i got 8, wouldn't take em back for nothing. everyone i got tells a lil' story bout me. from the ganish that covers my back, to the devil ducks on each thigh, hearts with wings on both feet, and my name on my wrists and oh yeah even the "slut stamp" of cherries on my lower back.

i love when guys try to talk me out of getting more. as if i have no idea how to decide anything for myself. they tell me things like "they're permanent" and "you'll regret it".

really??????????????? i've never considered those things before. i'm a big girl and i can decide what i want on my body.

i also love being told "they're meaningless".. then i go "well they mean something to ME" and the guy says (this actually happened the other day) "they can never mean enough to you to be permanent"

thanks for explaining to me what i should i value. *rolls eyes*

Can you put a picture in picture post Ali? (if you haven't already) I'd love to see your tattoo.

My chestpiece has worked wonders for me. I have pretty small breasts, and before I got it done guys would pay more attention to my ass (which is nice but my boobs need some love, too!) Now I get more compliments on my boobs, and especially my nipples, more than ever. Guys will of course check out my chestpiece, ask what it is about, etc, then all of a sudden they will stop and be like "Oh my dear lord you have amazing nipples!!" I have landed so many VIP's cause of these fantastic nipples of mine it's not even funny. Before my chestpiece, I would get a nipple comment here and there but hardly ever, and would spend most of my time with my ass in guys faces. Now, I spend 95% of my time facing my customer. Silly that a huge tattoo on my chest is what is has taken for guys to appreciate and NOTICE my nice nipples and nice perky tiny little titties.....but whatever. It has become a strong selling point for me.

Then of course, there are the ones who think a tattoo on a woman's chest is repulsive and hideous (like the owner who fired me from my old club because if it) but opinions are like assholes, everyone has them. He fired me cause HE didn't like it. Silly rabbit, not checking my tipout history is for kids.
Now another club is making money off of me and my hideous chest piece, my nipples are being worshipped and I am rich, beootch!

I am so ridiculously excited to dance once my backpiece is done... I had my 1st session and quit my club right afterwards, so I have yet to see what the response will be. My little hip tats often went unnoticed- they are pretty small- but the few that did usually liked their originality/placement... the few customers who spoke french/knew latin really liked them.

I'm sure that because of the size of the backpiece I may turn off some potential customers who prefer a clean slate- but I also believe that it's a conservative enough tattoo (it's a bookworm tattoo done by a very famous/talented artist, nothing garish or unplanned, and nothing unrecognizeable, either) to perhaps garner some unusual interest.

I hate tattoos in general, I would never get one. I don't think it looks classy at all and would ruin the effect of wearing a beautiful garment.

The only people I think they look good on are really tanned, muscley men. Hate them on women - sorry I know many of my SW friends have them but we all have diff opinions on things.

Big tattoos on a dancer would certainly put me off getting a dance.

My club requires them to be covered up with dermablend anyway.

To me it really depends on the tattoo. For example anything involving Taz, bubble hearts or the dreaded "tribal" designs is just another label for "trashy". However if they are artistic, well thought out or even traditional I really get into them. I have one tattoo on my lower back (yes a tramp stamp) and it's an Ohm symbol.

I have your standard girl lower back tattoo. I do wish that I had been a bit more creative about its location, other than that I don't regret it at all. At work, typically, I either get complimented, or they want to know what it means.

I have had customers point out other girls tattoos in a negative way when they thought the girl had too many. Have also had a custie point out a girl with tattoos, and go, "When I look at her I wonder if she had fun in jail." The girl had quite a few tats, but they were all REALLY small. That guy happened to be a tattoo artist, and of the belief that those type are the kind you get when you really want a tattoo, but are fearful of the pain.

i have a 3 quarter sleeve and it doesn't seem to phase most guys at all! more often than not they find it sexy. maybe because it's unusual i seem a bit exotic.

i do well with all types of custies really. i have been dancing over a year and i have had maybe 5 or 6 negative comments about it. i do pretty well considering :D

Damn. Very nice work.

My opinion about tattoos is like it is for other artworks. If it's good, I'll probably like it. ;D

I have two small ones, and I occasionally get shit about the one on my upper arm, because it's a "butch" place to get a tattoo. I could really give a flying fuck about whether or not someone likes it though. For every person who hates something about you there will be another who absolutely loves the very same thing.

Last week I had some guy tell me that my red hair was disgusting. Just absolutely disgusting, redheads are so nasty. It was a shame too, because if I would just bleach my hair blond I might be passable as a human being. Eww, how can I walk around with this gross, freakish, red hair (I'm a natural redhead).

Personally, I think obesity "ruins" a person's beautiful god given body, but I don't go around telling people "Why did you have to ruin your body with those french fries. You'd be so beautiful if you just put down the cupcakes and backed away."

I'd appreciate if they could extend the same courtesy to me.

Ladies and gents I give you... Krystyne Kolorful! This is the only full body color tattoo of her I have seen. She has 95% total body coverage and is a stripper from Canada. Everything I have read on her today says that she is a stripper anyway. She is hot, tattooed and a stripper so no complaints here. I can't find an official website or tour schedule on her anywhere. :'(

Canadians where you at? Find this lady and bring her to SW!

honestly, good luck finding dancers or anyone in their early twenties who has no tattoos....tons of us has them.

I have two medium sized (like a bit larger than a deck of cards each) tattoos on my back. If somebody doesn't like them, well, they don't have to get a dance from me....

This is just a job; I'm not about to go around making life decesions based on what will or will not make me money in a job I probably wont have past the age of 30 anyway...

i love how it's hip to hate tattoos because tattoos are hip.

i actually had a customer say to me the other day "tattoos are so passé" while looking at mine.

pfffft

you're a middle-aged bitter man with a beer gut and a red sports car... and you're going to tell ME what's "past it's prime"?

hahahaha, this is the funniest thing I have read on here! :D

dude, i'm so glad you're the fad authority. whatever would i do without you.

I once had a dancer who had a tattoo stating "Carpe Noctem". Given how I totally dig the relatively obscure, I totally bought a dance.

I dunno. If a dancer has a tattoo, and I'm interested in a dance, it makes it easy for identification. Granted, a dancer WITHOUT ink would have the same effect, but the club I go to has more inked than not.

I have a butterfly on the lower right side of my stomach. It was kind of a spur of the moment tattoo and sometimes i regret getting it. But it doesn't seem to affect my dancing at all. Alot of guys say they like it

They may be a turn off for you, but way to stereo type...

A sign of psychological issues? Yeah I guess everyone who works at a tattoo shop and has lots of big tattoos must have issues too!

I get many compliments on my full back piece,
Actually, I cant go anywhere public in a tank top (club or not) without getting compliments. But nobody gives me their shrinks card.

I have none, despite the fact that I have known what my first tattoo was going to be since I was in 7th grade (I'm 25 now.) When I started dancing, I was doing a lot of parties with business clientele and I would get told, "I'm so glad you don't have tattoos." They would be relieved; now, having danced with a lot of girls both in the party and the club context, I can say that while I still plan on getting tattoos I'm going to wait another five to ten years. I've seen two types of tattooing that i don't like on dancers-- the first is the typical tattoo, say a tramp stamp that doesn't seem to mean a whole lot. I think these are hot when the girl is doing a lapdance for me, and she's turned around and gyrating her hips-- other than that, it's just so overdone by the majority of women out there.

Then there was a girl I worked with once or twice who had full sleeves, full back, a lot of a full front, and down her thighs. I thought that was too much in terms of stripping.

I love the spinal column tattoos, and I love the hip ones.

I just know that (likely) when I start my tattoos, I'm going to get the whole shebang with three quarter length sleeves, most of the back, wrapped around to the front of the pelvic bone, and perhaps a little something on the chest plate.

However, I want to have this all (mostly) figured out because one thing that bothers me about mass tattooing collected over time is when the tattoos don't flow from one to another, or they're just freaking incongruent and weird because they bridge the span of time when the person was young and poor with rather low tastes mixed in with the older person with money who has a better idea of who they are and how they want to express that in the tat media.

as far as the dragon penis-- looks more like a caterpillar to me, and I can't imagine sticking a caterpillar in my hooha.

although-- the funny thing is that I did a dance for a guy a week or so ago, and we were talking on the phone later. He said he noticed that I didn't have any tattoos, and I said he missed the one on my kitty saying "here be dragons" in script. I had to tell him I was joking, but since the place is topless only-- I totally could have.

now I'm wondering if "here be dragons" is going to be my second in line to get, but then, like I said, I have a couple years to think about it.

The guy who has that tattoo is a 64 year old gay man in the UK, so I don't think you need to worry about its being in your hooha. Where it does get stuck is perhaps best left to the imagination.

There are other photos of him showing the rear view as well, which is just as intricate as the front. But just looking at it makes me feel pain, and every guy I've shown the images to, including guys who are heavily tattooed, have all reacted the same way.

I mostly get compliments, but occasionally someone asks why I would do that to my body. It makes me wonder if they ask the same question of women with other body mods. BAs, for example...

Mostly, they've helped me get dances.

I've got one that I designed with my ex-bf. It's in the middle of my back, center of my spine, at waist level. A lot of people don't realize it's there because of the somewhat unusual location. It was going to be a tramp stamp but the ex talked me into this spot instead. It's pretty benign. I'm very happy with it, because it's very much my taste and my style and it isn't trashy at all.

It represents the desire for permanence juxtaposed with the reality of impermanence. The design looks like an infinity symbol at first glance, but the lines don't meet up and the purple shading only fills half of it. To me that's a teaching about life. We grasp at eternity and security and sometimes you think you even found it...and the reality is, it is an illusion. We can't have it. Even the canvas my tattoo is on is impermanent (mortal flesh).

I'd really like to get a half or 3/4 sleeve but I'm putting it off because I'm afraid it's going to hurt my money. Dancing is not my long-term career goal but I do like having it as a fallback. I'm going to check out an upscale NYC club this summer and part of me hopes I don't like it so that I can just get my tattoo and not mind the missed opportunities. I'm also afraid that somehow it wouldn't fit my style. Because I'm not really a punk chick, and I don't want to be pigeonholed. I want to be a hot girl with a pretty tattoo.

I also have an idea for a snowflake tattoo but I can't figure out where to put it. it would be like a photo of one I saw with a mandala and star of david embedded in it. For me it would represent the relationship between nature and spirituality -- in particular, nature as a source of truth.
