Huge win in Kansas. Large numbers came out to protect abortion rights in a very conservative state.
let’s hope this is a trend. I don’t like corporate democrats, but I love my abortion rights so im voting blue this November. I’m tired of these politicians playing games with our lives.

I was so surprised by Kansas but so glad. Let this be a lesson that when women are pissed, they take action.
Their votes made it clear do not fuck with the rights of women and that the power of the people is stronger than those in power.

So true! I'm hoping that more States will come to this as well. It's actually pretty cool that several of the southern states have actually blocked the bans in the last couple of weeks that I've read about.

I’m originally from Kansas! I might move back if they keep standing up for womens rights. Yay. I graduated from Free State High School. Way to stay on the right side of history! I’m so proud to be from a free state for black people and women.

Your cost of living would probably be cheaper too.
Women are tired of always having fewer rights than men so it made my heart swell that they’re showing up and advocating for themselves.
There are states that will not prosecute women seeking abortions and all should follow and let this shit blow up in the supreme (EXTREME) court face!
Side note, I did not know Kansas was a state. I thought Kansas was part of Missouri, lol.

Ha Ha. There’s Kansas City, Mo. half in Kansas and half in Missouri. People are nice here and the cost of living is cheap.
The politics alone is enough to not want to live there. There’s blue dots like Lawrence, KS. There’s lots of highly educated and less religious people in Kansas City, MO but the suburbs and rural areas aren’t very friendly to progressive women.
My best friend got a divorce from her abusive husband in Kansas and the judge said, “he was within his legal right to put his way ward wife back in place.” With all the trauma from the patriarchy, I don’t know if I could move back. I experienced a lot of oppression living in the Midwest. Midwest racism and sexism is more polite, but it’s still very much an issue.
Glad these women are voting for womens’ rights.

That's totally how I feel about the south I unfortunately grew up in a very Republican Red State full of Bible Thumpers and Christians LOL
I wholeheartedly refuse to ever return to that place don't care if it falls off the map. You're right though! Waaay too oppressive of an environment over there bleh. I'm a big city girl and ya I could be well off Financially if I moved there but I'd be beyond depressed so that's a deal breaker for me.
