Yesterday I gave my kart to an older woman at the grocery store after she looked at my kart as I was exiting. I asked her if she wanted it and she said "yes, thanks."

It's a little thing but I left a quarter on the ledge at Aldi in case someone didn't have one for a cart. lol

This just, sigh, is so huge. I mean...if I didn't have a quarter and had to jump through a hoop thinking I'd have to break a bill then come back out to get that cart yet stumbled upon one right there saving me time: I'd think God was smiling down on me. Could totally make someone's day with such a small gesture.

Got a reward from Chick Fil A for a crispy chicken sandwich that I can redeem. They must know how much I love their crispy, delicious and homophobic chicken sandwich!

That's so kind of them!

May I ask where you donated to Ukraine? I know there are a lot of scams out there so I want to make sure it's the right website.

Washing comforter & sheets at laundromat. The machine gave me $5 in quarters & 5 $1 coins. I asked randomly if anyone could help me exchange for quarters. This older woman jumped & said I collect them!

She gave me $2 in quarters & I gave her the last 3.

She smiled sooooo bright!

I'm without a vehicle for a bit so I'm using Uber, Uber Eats, & Shipt. I've been tipping 30% as gas prices are outrageous. I hope it helps.

I always tip delivery people extra too. It can't be an easy job, especially when the weather gets bad. Plus gas, like you said and wear and tear on their cars.

bahah, this made me recall that when I was in my 20s and worked at shop, a couple of random men gave me bananas. One visited the shop, and another one just suddenly gave me a pack of bananas when I passed by on the street. I was 24/7 hungry student back then so I accepted but now I just realized...
;D
ps. you ladies are angels! I mean, damn, when I see such actions towards myself I usually experience the mixed feeling of surprise, suspicion and gratitude.
I feel like I need to be better. Not to expect something like that in return but for the peace of my own heart.

Ahh the innocence of youth. Next time, tell them you're a size queen and you prefer plantains:hungry:.

I'm always surprised when a stranger approaches me too. The experience I will never forget is when a classy older lady poured her heart out to me at the grocery store. I gave her a big hug.

I'm happy that we inspire you but I think you are a kind person already:).

I gave £50 to IFAW last week as they are an animal charity and are working in Ukraine, their site just broke my heart. Also lots of the supermarkets in the UK (probably all I guess) are collecting at the tills so you can add something to your shopping cost and I've done that too. It feels like such a drop in the ocean and not nearly enough but I have to do something.

Unrelated, I do sometimes leave my trolley with a £1 coin in it for the next person, I've been the one without a coin before! :)

Someone mentioned before about 'professional' beggars, how would you tell if that was the case? There is a guy near my supermarket who I always get some food for but I would have no idea if he was genuine, I never really thought about it before.

That's always been in the back of my head when I see homeless people with signs asking for money and such. I give when and what I can but I feel it's none of my business if it's genuine or not or how they'll spend with what I gave. I don't want to be the judge and jury. I have no control over what they'll do with what I give but that doesn't decide how I want to show up in the world.

^I ve seen "professional beggars"in my place. Some of them can even have a car parked nearby and when they are frozen too much, they go there to get warm. They also have their established place on street, and they always give that "performer vibe". Some of them "work" in a subway. It usually freaks tourists out and they give them money. It's not bad to me, just funny. Everyone finds their own ways to buy a food.

in mexico we have sooo many professional beggars they make $100s of dollars a day. omg
some evil children were begging near tourists and someone was kind enough to buy them a sandwich at starbuck because they went in and begged there for something to eat
they came out laughing and were saying in spanish "how stupid those white people are "

they start them young over here.
they have them begging at 3 , 5 , 7 years old.

this week i will buy my house cleaner some extra food and supplies because she lost her other job. i think that will be helpful for her. she deserves it more than beggars.

That's wonderful, sis!

I compliment girls when I'm out and about all the time. It was very hard for me to do that when I had low self-esteem and confidence so I overcompensated for that by showing lots of skin. Very sad, real sad.

I used to wear rompers so short, then I wondered why men always stared at me. I would not talk to anyone either. I never thought of it as overcompensating. That's interesting.

Did you like the attention men were giving you?! Overcompensating would be you didn't feel like who you are were enough so you see the attention men were giving you as an invitation to show more skin, wear shorter rompers and try harder to keep the attention coming.

Those are signs of low-esteem and self-worth. Not calling you out, sis! Just saying you did it because you didn't know any better, now that you know better you know you don't have to overcompensate because who you are, just as you are is ENOUGH. I bet you feel much better about who you are now too :)

Do you see now we get so much attention from men for not even trying or taking our clothes off? Because we exude confidence, we feel better ourselves by knowing that we are enough.

I had mixed feelings. I loved the attention and also hated it. I was programmed to find a man and get married. Little did I know that I didn't have to try so hard, or get married. lol

I still struggle with low self esteem but not nearly as much. Knowing that I'm good enough as I am, no matter what I'm wearing feels like freedom.

I didn't have any cash on hand besides laundry money; a man was hard on his luck and hungry. All I had was two Cadbury Caramello bars...so I offered him one. He smiled and said "it's ok I know you prolly want this." I said "hey I've got two." He took it and smiled.

Then later after washing my comforter I used a couple bucks to buy a Gatorade. I left the change at the self checkout for the next person who might need it.

My act of kindness today is making myself good food. A fellow camgirl is griefing so I didn't feel comfortable posting this in my 'what's on your mind' thread.
I don't hate the prepping and cooking but the waiting for this shit to cool down so I can devour is so hard.

I can't see it mentioned here but I just downloaded the free app Olio, it's mostly for food waste so if you have something you won't use then someone near to you can come and get it. It's not just for food, there is a bit for other things you want to give away or you want yourself. I just joined (it's all free and fast and worldwide too) and messaged a lady who wanted a dog bed, she is coming Monday to pick up my hardly used cat bed, guess the dog is small! :D

I wish I'd known about it yesterday before I took a load of decent but unwanted stuff to the recycling centre :(

Thought this would be a good place to post it! I know lots use facebook etc for this kind of thing but not everyone uses social media.

What a neat idea! There is way too much waste of stuff that someone else would love to have.

I also had a cat bed my cat didn't like. I gave it away to another cat who also hated it. I guess cats hate beds, unless it's ours. lol

Haha yes mine hated it, I'm hoping her dog likes it! It is a great idea, around here people seem to be buying up the reduced food in the supermarket and posting it on there and it goes straight away so it's not just for things you would throw out yourself.

lol my husband goes next level, almost enabler level!! some homeless guy in paris wanted a beer , he went in a bought them a beer.

a child of around 12 in france (in france they smoke a ton in highschool and all ages) asked him for smokes. and he actually gave the child one. i mean really! my god!
he says... well we are in france.. they smoke here no matter what. he is determined so.. he thought he was being NICE! LOL!!! we dont even smoke btw. we just carry smokes as currency in france in case some creep asks us and trys to rob us.
he says "if i dont do it someone else will"
he goes wayyy tooo far . like wayyy to far!
I corrected him. he wont be doing that again!

and when i am on a diet he never thinks like never! he will come out of starbucks with a slice of chocolate cake for me. being all thoughtful lol
he just thinks my diet isnt serious or something LOL!!!!

thank god he isnt in any sort of enabler relationships with family or friends.
i think he would be a good target.

This was a kindness toward me.

I got a pedicure last week. It was a man I had never seen at that salon. He didn't speak English at all. I have pretty bad arthritis. He must have heard my knees crackle when I sat down. He didn't try to make me hold my legs up and he was very gentle.

When I got up to leave, he reached out to help me get up. I almost started crying at his kindness.

My little sis used to do this kind of thing until someone pulled her up on it. Last time she was visiting England (she's in Canada usually) one of my brothers told her off so she bought a load of cheap pairs of gloves and chocolate bars and handed them out at random instead of smokes and cash.
