^^^I’m done with it too. I decided in March I’m done with masking and all the other restrictions. There’s vaccines and other treatments for the vulnerable now.

We the people deserve to have our lives back after what the rich and powerful have done to us. They possibly created this virus, destroyed our livelihood while bailing out big corporations with federal aid, (remember 2008 bailouts), and had us at each other’s throats over mandates.

It’s time to kiss and make up with each other and move on with our lives so we can put the worst behind us.

The Biden Administration just announced it is continuing for at least another month the mask requirement for airports and airplanes.

Why ? Because they can ?

IMO, the pandemic is over when you decide it is. Covid itself will probably always exist to a greater or lesser extent, so your life is going to be on hold for the foreseeable future if you decide to act like we're in lockdown. I'll always wear a mask when flying or in any other place that gives me the ick. It's not a big deal to me, and I think it helps. I travel a lot and I would often return home with a few days of sniffles or a sore throat. I've flown a number of times since Covid and that hasn't happened. I'll still get tested before seeing my 80-yr-old grandparents, because vaxxed or not, this virus is still dangerous to the elderly.

At this point, all you can do is eat healthy, exercise, keep up with boosters or whatever else is recommended, and enjoy life while you've got it. You never know when you're going to get hit by the metaphorical or literal bus. You can do everything right and still get unlucky.

Trust - I hear what you are saying and you may be right. If you feel better wearing a mask then by all means do so. But I would prefer that decisions like continuing the Federal mask mandate be based on science and the numbers.

The science says that modern airplanes are very safe as far as catching Covid i.e. the ventilation and filtration systems mak catching the virus highly unlikely. If you can go to the supermarket or indoor shopping mall without a mask , why not an airport ?

With respect to the planes, I personally will wear masks on airplane - I'm not breathing recycled pathogen air

I have left my mask accidentally then instead of walking all the way back to get it I just trusted the vaccine worked and my immune system was good..... and oddly, it felt weird and thankfully I remain covid free (but I'm more of a homebody and I have a touch of OCD lol)

My threshold for "I aint risking it today" is crowded places & visibly sick people

Me personally I am not getting the boosters unless my immune system declined or something

Eww plane air. *puke*. They shoulda required masks many years ago. They used to not even wipe down the trays and arm rests after people were in them before covid.
