I am looking for songs for my Superman strip.

I have found "Superboy" by DJ Miko, "Superman" by Holy Land, and the "Superman" theme by Aphrodite (jungle beatsound).

I am waiting to hear the remixes for "American Life" to see if they are suitable for the Clark Kent bit at the beginning.

Any other ideas?

Please note that I am not personally recommending any of the songs below. :)

Superman (It's Not Easy) -- Five For Fighting
Superman's Song -- Crash Test Dummies
(Wish I Could Fly Like) Superman -- the Kinks
Oh, Superman -- Laurie Anderson
Waiting for a Superman -- Flaming Lips
Kryptonite -- Three Doors Down
Superman -- REM/Clique
Superman - Bad Religion
Superman - Bush
Superman - Alanis Morrissette
Rapper's Delight - Sugar Hill Gang*
Jimmy Olsen's Blues - Spin Doctors
Ordinary Superman - Counting Crows
Where Are You Goin'? - Dave Matthews Band
Superman Lover - Johnny "Guitar" Watson

*"He's a fairy, I do suppose,
flyin' through the air in pantyhose.
He may be very sexy or even cute,
but he looks like a sucker in a blue and red suit."
I said, "You need a man who's got finesse
And his whole name across his chest....
He can't satisfy you with his little worm,
but I can bust you out with my super sperm!"

Chad, LOL! I started replying to this with a song and realised its for you -meaning you- as in - A GUY!
LOL, I was going to suggest for your "floor" show, the show's final song, or :blanket show" that the American industry calls it - Super woman. Its an older r&b tune (maybe 10 yrs old?) and slow...
BUT YOU'RE A DUDE - so uh I highly suggest you DONT use it-- LOL!
Have a great day Chad,
:) Leigh xo

Hey Chad, I can't recall the particular song but it started out;

I'm your superman, That's what I am
And I'll give you, what ever I can
Be it early mornin, late afternoon

ect..

I don't think It went exactly that way but maybe you remember the song, it's old ( from the 70's ) but it had a good beat and played well into the theme.

A good piece of advise that I personally use is go to your favorite MP3 download site ( we all have one, or should ) and type in " superman" and wham you have like 2000 download's to chose from. Something there will surely fit the bill.
I personally look for remixes and techno version's of popular stuff just so it will be different ( refreshing ) and formilar all at the same time.

I found a pretty good song, Holy Ghost - Superman( club mix ) . It's a song that sing's "to" you as apposed to "for" you . Like " Here come's Superman" instead of " I wanna be your Superman" . It also has a great "Helicopter" beat ;).

There is also of course

Superman by Black Sabbath

and my personal favorite is

Black Superman by Above the law.

Although this last song might not work for dancing, but you never know it might be right up your alley.

A slight correction:

I believe the song you had in mind was by KC and the Sunshine band, however, it was entitled 'I'm your Boogie man'.

Of course, later covered (remade) by Rob Zombie for the Crow 2: City of Angels soundtrack.
