Oh ya gotta love the little guys. I had a toy poodle and a standard. Same dog breed, different attitudes. The toy barked all the time, the standard was a watch dog.

Alot depends on how you raise the little guys, i am NOT a fan of "pet store pups." They come from mass breeding in puppy mills, and alot are bred to sisters etc. when another female from a different litter is not in heat.

That is where alot of health problems and behaviour problems come in. At a whopping $500!!

I do rescue, and the pound only. Except for my Shepherds who where breeders. But that was another story, i wanted more working dogs.
But they came from private breeders.

Just like Kobi says that chihuahuas are not all yappers, the same for the pit bull terrier not being a monster who will tear anyomne apart for no reason.

It's breeding, and raising. Terriers by nature are a happy dog, full of energy and not for a novice pet owner.

I think with any pet, you have to match the animal to your lifestyle. Based on room, and time spent. Dogs are highly social, and need people. I HATE seeing the ones chained in the back yard.

Big dogs take more time, but a Mastiff will do very well in an apartment dwelling just as a small dog will. They are big lazy brutes! Love em!

I am a big dog for protection kinda person however. My top choice will be a pit bull terrier anyday!!!

So Pamela, there's this Mastiff mix I've been working with at the shelter... he's a sweetie, good with kids and other dogs. Want him? :-)

I posted some (okay, quite a few) pics of my ferrets and dogs. Be glad I didn't post pictures of all my ferrets. :)

Whew, this may take a minute.....
A pound rescued mutt named Marley(after Bob)
Three cats, Pandora(black, named after a Tori Amos song/Anne Rice character), Tabitha(also black, named after the little girl on Bewitched), and Joey(Tonkinese, my boyfriend's cat)
A rabbit named Talula(after another Tori song)
Two ferrets, Hocus and Pocus
A bearded dragon named Obi(yes, after the Star Wars character. I swear I am not a geek.)
And two corn snakes, Lilith and Mephisto( names derived from mythology and a video game character. Really, I am not a geek.)
And there you have it, my zoo. I have two little girls, too, but I tell people I have 12 children! And love them all very much!
Love, Gia

I love strong, bigger dogs. I think I might kill a smaller dog by accident if I had one. I can run into my dogs, play tug-o-war with them, sleep on them, etc. They are the best!

I have two blue Pittbull Terriers. One girl and one boy, both AKC and UKC papered. They are so beautiful. They just had puppies. I have never seen anything cuter! When they were just born they looked like tiny grey mice. They are now 7 weeks old and their vet says they are the most advanced puppies he's ever seen!

Does anyone have a hairless cat? You know, like the one in Austin Powers...what was its name...Mr.Biggelsworth? My boyfriend was thinking of getting one. Anyone have any info. on these? It would be cute to get a blue one to match the dogs!

I have my cutie longhair chihuahua named Giovanni (I call him Gio). He's three months! I love him to death. I also have 2 labs and a cairn terrier at my mom's. I don't have the lifestyle or space for a big breed.

Of course, Gio thinks he's the biggest dog around!

Jeanette- the kitty you're referring to is a Sphinx. I personally don't own one, nor have too much information to offer other than they're really playful in the show rings, but I'm sure breeders have tons of info for ya.
Take care:)
