about that shit!
Once, the jerk working the front desk refused to do anything, I called the cops!

I decided to leave, I saw them pull up out front, & when I came back, their ass was gone!
The next day, I complained to the Mgr. about the guy working. Fuck all that.

Thank you!!

My grandma is staying in the spare room across the hall from me while she recovers. I don't need her asking me who I'm talking to when I'm live. She is nosy as hell! I want to cam and not have my family in my business - she and an aunt already made assumptions years ago that I was a PSO when I lived out of state. It annoys me when my family is gossiping about me. Like, mind your business!

Oh, AND granny talks to herself aloud. It's not just a comment here and there. She has full-blown convos :( I don't want to hear THAT shit even when I'm not working. She's going to have my anxiety acting up.

I'm in a tough spot because I need to be able to hear if she calls out for me. She ran me ragged yesterday, yelling my name out every 15 or so minutes for the most basic things + having to medicate and change poop bags. I'm stressed tf out!

I have a sound machine and have covered the back of my door with acoustic foam tiles. I've added a few to the other (visible) side as well. I also have one of those little Vornado fans. It comes in handy in the spring + summer when my bedroom turns into an oven after 1 pm. Lol.

It may be a good idea to ask if you can change floors. I've requested to move rooms when I needed a clean room right away and housekeeping wasn't available or there was a spider in the room I lost track of (I absolutely cannot sleep in a room with a spider on the loose LOL!) I'm embarrassingly usually the noisy one blasting music because I'm working and I've gotten around 15 noise complaint requests trying to drown out sex noise and get in the mood. (I worry if there is a family next door hearing sex noise they will report it to the front desk).. They once sent security to my room saying they would call the police if it happened again in DC. I moved to a new hotel.

Candlewood Suites are affordable if you manage to get one with hotwire hotrates or priceline's hidden room. Laundry, a kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, glassware/utensils, stove, free wifi etc.

Felt like when I would cheap out and get one of the 2 star hotels, I went through a streak of constant yelling & arguing between people in their rooms. Some people were screaming at 2am. LOL

Yes, I've been a caregiver! Sooo stressful!
I had the added bs of someone reporting me, (troublemaker). Did nothing wrong, but all kinds of agencies pestering me.. I dealt with it tho.

In camming connection section, there's a thread, Camming w/roomies, it has helpful hints, check it out.

Can you also get a baby monitor, or something for Grams?

Thank you!!! Yes, it's crazy stressful...more so than I'd imagined. She's super needy. Since I posted in this thread this morning, she has summoned me 9x. NINE TIMES!! I just have to remember to be patient and that, hopefully, one day I'll be elderly. I can only hope to be more gracious than her.

I'll search for the thread, thank you for the recommendation. I want to hug you!!

I was considering a whistle, lol. I can imagine her now, hollering my government name when I'm live  One thing about camming, some guys feel entitled to know your real info. If you tell them your name is Lizzie, you'll no longer be Hunny Bunny to them, they have a tendency to "slip up" and call you that live in the chat.

Back to the complaining, lol, I've made breakfast and lunch today for my "roomie". She has been out of the rehab facility for 2 weeks now and complains about the "lack of seasoning" in the meals I've prepared. Something is wrong with her tastebuds. If she keeps it up, I'm going to just buy a bunch of frozen meals for her to eat. That'll teach her about lack of seasoning. I'm tired of making all of her meals from scratch + she seems to have an issue with leftovers.

They wont allow anyone to switch rooms until youve checked out after a week. Its stupid but it is what it is until i leave on thurs. I will def look into those places you mentioned ;) theres usually not any problems at hotels i stay until this dickwad & his fam moved in a few days ago. I try to keep my camming & pso voice low just in case they say im being obscene or whatever.

So..

I emailed landlord, about the garbage not being picked up..I mentioned the MLKing Monday holiday, which we all know doesn't apply here..::)

He just said, "they'll get the next day"? Uh, nope.

I called the waste mgt co, they want $25.00 charge to come back out, so no, he definitely wontpay, even if it was 05 cents

Also, the guy upstairs (w/gf) went back to work, he was talking to Mr sick, no one can fucking tell me?

Dumpsters currently up by the curb, full by next Monday they will be major trash overflow..

And this m/F wonders why he gets sick every year, I know this disease is different, but come on!

Today, the CNA came to give my recovering housemate a bath/wash up. It was sprung on me at the last minute and I got no advanced notice. I don't like looking crazy in public or when I have visitors.

I was upset because my grandmother spoke to the CNA on the phone and told her that she was "so cold and freezing in here"!!!!! The woman then asked if we had heat. My grandmother is going to fuck around and have social services come here! Luckily, the CNA came within 5 minutes of their call and saw that it was actually hot af in Granny's bedroom. Not only do I have a personal heater in there for her, but she was also covered with an electric blanket that I'd turned on 2-3 hours prior.

When going in and out of the room while our guest was here, I overheard grams tell her that she's SO HUNGRY, like she doesn't eat!! I make her meal when she gets up. Then, she has snacks throughout the day and dinner. If my mom is here, she'll make her another snack before bed. All my grandmother does is bitch and it's taking a toll.

Also, I'm tired of washing dishes.

My raggedy relatives (Granny's kids) already don't like that she's living here with me instead of them. Imagine how they'd drag me through the mud if social services removed her from my residence.

Reminds me of the "do not use the heater" text when I didn't have a central air/heater due to carbon monoxide level in the house last month. Some people have no problem killing everybody off in the process of their stupidity. Or a pool of soap and water on the floor from the washer. Thank god I have a central ac/heater now.

Some people don't care and just wanna see what happens LOL.

I’m going to have a roommate for the first time in about 6 years... what are some of your best tips for maintaining a healthy happy environment with a roomie?

Make sure they know what the house rules are, and the consequences of not following house rules. Set the boundaries from the get go, especially in writing. At the house where I'm renting, for example, nobody is allowed in anyone else's room without permission.

If your place is clean and non-smoking, make sure they know.

Some of my housemates started things off right by offering me the use of their vacuum cleaner, their toaster, Etc. The same dude even fixed the front bumper of my car that was falling off and he did it for free. I tried to reciprocate by sharing my Texas toast with him. I was making Texas toast with his toaster, and he made a comment about how he loves Texas toast so I made him a few slices in return. Make sure you reciprocate favors they do for you.

Another house mate gave me free weed, so I reciprocated by buying him a bottle of his favorite vodka and gave it to him on his birthday recently. Our house is 420 friendly and it's legal here.

Also, if they tend to keep to themselves, don't take it personally. They may be just be very introverted and shy, maybe they've been bullied and have social anxiety so they would rather take things slow with you when it comes to building a friendship. Certainly respect their privacy and just let them know that you're there if they need anything and that they can text you if they need help. Give them space.

I think that's all I have for now.

Sooo..

Lately there's been a rash of the couple upstairs, asking me to reset the breakers for their room, (cause the dip below them runs too much elec:-\)
So, ok fine::) (Not really..)

Last night this problem causing PRICK, (that lives below couple), knocked on my door, 5:30am btw, I was up camming, not busy atm, but still, the fucking entitlement : "Oh, the box's in your room"?>:(

Also, the girl knocked on my back entrance door, cause the front door is locked, I let her in, but again, NMP -
not my prob.

Sunday, it snowed a foot, luckily, the snowplow showed up early..

They ask me to knock upstairs, which I did, no answer. They have 2 cars. They ask again, I knocked again, no answer!

Finally, he asked which door was theirs, & the guy comes down in sorts, slippers, starts arguing that they can't get his car out?

So the snowplower had shoveled me out,(he told the dope that) so I could move my car, I guess SHE had to work w/them, then she shoveled the little front porch.

She later had an extremely pissed off look.

So, I re-posted my note of Not to disturb between 10pm - 8am, AND I'll call the Sheriff. ( The prick is an offender btw/)

I sent a text to the maintenance guy, put up another note saying I'm not responsible for the electric, call LL or maintenance.

Exactly. I'm going to make sure that I take a video and photos of my room before I leave. There has been no damage done to the room. The only thing I'd be willing to pay for his carpet cleaning. I think they have 21 days to refund me with receipts of deductions, but in my lease they have 30 days. So if I don't receive my deposit back by March 15th, we're going to have a problem.

S and her girlfriend are getting everything boxed up, since they’ll be moving into their own place this weekend. Kinda sad to see the end of an era pass, but S is a very independently minded person. And it’s not like I won’t be seeing these two, especially with S also working at the tow company. Now I have to figure out what I want to do with this room, since the girl in group care wants the one by the garage. The dynamic here really isn’t the same as a regular roommate situation, and I really don’t want to rent it or otherwise bring someone in who I feel won’t flow with that dynamic.

I have a dog that will happily carry and eat thongs and tampons or whatever he likes leaving partial pieces on my lawn so everything needs to be properly disposed. It's about 8 steps to the trash can from where she put it.. Girlllll I am the only one taking the trash out in the kitchen/bathrooms/ as well as to the curb on Wednesdays. The least you can do is take those 8 long steps to the trash and take it out. I'm leaving it there until she does it herself. I am not her mom. Don't mean to be a douchebag but I already have enough to do in this house.

I just came to my backyard to take trash out and there is all this confetti covering it. I don't have a rake to get it all up. *eyeroll*..........It feels like a daily celebration in this fucking neighborhood. Right before I left some neighbors set off like 5 fireworks over some sports game or something. It's getting so old. I actually enjoy working holidays to avoid WW3 fireworks nonstop by my neighbors starting a week in advance or whenever they decide to bring out the booze. Obviously I don't live in Hidden Hills, CA...this crap would not fly there.

So I told the landlord that I need my rent receipts from November till now. I told him this last Tuesday. Then I had to remind him again on Thursday. He was all "oh I don't have a receipt book. " Well then get one! It's your f****** job! I told him I needed them by tomorrow morning and I'm not going to be surprised if he still doesn't have them. I'm about to go to the 99 cent store down the street and get him a damn receipt book. It's ridiculous how when he wants information from me, I get back to him within a 48-hour. But when it comes to him doing something for me, he just blows it off because it's more important for him to party all night and do Coke or whatever the hell else he does in his room all night with the music blasting. I'm going to text him tomorrow morning and let him know that I need my receipts right away because if he doesn't give them to me, he's screwing me over. I mean, this is really sketch. I need these receipts before I move out because I need proof of my payments so that he doesn't try to screw me out of giving my security deposit back. I nearly paid $400 for security deposit, my room is in no way damaged, so I should receive all of it back. That is a car payment right there. I can't wait to get out of here, there's only maybe two people here whom I like. One of them is a total sweetheart and gives me weed, the other one is in the Navy and he's a very kind and helpful person, the only one who will help me clean. I gave up on cleaning this place because nobody else does s***. I miss the other house manager. He moved out last October and I never had to ask him for receipts because he always had them ready as soon as I paid the rent. I trusted him. This other guy doesn't seem to know which end is up.

I literally just had to go out and buy a receipt book and write out my own receipts that I will have him sign and date later today. I'm going to stand there and wait for him to sign them. This guy doesn't seem to know which end is up. When I move out, I'm going to tell him point-blank that I expect my security deposit back within 30 days or I will take him to small claims court. I ain't playing. I also have to make sure I take photos and videos of my room so I have proof that there was no damage Beyond normal wear and tear. Honestly. Why do people have to make things so difficult? It's so ridiculous. He doesn't know what he's doing and it's so obvious. I talked to this nice old man down the street who has lived here since the 70s and he says that he's always had problems with the people in my house because they were always a bunch of drunk druggies living here. I'm going to get the name of the house owner from the neighbor in case I have any more problems. Somebody else owns the house, but the landlord / manager lives with us.

That landlord is super crappy. I put my rental receipt for those renting within 15 minutes on my kitchen table if I'm home or the next morning if I'm at a hotel. One needs it for divorce court. The other just venmo's me. Yeah security deposit is such a bitch. Back when I was renting I just expected not to get anything back. They always had something to reduce like paint or carpet replacement when all of it was fine and just like how it was when I arrived.

^^I took photos before move in and taking photos after I move out. Nothing was damaged. I didnt even hang anything on the walls. Dude this place is such a dump and it would be ridiculous if they charged me for anything.

Still no word from the LL.
I have all my receipts written out for him to sign and date.
So ridiculous that I have to spoonfeed him to get anything done.

If he blows off returning my deposit I am going to take him to small claims court. I will also let the court know that this place had no heat, a rodent problem, plus the lease states that all housemates are responsible for keeping the place clean. The only people who cleaned were myself and the Navy guy who lives here. I'll be sure to take photos and show how dirty it is because nobody else will hold up their end of the deal.

Edit: it's illegal for a landlord to withhold receipts in CA when the tenants request them.

I don't even request security deposit at my place lol. One renter was shocked. Most people do. I know how stupid it feels to have it if they aren't a hot mess ruining the room. I was also being charged pet rent in the past. PET RENT monthly on top of an extra security deposit for the pets as well?! lol.

My landscaper is cleaning up the stupid confetti on my lawn on Tuesday. I felt bad contacting him about it but I don't want to spend the money getting a rake on someone else's BS party.

The place I am moving to didn't ask for a deposit, thank God, but even if they did I would trust them a lot more than I trust this guy. His LL duties don't seem a priority at all.

Maybe I should text him this lol...
