The sheer volume of customers at Treasures is insane. All kinds, college students/white collar oil men/out of towners/salesmen......You CAN escape extras, but you won't get a regular base there if you DON"T perform them. This is how I survive. And the hustle is HARD.

Looks wise, I have no idea what number I am on that damn SCORES scale. I am a business woman in a very true sense. I step into it in control. And this is where our intelligence helps.

Intelligence is just as genetic as attractiveness. Both can be enhanced in many ways, yes, but we can't escape the reality in an asymetrical face and how much intellectual interaction we had growing up.

Strippers here come in all shapes, sizes, and minds. This is in defense to the girls who were misinformed and maybe don't have that perfect body and beautiful soul. What are ya gonna do?

Tina's description of a clean dance in Houston is on the mark. There is going to be SOME contact if there is doing to be any $$$. Little girls who start dancing here at 18 get a big slap in the face when they are faced with the reality of a hard-on while they dance. It's inevitable. But I don't see it as desensitizing yourself to abuse if you made the choice to be there.

Let me describe what I mean by a middle of the road club. I will compare it to a department store. The best and second best Dillards, Macys, Marshall Fields and May Company stores in a city are middle of the road stores. These stores carry a large selection of mainstream designer merchandise such as Lauren for women and Polo for men, Tommy Hilfiger for both sexes ,better cosmetics, and some stores may even have some Dana Buchman, Ellen Tracy,or Armani in select locations. But they also carry a wide array of private label items that people not able or willing to buy the popular designers can purchase. An A or B level version of these stores can be found in most cities with 150,000 people or more. The larger the city the larger the designer merchandise selection.

Saks, and Neiman Marcus and some Nordstrom stores I consider high end as they carry exclusive designers and focus mainly on customers who make a larger average purchase and are really geared to those customers who buy based on likes and not price. Mainstream designers may not be available in these stores as they focus on more elite merchandise. These stores are only in major metro areas.

Conversely, stores like Penney's, Sears, Mervyns, and Kohls offer only basic value priced name brands geared to the working class.

Now compare this analogy to clubs.

Every city does not have a Scores, Penthouse Executive Club, VIP, Mens Club or Christies. But every city of several hundred thousand people or more has some business travel and men of above average incomes. And just as you can find your Clinique makeup in these towns at a Dillards or Marshall Fields or Macys you can find a strip club whose dancers are all 7's to 9's and well kept that attracts the upper level men as well as college students, farmers, and the working classes. It is the best there is to offer and is comfortable for all types of men to patronize. The guys who have money and want to spend it can here and the guys with $50 in their pocket fit in also. These clubs run tabs, have a private dance area where allowed, have a DJ, some serve food, some even have valet parking and a bathroom attendant and top shelf liquor. They want pretty dancers but don't go overboard with wanting nipples that stick up a certain way. A girl who is well kept and less than a size 10 can work in these clubs. High end club customers would be happy to be entertained by the majority of these dancers but the owners are the pricks. Most of you on this board work in these "middle of the road type clubs".

These are middle of the road clubs to me. Hopefully most of you will be familiar with some of these clubs I am going to list.

Melonie must be talking about small low volume clubs where the best looking girl is a 7. Those are working class clubs and not middle of the road. These are the Penney's, Sears, Mervyns, and Kohls of clubs and their dancers wear shoes from there too :o.

Even in large metro area guys favor more than one club. In Phoenix for example, Christies and Babes may push to bee upscale, but right behind them with beautiful girls of all races is Hi-Liter and guys with money go there too and it is busy day and night. King of Diamonds in the Twin Cities is a wanna dance club like Hi-Liter with $10 floor dances only and it has beautiful girls, is always busy, and gets it's share of money guys too.

Also every small low volume working class club does not have extras going on. Those types of clubs have no private areas to perform them and hardly any guys buy dances anyway. In many towns a violation of the SOB laws will get a club shut down so it is not safe to assume that these clubs allow that. Lots and lots of towns have clubs where nothing goes on but stage tipping and an occasional dance.

As far as air dances vs. contact, my comment involves what the MAJORITY of men are willing to pay for and a poster who mentioned he was not willing to pay for chat with 9's and 10's when he can meet them himself, who hated the air dances in Denver, and who didn't want sex in a club but felt it was a waste of money to get a dance without some grinding illustrates my point.

Why don't we take a survey of male strip club goers and see what they want for their money.

I merely made an objective post here. Just because a minority of dancers who work in a handful of upscale clubs randomly throughout the year can get paid several hundred dollars or a thousand to sit and talk to wealthy men who only patronize high end clubs because they cannot be seen or don't fit in with ordinary people doesn't mean that the other 95% of dancers out there can do that.We all get big spending customers from time to time but being able to work with all types of guys is the true test of a top dancer.

Well said Tina, you illustrated my point I was trying to get across,in a better way,I started dancing in clubs like that mentioned, only bikini,we had girls in the 7-10 range, with mostly 8s and 9s and we had all types of clientele, mostly white collar,I myself prefer to work in high end clubs now that I discovered them, but Iam versatile,I do not just cater to the weathiest white collar man,I have had many a blue collar give me just as much as I stated and I think this has been the secret to my sucess,I have the true ability to blend inwell in any surrounding and Iam versatile,I do not only work upscale,I wouldnt consider masters in myrtle bch to be upscale and its far from an air dance club, but the clientele is good and its packed and the average nightly potntial in season is 800 a night,I dont necesarily only work in upscale,I do work in all very well known clubs with high money making potential and minimal contact and only topless a true sucessful dancer couldnt survive on upscale alone.

Hey girl, we've got to get together sometime and dish on this one! I'm looking for work in the south houston, pasadena, bacliff area (to avoid licensing) and need to know which clubs / mgrs are decent and which ones to avoid. Just left my last job when the mgr. tried to pimp me out to his buddies and then tried to finger me in his office!! I know biz is slow but it'll never be THAT slow for me thank you very much!

Need a good day shift with a little less slime please!

Thanks, Paris

I started stripping in Austin then went to Houston to work.

The money in Houston is significantly better but the girls average out to be the same lookwise. There is more commerce in Houston, larger population, oil industry, etc...more $$$...

True, to make good money in Houston, you have to do more. I have seen used condoms and all the "extras" in Houston. I don't know how high I rank on the looks scale, but the best earners are usually not the most beautiful, but the ones with the best game. I've tried to help beautiful girls make money, but they were too busy wanting to sit at the bar and wait for prince charming.

Is anyone still at Caligula on this board? I havn't been there since spring and am thinking about returning? Is business any good there? Its been a blast to work there. Ricks is the pits though...

If I lived in Denver however, where all the clubs were like that, Im sure it would be plenty cool.

A technical critique. I stop in at a club or two in the Denver area that are nothing like that, although it stops short of some of the extremes that I've heard about on this board.

I haven't paid much attention to this thread because I'm not in Houston. There's guys who will look for the most contact possible, all the time. A dancer who isn't extreme won't get them for regulars. She probably doesn't want them for regulars.

In a contact club, the way that contact is offered is every bit as, or more so, important as how much is offered, at least for people like me and my friends, who are looking for a little faux intimacy but not to the point where we're cheating on our lovelies at home.

I have heard Houston is all about extras. So is Tampa, Florida.I am glad you found a clean club. Most clubs in the South are becoming all extras. In northern clubs extras happen in hotels after work.We are no longer a stage show, we are the wild west saloon girls. The only way to clean it up is to make club owners pay dancers and dance stage only.Lets put the show back into dancing.:O

The girls here seem to be doing more for less instead of less for more, so that gives us non extras girls a hard time when we try to hustle. The management at most clubs isn't going to do shit about the drug/alcohol problem these girls probaly have no one in there right mind would accept $30 dollars for full service! There are so many clubs in houston, they can't afford to be too picky about who they hire I even saw unattractive girls at TMC. They are trying to get those house fees.
