I really want to try edibles, but I'm too scared to walk into a weed shop, so today, i didn't buy edibles.

Don’t know if this has anything to do with why your scared, but where I live you can preorder online. Very least look at the menu so you don’t get overwhelmed with choices. That’s how I feel if I walk in unprepared to a pot shop. If it’s just the scene where you are, that makes sense too.

I heard those are really intense compared to other forms of the marijuanas. I tried it a couple times, but all it did for me was make my mouth really dry and I coughed a lot. Now, I’ll probably have to wait until retirement before partaking in Lucifer’s Lettuce, because both of my jobs require me to have a CDL, which is federally regulated, so even if North Carolina voted to decriminalize it, or I went to a state which already has, CFR49 says, “none of that devil’s leaf for you”.

Yeah, i would just never smoke anything - never have, probably never will, so my options are limited! I'm sure I'll try an edible sometime. :)

I bought a 98 Ford Explorer for $500. Because it had almost $3k of two-way radio equipment in it. I’ve already taken the brush guard and hitch off of it, and already have prospective buyers for those lined up, so I’ll make most of it back just from that. But there’s the question of what to do with the car. I was thinking that the tow company needs a vehicle for rollover training, so I could donate it. At the same time, it still runs and drives and maybe it could benefit someone in need. But it’s also a bit of a gas guzzler, too. So I could sell it to Copart, LKQ, or any other wholesaler or dismantled, and get a not too shabby amount for it, since it’s a running vehicle with a clean title. Basically, I bought the car for everything but the car.

Donate it.

Hanging onto it for the moment. The girl from group care is going to need a car. My sister and I were talking about this, and she figured she’d use the Explorer and let her use the Cobalt.

It shouldn’t as long as you mount it accurately. I guess silicone is usually flexible and soft and not scratchy against the floor.

Yeah, if it's hitting the floor, as it should to be effective, it'll make a swishing / sweeping noise, I'd bet.

I didn't buy more fragrance samples from luckyscent. I'm still on the hunt for something that i like, and the descriptions are so tempting! I have stuff in my cart, but I'm staying strong. As fun as it is to smell new scents, it's also super disappointing when they all turn out to be duds. I'm super picky, and samples get expensive quickly.

Also didn't buy this gyokuro green tea that looks delicious. I'm a huge Japanese green tea person, but I'm staying strong and drinking the nice sencha that i already have. Side note...green tea is so gross when it's brewed incorrectly, and usually people use water that's way too hot.

Today I didn't buy a new makeup subscription box (https://chicbeautybox.com/) despite being very tempted to do so.
I'm definitely more of a makeup person vs skincare and just have so many skin care products rn, some of which I can't or haven't used. It's just so hard to find products that work for my needs & don't break me out, so usually once I find something I like, I stick with it for a long time. Think I'll gift them to a friend who's just getting into skin care & would probably appreciate them more than me.

Was on Goop buying this mosquito repellent because it is the only site that sells it that I have an account already. Then I decide to wander over to the jewelry department. Found out that I and the buyers for Goop have very similar taste. I am not sure how I feel about that but it’s totally a site I will share if I need a nice gift. I do want a new bracelet. Quite a few pieces saved. This was the closest I got to an impulse buy https://goop.com/lizzie-mandler-mini-bar-bracelet-with-baguette-diamond/p/

Buying perfume samples off ebay has contributed to my Do Not Buys, I usually do blind perfume buys but now that I'm hunting for a new top favorite I can't buy 46 bottles. I wanted to try some Mugler perfumes because he's my favorite fashion designer(not that I own anything of his...), I thought I would love the Alien Essence Absolue so I bought a sample and while it is very nice it reminds me a lot of my favorite KKW perfume but I like the KKW one more. I'm kind of glad I didn't end up loving it though because they don't make it anymore and the cheapest I see bottles going for on ebay is $200(although I use my perfumes sparingly so tbh I would probably just buy a few samples which would last me for years). I have his Alien oud one coming and the Alien musk one, I'm really curious to see how the original Alien smells especially because people seem to either love it or hate it but unless I'm blown away by the next 2 flankers I won't bother. I bought a sample of the Aura EDT and it's pretty but not me, I have a sample of the Aura EDP coming but I have a feeling it won't be very me either(I like the bottles though so I was hoping I'd fall in love). There's the Aura Sensuelle too but it's supposed to be the most feminine of the 3 which means I'm sure to not like it, but maybe if the EDP is amazing I'll give it a shot.

So so far, did not buy these: https://www.muglerusa.com/fragrance/womens-fragrances/aura-mugler/aura-mugler/M020604067.html?dwvar_M020604067_size=1.0oz.

Welp not buying this: https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Mugler/Aura-Mugler-45639.html The sample arrived today and I'm not a fan at all and thus will not be trying/buying the third of the Aura fragrances. It says it's a green woody amber fragrance and I don't get woody or amber at all. I just get green, strong floral.

The merchant gave me a free sample of this though: https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Isabella-Rossellini/Manifesto-1491.html and I really like it. I can't wait to try it on my skin once this Mugler is washed off.

I love reading fragrance reviews!! That said, I frequently couldn't disagree more with many reviewers when it comes to fragrance, which makes it even harder to find something I'd like. For example, i got this sample recently from Luckyscent, which is like... universally raved about: https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Lubin/Akkad-16493.html

But to me, it smelled like straight up root beer / sasparilla, nothing else. It was absolutely repulsive to me - a "scrubber" as they say. Sigh. Idk what's wrong with me!

I want this for my birthday. I'm creeping back into my love of candles LOL. Some of them have glitter, flowers, or crystals. in the candle which look really pretty but I'd be concerned if it is safe or not to light them.

Not buying this: https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Mugler/Alien-Oud-Majestueux-31602.html

My sample came; at first I really liked it because it smelled fresh and musky at the same time, but once it settled on my skin for a while it ended up smelling a lot like my KKW oud fragrance. Idk what's up with the KKW perfumes smelling like Mugler ones.

Want to buy a gift for someone, but they’re really not materialistic and the only thing they’ve really shown an interest in is a set of earrings. But, this is someone with a similar complex as what I have about receiving gifts. So I don’t know whether to buy them and tell her, “I got them because I want you to have them” or come up with something else. For the last year in particular, they’ve just really been there for me and maybe I’m not very good in being vocal about my appreciation and I just want to do this. Last year marked the ten year anniversary of the day the hallucination began, and it was always a really difficult day for me, and I would isolate myself and just wallow. They dropped what they were doing to be there and stay with me and really made it a lot more bearable, and I’m still taking the day off this year but we made plans to go out, do things, enjoy the day rather than dwell, and I feel like I’m getting better about it all.

Anyhow, I’m rambling. I don’t know. Maybe I’ll just buy them and that’ll be that.

I just dropped almost $2,400 on tools today. Saved a little over $300 by paying cash instead of making truck account payments or going through Snap-On credit. A 3/4” digital torque wrench and a thermal imager. Tell me it isn’t an additional tax placed on us in this line of work.

I resisted b&bw today too. Despite the Halloween displays tempting me. I think i'm going to unsubscribe from their emails. They have a very "buy now, now now" sales model and a lot of their seasonal scents are just mainstream scents repackaged for the season. I think I will only pay them any mind during sales & stock up & will leave them alone the rest of the time.

Instead of buying new soaps from b&bw I'm going to get reusable soap dispensers for my kitchen & bathroom & buy refills in bulk so I save money, I feel like I go thru hand soap SO fast so this will hopefully help

B&BW knows the game they play. I don’t think I’ve ever gone in there and not bought something.

Have a friend who used to work in a Lush store. I stepped into it one time, and one time only. I don’t understand how people work there. It’s a complete assault on your senses the moment you walk through the door. I’d go through the gas chamber in Army BCT and be subjected to tear gas before I’d ever go into another Lush store. Safe to say I’ll never buy anything from there.

I am trying to be a *bit* of a minimalist still. I'm trying to keep my dress count ( the nice ones I wear out ) at 21.
I have 4-5 " around the house " ones I'm not counting.
Haha. I was trying to pare down to 20 but J said 21 was a nicer number.

SO .... I didn't buy another dress.
I am considering changing the # to 22-25 though. :)

I did buy three new sexy lingerie type outfits on Shein yesterday.
I'm looking forward to them.
