View Full Version : Lip Tricks??
Yay!! I remembered what it was called while I was blow-drying my hair. I had a revelation! It's called Plump-It, and it is cheap too! Here's what I could find.
http://www.aiibeauty.com/ardelltrendyitems.html I think it might be discontinued.
Oh, and the stuff that didn't work was by Sally Hanson.

I just wanted to know yalls lip tricks haha Not create a war
anyways thanks for the tips. I bought some juicy's from lancome and spice liner from mac
thanks
if you want your upper lip to appear fuller, outline the top lip JUST above the natural line, lightly wipe over the liner with a tissue to soften and set it, and then fill in with a slightly lighter color lipstick and top that with a really shiny lip gloss. MAC's plum or spice are good liner colors that matches almost any lip color. The liner on the top lip will create a little shadow which will make the lip look fuller. It works the same with the lower lip but the lower lip is usually fuller anyway.
I've used that Joey New York stuff. It didn't work.
What I've found that helps a little is to put on a good chap stick, then expholiate your lips lightly for a minute or two. If you expholiate too hard it's gonna hurt later.
When your done, more chap stick, blot, then put on a glossy lipstick, and a little high lighter right in your cupid's bow.
Hope you find this helpful,
Fawn

what does it feel like to get collagen injections in the lips? I was thinking about doing that but thinking about the pain too...

When I went in to have mine done (I unfortunately don't remember what they put in), he told me he could give me the anesthetic and the collagen or just the collagen. I'm a wimp so I wanted the anesthetic. The whole procedure didn't hurt very much at all. I was numb for awhile and they looked great. They hurt like a b*tch the next day and I had trouble eating. Also, about a week later I went to the dentist for a checkup and never get your lips done soon before you go to a dentist! It hurt!!! I only had 1 cc put in and this was on Halloween. I have an appointment to have more put in tomorrow. I'm not sure if it really went down alot but I wanted them bigger than they came out in the first place.
Pamela, did you find the name of the stuff at Walgreens yet? I've never seen anything like that before.

this is an interesting thread...
i have naturally full lips....the kids at school made fun of them in grade school and junior high (including a lot of racial comments)...when i hit high school it was a different story...so now i love my lips (and my big ol' brown eyes)...funny how things change...

How true Topaz! I used to get abuse for my lips too (strange, they are not even that plump!) and my teeth. Now I look after both of them with utter care as they are regarded by some as my best features (although personally, I prefer my ears - don't ask!!)

Here is the process I use. I am told often at work that I have DSL. I hope I don't have to translate what that means....
FIRST I line my lips a dark brown to define-
then I cover it with a pale lip color
followed by a gloss of the same shade
then I put a dot of shimmery white eyeshadow in the center of my bottom lip
then put ANOTHER layer of Juicytubes in the glittery pink.
I'm not cosmetically enhanced but HOT DAMN my lips look big!
