Okay; I've been waiting to see what others posted here before I made a list. Glad someone finally locked on to that Paula Cole "Feelin' Love". I've got some weird ones because they nudge me with a memory;not because they are particularly sexy; but I'm gonna list 'em anyway. A few are sad/sexy too; and are rock songs.

Didn't he write Sugar Walls for her? Someone told me that, I thought...
MrChristopher
03-09-2006, 02:18 AM
I think so, yeah. He wrote songs for all the girls he was boning. "Manic Monday" for Susannah Hoffs, "Sex Shooter" for Appolonia, I think he wrote "Love Bizarre", too. Plus the keyboard riff on Stevie Nick's "Stand Back", etc etc. He's a busy little midget.

Great suggestions...
I have always been a biig fan of the more danceable tracks from Tricky, Hooverphonic, and massive Attack.
Sepultura is primarily Death metal or whatever, aren't they? I have heard a couple of tracks I liked a lot even if I'm not a huge fan of the genre, though, and it is interesting to see groups depart from their normal output, as well.

Sepultura is, yes, primarily a death metal band, but the album "Revolusongs" is a cover album. "Angel" is a cover of the Massive Attack song, incredibly sexy! And "Bullet The Blue Sky" is, of course, U2. Good for the girl who's tired of "Tainted Love" and "Sweet Dreams".
Set This World On Fire by a band called Rage is a great song for stripping. Its a little hard to find but its worth it.

Here are some sexy songs/artists I can think of:
Elysian Fields - songs such a 'Black Acres', 'Scratch', 'Anything you Like', and 'Bend Your Mind' (the last one might be the only one for dancin' though...and it's super sexy!)
Jem - 'Come on Closer'
Garbage - 'Use Me' and others that have been mentioned already.
Muse - songs like 'Sing for Absolution', 'Fury', 'Bliss', 'Dark Shines', and 'Micro Cuts'
Lovage - songs such as 'Sex I'm A' and 'Strangers on a Train' (super sexy!)
Cocteau Twins are kind of sexy
Collide - songs like 'White Rabbit' (Jefferson Airplane cover), 'Wings of Steel', and 'Halo'
King Crimson - 'Dangerous Curves'
Hindi songs such as 'Kaliyon Ka Chaman'...I'm sure there are more, some hindi songs are pretty sexy.
Tatu are kind of sexy but usually a bit too upbeat.
Alizee - 'Moi Lolita'

On second thought, forget Muse...they are not good for dancin' and probably to whiney to be sexy (but I still like 'em ;) )

The never fail song for me is "After Dark" by Tito and the Taranchulas. Remember Selma Hayek's scene in "From Dusk Till Dawn?" Everyone LOVES it. Others are "She Rides" by Danzig, "Pony" by Ginuine, "Need You Tonight" by INXS and "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails...and soooo much more.

I should be shot for not paying more attention to those dancers asking for Danzig over the years--"She Rides" is f*cking hot...
I sort of have an excuse, lol--I got into this as a way of getting away from my boring drawing table about 6 years ago (with a 1 1/2 year hiatus in there), and never wished to tout myself as a DJ who knew about and had everything good from all genres.
If enough dancers ask me about something I don't have, I'll eventually go check it out and get it, if it's good.
I wish a few more had bugged me about Danzig, lol...
"After Dark" is one of those songs that has held up very well over the years, in spite of a lot of play--usually meaning it's a damned good song, and in this case very true.
Great scene in that movie, too--that's the best part.

If you like that Zombie song, try "Real Solution #9" (Mambo Mania Mix), from Super Sexy Swingin' Sounds--it's got a similar powerful sexual feel to it.

I've been wanting to get more of a group called B-Tribe for a while now, since I always liked "You Won't See Me Cry', and since I was telling a friend about them, I went and DLed a bunch of their songs. The one I got that I really like is called "Suave Suave"--it's slow for club use, but great for a last song type setting, and excellent for at home.
They are like Enigma, but with a Spanish flair.

Just heard the new Peaches, 'Impeach My Bush', if you like her stuff you probably won't be disappointed, although I like 'Fatherfucker' better... tracks that stood out on the first listen were 'Tent In Your Pants', 'Two Guys (For Every Girl)' - not one for the homophobes, lol, 'Rock The Shocker', 'Slippery Dick', 'Stick It to the Pimp'

In case anyone remembers, there was this bad-assed song in The Thomas Crown Affair when they are on the island....very sexy.
Wasis Diop--Everything (is never quite enough)
and my current FAVE: ES Posthumus--Nara (Cold Case Theme)
Also, it's not sexy, but if anyone is looking for the song that the Night Fox uses in his laser dance scene in Ocean's Twelve, it's called the A La Menthe by Nikkfurie.

I FORGOT!! This one is REALLY PERFECT for the club!!! a MUST have!!
Chris Botti w/Sting & Shawn Colvin--All Would Envy.(It's an older Sting tune)
Lyrics:
Old enough to be her dad
But the young men were just mad they nursed their grievances
And she was flattered by his charm
It wouldn't do her any harm; they all had their chances
He sent her flowers and limousines
She was treated like a queen
Anything she ever wanted
It was no problem for a man like him
And everyone expected soon
That she could ask him for the moon
If she would wear his ring
Knowing glances from his friends
In the homes at the weekends of high society
But he didn't give a damn
He never felt more like a man
And all the time the clock was ticking
And all would envy the older man and his beautiful young wife
Yes, all would envy
In a house upon a hill
She was there with time to kill
She lived a life she'd only dreamed
The life was never what it seemed
To all her friends that she'd ignored
She denied she was bored
She had no time for dancing, no time for dancing
But the clock upon the wall
That was ticking in the hall
Always reminded her
That life was going on as well
But she was happy and she would swear she wouldn't change a thing
And all would envy the older man and his beautiful young wife
Yes, all would envy
Now it's 5 o'clock am
She must have spent the night again with that old friend of hers
She loves to dance
She's missing more and more these days
But he's still stuck in his old ways
Perhaps she needs a little more romance
But the clock upon the wall is still ticking in the hall
She must be home soon, soon
Where a younger man would weep
He takes a pill and goes to sleep
Now who would envy the older man and his beautiful young wife
Who would envy?
Who would envy?
