Tina for me, i can't go full time. I will be stopping in a few years, i work at a hospital trauma center. I will also burn out quickly. I am happy with what i earn. These figures i put up as my highest in the club i work now, these are not consistant, no way. It is very do-able!
Conversation, hustle, dance. I give them what they want. I spend time with them. Laugh at their jokes, and walk the floor saying hello to everyone.
I felt proud, and wanted to throw up my earnings! This does not roll around all the time. Looks, sure they matter. But confidence will sell you everytime! Some people are better sales people than others. And sojme clubs just don't have the regular client base. It's about so much more then the earnings. ;)

However, I prefer to sit with individual customers for extended periods of time and cut them deals...for example, $250 for all the dances you'd like in 1 hr., which is a 40-50% savings for the guy. If a guy really enjoys your company, and is intent on purchasing dances, anyhow, he'll likely accept the offer. Similarly, if I've been conversing with a guy for a couple of hours, and only danced erratically, this scenario ensues: Guy:"Well, Juliet,I've had fun,but I've gotta go home now. How many dances was that?" My response: "Well, Joe, I typically earn $300-$400/hr., and we've been here an hour and a half, so whatever you feel is appropriate."
VERY RARELY will I be paid anything other than my "estimated range". Finesse is key.
Those are such great lines. I find that the difference between a good night and a crap night is often determined by one customer. If you offer the all the dances you want for 250 and hour, the customer gets a good deal and you get a guaranteed amount of money. Everyone is happy. Add that 250 to what you make dance by dance and you'll always come home with great earnings. Often it's good sales ideas like this that determine the big money makers in the club, and you don't always have to be the hottest girl there.
Tina,
Why are you always so down on everybody? People work and live the way they want to because they are happy with their lives. Not everybody wants to travel constantly for $200 a night, especially since most people can stay in one place and make that.
Personally, I own a business, I go to school more then full time (18 credits) and I dance two nights a week. I average around 200/night, tho I usually make either in the 3-400 range or the low 100's. When I work more I burn out and my earnings drop, a lot.
I find that I can hustle individual dances all night long (like you talk about doing) and leave in the low 100's, or I can invest some time in a good customer and see if I can get a room out of it. I make much more money doing one or two rooms (where I get 1-300) then 10 or 20 lapdances.
Maybe the Montana dancer that posted has regular customers who make that level of earning possible. Hell, maybe she just rocks. Why is it so hard for you to beleive that other people make more money than you?

Tina,
I have been reading your posts on dancer earnings over a significant amount of time, and you always say the same things. Honestly, I have never earned the low earnings that you say that you earn. If I did I would never even consider dancing! When I dance, I make great money. (and this is in a vareity of states/cities) I know for a fact many dancers that could be millionares in 7 or so years. Does this mean that I should dance 6 times a week? Honestly, some could live off of what they make working four times a month. If you average between 4-6 hundred dollars a night, this is MORE than a job paying 12 dollars an hour (considered acceptable pay for someone educated entering an entry level profession) Please do not take offense to this, but I have started to wonder why you seem to have consistenly low earnings on a regular basis. There are many of us who can not work every single night. The smoke is a key factor, among other reasons - obligations etc. Please do not insult us or tell us what we should do. Try telling a non dancer to dance just because she can make good money. There are many things that I could do to become a millionare, but I will not compromise my health or emotional well being for any amount of money. I promise you that great money can be made regularly. I have no reason to lie. I also do not think that 200 is sufficient money to warrent taking your clothing off for men. If dancing ever got to the point where that is what I was earning I would quit. If you do not believe me or the other dancers on the board perhaps it is your way of making yourself feel better.

I have talked to Lena and others on the board as well.
In my opinion, location and the type of club you work in has ALOT to do with earnings. My money maker is MAINLY my regulars. And trying to build that list up all the time. I have very high paying nights, and what i call good nights. Never consistant.
If it came down to me making $200 a night for all the damn work i put into my stage shows i certainly would quit! I have said that before.
Juliet if i may ask where do you work, state...club?
I work Inner Room Cabaret.
Lena, I am not down on anybody. And I do not like to bicker with people.
I look at dancing as a way to make substantial money to invest in a business that can provide security for life.
I am not saying to you college students that you should work more than 3 nights a week and jeopardize your education.
I work where I work because I can make more CONSISTENT earnings than those made in the big cities. If i were still in school I would work as you do.
I have $400+ nights too but not back to back and I have not experienced enough upper income customers in a club consistently that are able and willing to spend several hundred dollars on one girl.
And I have seen many a girl sit with a guy for a long time instead of working the floor who gets NOTHING and cries about how he spent no money.
I don't expect everybody to like me or have the same experiences as me.
And even in the so called high end clubs where many of the owners are bigots, I know money varies from night to night.
Tina,
I'm sorry, looking back I came across much stronger then I meant to in my other post. I don't want to bicker either :-)
I agree with Pamela that location is important. When I lived/worked in bigger better places I made more money (in the last 2-3 years). At the moment I live in a place that accomodates my lifestyle and work in a club that's comfortable for me. That's a decision that I made, that my lifestyle is more important then my earnings.
About vip customers... there are a lot of factors. I'm assuming that not a lot of farmers have several hundred dollars to spend on a stripper. However, there are many truck drivers, business men, sports players, etc that do have such money. Odds probably aren't that good in a club full of farmers. Odds are much better in a club that caters to upscale business men. Competition is also tougher, as you've noted before.
Another factor is just picking the right guy.. I think that's something we all develop. If a guy doesn't have money or isn't willing to spend it on me I usually know within a few minutes.
But then you have to want to do VIP's... and the longer I dance the less desire I have to be stuck in a room with a strange man for a set period of time. So I have my nights where I avoid the big spenders because I don't want to play the games so I just hustle lots of lapdances. Those are my lower money nights. There are girls in my club who cater to the men who come in wanting longer rooms and they average between 3 and 7 hundred dollars a night. I just don't care to do that... it fucks with my head too much if I do it consistantly.

LOl, Lena.
Guess Juliet is not going to put her club name up. I just asked. ???
Hey i gave mine.
Actually farmers and ranchers have high earnings, especially in many parts of South Dakota. Most of them are middle aged and actively trade in the livestock commodities market.
At One of the clubs I regularly book, several guys come to see me each time I come to town and are worth $200 or so. Another retired guy who was madly in love with me in Fargo was worth several thousand dollars over 4-5 bookings and I got him to buy me a $400 digital camera ,lingerie from Victoria's Secret and a $200 Lauren winter jacket and coordinating sweater. He became irritating and wanted a relationship if you can believe that so I stopped booking that club.
Our target customers are the same everywhere and some clubs and towns up here attract more older target customers who spend money than others.
Also remember that most of the clubs in the upper Midwest in smaller towns pay booked dancers $300-$450 for a Mon- Sat week. That's $50-$75 added on per night to my club earnings.
We tend to stereotype places and people in areas we have never been and usually those stereotypes are wrong. The more towns seem different the more they are the same and everyone should experience driving to places they have never been and working in a new environment. I've learned a lot going to new places.
Guys spread their money around to all the girls here more in the better booking clubs and with only 4 other girls working in many clubs and in the bigger ones at most 8-10 girls you get more attention.
There are not really any sexual outlets for guys to frequent in these areas with the exception of Billings MT which has several massage parlors so the guys are more attentive to the stage and a new dancer who books at a club.
The big city upscale clubs such as in Texas have so many girls working and at times there is a girl sitting with almost every guy in the club so it is hard to work the floor. Then you go on stage and work 3 stages and maybe get $3 in tips as guys in those types of clubs just like in Vegas are not into the stage.
Or in Anchorage AK I worked at the busiest and best club but locals don't spend much and this business is driven by out of town men. Some nights you have a good clientele of out of towners and others you have a bunch of guys who don't want to spend any money or it is slow.
In the Texas clubs I might hit 1or 2 money guys and make over $400 and the next night hit $120. A lot of girls experience that and the clientele has changed a lot with not as many business guys from out of town coming out.
I need steady money to reach my after dancing goals and pay the bills and making $1800 one week and $700 the next doesn't cut it. The booking clubs are more steady and a slow week is $1300-$1400 compared to $700 in the big club that has more girls than spending customers. And the good weeks are in the upper teens or $2000+. Most of the club owners appreciate you more in the smaller clubs too.
That is why I am working bookings for now.
I just hate to see the younger dancers take dancing for granted because once they get stuck in the rat race of a salaried corporate job they will wish they had focused on making all they could dancing.
Melonie is a prime example of one of us who maximized her money making abilities in this business and 20 years before the average person retires she will be set for life.
I am just working where I can net the most money.
I came up in this business when the clubs were busy and you made your money going from table to table selling dances. One guy would buy dances from several girls and tip on stage. You didn't have to rely on finding one guy with lots of money who liked you more than any girl on the floor for the bulk of your earnings.
This is where I am coming from.
Pamela:
Hey, I've been out of town and haven't checked in, so sorry for the delay.
I work at a few places, as I travel on the weekends.
In Chicago, I work at CH2 and Allstars, in Houston at The Men's Club and Treasures, in NY at Scores, in Ft.Lauderdale at Pure Platinum. ::)
Tina,
Really? Farmers? That's cool :-)
Do you mean the Bush Co in Anchorage? I used to bank there, but you had to be there at the right times.
My thing right now is truck drivers. I was getting tired of the clubs in Pittsburgh where people who used to have money didn't anymore and there were too many young broke guys. And the political climate isn't great - one club that I worked at was seized by the federal government a couple weeks after I left.
So I went down the road to the club behind the truckstop and I love it. The clientele is mostly older truck drivers who appreciate a good stage show, and seem to have a little respect for a naked woman. If a truck driver is still on the road, he's still making money, and he has nothing better to do then spend it on me :-)

Juliet,
I am going down to Lauderdale to visit friends next month. I will be visiting Pure Platinum again.
But....did you quit, or do you only dance there once in a while. They don't seem to know who you are. Will you be dancing in April there?
Pamela, as i would visit you at the club, if thats ok.
I only dance there every once in a while -- haven't been in months, though I might return the week of april 12-19 .
Lena, yes I worked at Bush Company in Anchorage from 7/00-12-00.
The contact is less on dances there now and yes I had good nights when the north slope guys and miners came in as well as some of the tourists.
Was Gwinnie running nights when you were there and Lorraine 3-9's?
