if you are so uptight your not going to get anywhere in this industry.
Uh, I'm pretty sure a lot of people already proved that wrong.
Stripper 101--Clubs are different everywhere. What is standard or necessary in one is abhorrent to the employees of another, and vice-versa.

l have a hell of a time "quoting" but the line above me that says "if you are so uptight your not going to get anywhere in this industry" it took the words right out of my mouth.l love it!
if you re-READ what abadvi was saying then you would see what she meant.

Not again....lol....
another argument between those who like the contact and those who don't...lol
No, I'm not a prude cause I don't like to be touched in a strip club for money...I'm really kind of kinky at home actually....lol
No, I don't get all huffy when someone tries something, or says something sexual to me...if they don't get what I'm trying to do and that I'm not "into" getting paid for contact, I'll just happily move on to the next guy that does...lol....funny how these guys are few and far between when you look at it percentage-wise though...lol
Yes, I do agree with you that sometimes dancers can go overboard when it comes to customers reactions to their "dancing"....to me, it's just a part of the job that may or may not happen from time to time, and it's never worth getting upset over, and certainly not worth complaining about incessantly.
When I see a post by an alleged female poster trying to get a rise out of the dancers I always assume its a guy troll.

I am not a prude. I am very open sexually. I'm also married. Why would I want a stranger touching me the way only my husband is supposed to? There are such things as Hepatitis, TB, etc. I don't know where these guys mouths or hands have been, why would I want them on me?

Anyone else here notice the grammer darkness has? Or lack there of? Kindof looks fimilar doesent it...
Anyways, anyone is allowed to speak their mind this IS a free country you know and most dancers come here to let go. I dont mind having them vent here about their bad day, it beats them botteling it in and blowing up doesent it? Hell even I vent here.
You better start to learn that people arent going to do as you expect And if you dont like it then tough.

Am i to assume that you are implying darkness may in fact be eyez? ... if so, it is hardly unlikely.... They were both members of SW at one point.
And as for the lack of grammar comment, well your grammar and spelling isn't exactly up to par either.... in fact i find her post's more easier to read than yours.... just thought i'd point that out.

::)
Who the hell is eyez btw? Sorry no im not insinuating its eyez becuse I have no idea who that is. :-*

Tragic, so who does darkness' spelling and grammar seem similar to?
Eyez was danielle, the girl who started posting about ebay auctions and her boobs. She was banned after causing a million problems.

I read this thread and like to comment about something I can not relate to and don't want to project that I do but I'd like to say that I admire anyone who can do what dancers do and maintain a smile....I mean in front of you is some greasy fat ass who talks to you like your a cheap whore and you still maintain his fantasy (to a limit) and than he's to cheap to tip. in my mind that would make me want to unass that stage and plant a foot. I don't go often and it's usually with others, but I think like a movie if it entertains it's worth the price and dancers like artists have different degrees of talent and are paid according to how well they entertain. No one should be required to do what makes them uncomfortable but as in all lines of business the amount of effort sometimes determines the fee. I do agree that as entertainers and artists, dancers should be treated as such and anyone who thinks they are and should act like a cheap whore is in the wrong place and deserves nothing.
just a guys opinion .....

Thanks for your opinion einstein. Why does everyone assume that our customers are greasy, fat, talk to us like cheap whores, and don't tip? That guy represents like 2% of my customer base, with variances everywhere.
Look at a street cleaner in Chennai, his job is VERY uncomfortable and he does it for $3 a day. Life isn't fair. Your post is inarticulate and helps no one....

Jringo you're wrong. Maybe, if you work at a po dunk redneck neighborhood bar. My customers are pleasent and well groomed gentlemen. Every great once in awhile I get an ass I have to put in place. But, most guys know how to act. Give respect get it. Another thing we are the boss and in control of every action. We might let you think the customer is, but, you're wrong. We simply are great actresses. So we know what to do in any situation that comes about. That's why it seems like a movie to you. IT IS A FANTASY. And it is our choice to do what we do.
Jringo

point 1. I never said all customers are greasy fat guys. if you follow the thread to the start the topic was being in a adult enviroment and putting up with certain things. I simply stated or meant to state i admire anyone who can do that ( no matter how often if ever it happens)
point 2. I never said it was like a movie to me, simply stated that like a movie or any entertainment (take your pick) if it entertains it is worth the cost and "may" determine the entertainers income. ( as stated in thread)
point 3. more proof that if you read between the lines enough you will enventually disagree and come up with a street cleaner for a example.....
point 4 what does a street cleaner have to do with anything???
I dont think Jringo's response was something to be taken negative.
I think what he was trying to say was that EVEN when we have a disgusting customer, we still keep a smile and dance because it is our job. We dont discriminate unless the guy is a real dickhead.
But re-reading his post, I dont see anything bad. He even stated himself, that we deserve the respect from guys.

simple case of misunderstanding text, text written by non pro writters often lack the ability to understand the intent and mood of the writter and often we simply read what WE feel at the time. I am sorry if anyone mis understood my comments and maybe a "Guy" shouldn't post here. To clearify once more what i meant to convey was simply that life deals us a hand how we play that hand determines the outcome. like the old saying" be true to yourself. "which was my response to ."if your to prude get out of the business" theme of this thread. I think there are a lot of talented and sexy women who if THEY want to dance should be allowed to without worry of doing things they do not want to. And that I admired those people for whatever reason they do what they do. Men , however few the number, have to remember the dancer is there to entertain which gives them no right to anymore than just watch. As for the comment that the dancer is always in control and most men are so sweet, being a guy I can say the Man will often say and do anything to achieve their goals, even be a nice guy. which can lead to problems esp. with those les"Life wise" and the feeling " I can make this guy do anything" can be a false feeling of control and "COULD" lead to unwanted problems. Sure those are worse case senerios and most guys are as you say "nice"......but needs to be at least something less street wise dancers need to keep in at least in the back of their mind.
anyway I won't post anymore
Have a great day

This was the quote I was commented upon regarding unpleasant jobs. Its not the hardship of work that determines income, ie, a streetsweeper in 110 degree a day southern India gets $3 busting his back.
We are geographically and physically blessed to be working in Westernized Countries and having the beauty to be entertainers and companions. Some of the ladies make much more effort than others based on the nature of their looks/personalities/sales skills.
I know some beautiful lazy strippers who make lots of money sitting around on their elegant asses. Life isn't fair, I am still very lucky. We should all remember how lucky we are. Reading Jringo's posts reminds me how lucky I am to be a decent writer, in at least 3 languages.

Hey now, I thought Jringo was being kinda cute. He is a nice guy just posting his thoughts. Don't stop posting, that makes me sad! We like male opinions, besides your writing skills were just fine!
Jringo next time you post just skip spaces and break up your sentences a bit. This particular thread is just inspiring hatred!! Don't feel bad.
Anyway. To some I may be a slut, to some I may be prude. At the end of the day I am comfortable with my actions and what others think really doesn't matter.

I work as what would be considered a low contact dancer (no touching of private areas allowed, no kissing/licking of anything at all) in an extremely high contact club (anything goes). I was afraid that I'd be too prudish at first and that I wouldn't make much money because I thought "why would a guy pay me $15 for a lap dance when he can get sex/BJ/hand jobs in the next booth over for the same price? But it is all a test. Most guys do try touching or pulling their penises out, but once I say no, they stop trying, continue getting dances, and often still tip for the dances afterward. I think that it's just as important for clubs to have different looking women as it is for clubs to have women who are willing to do different things. It seems that guys (at least at my club) crave variety... from prude, to prostitute, and everything in between.

Penis being pulled out? I've never had this happen to me. I would propbably calmly walk away. Then have the manager take care of it from there.

I dont think it's a matter of being a prude but when a customer insists on forcing his way through a dance just to suck on your goods than that is wrong! It has nothing to do with anything else but being comfortable with who you are dancing for. Every girl who has been in the industry long enough has had a guy they were comfortable with do "almost" anything.
The girls who you so call prudes are probably posting about a few bad customers, so why go and insult?

you know this is the first 6 page thread that i actually didn't get bored with and stop reading! lol. 1st off to darkness where exactly do you work? some places are more "prudish" than others, take memphis for example; i have seen guys hands everywhere on vip's and no girls complain 'cause it's just one of those things. but for example when i worked in cali we couldn't even hardly kiss a guy on the cheek without getting 9 kinds of hell about it. personally i'm a "touchly-feely' kinda chick, i love running my nails down a guys chest when i'm doing a dance and feeling his hands tighting around my waist. (note: no touching my "cookie" or pinching my nips! automatic smack in the face but me and bye bye to the club) that lets me know he is having a great time and is enjoying himself. And we all know if a guy is having a good time he will spend more $$$$$.
Ohio's law is pretty simple - if I pay you, and you touch me in a way that sexually arouses me - then it is, by definition, prostitution.
If this law was always adhered to, then the clubs would all go out of business. The dancing is nice...but that isn't what trips our triggers. And it's not enough to grind, either. I enjoy it when you enjoy what you're doing, and enjoy it enough to pay more if I get the nails down the chest. "Ah.....that car payment can wait...."

eeeewwww!!! My club is pretty much full contact - I was on stage in the nude room last friday and this guy with a kanker sore licked my back! I was definately keeping my pussy away from him. I feel like my rules are flexible and change as the $$ changes. No pussy licking, probing or pinching however. No biting of the nips - it hurts. I will punch you in the side of the head if you do. A little lick might be ok(as long as you are progressing with your $$.) No pulling out of the cock, I will not grab it, lick it or let you cum. If you do, you owe me extra and take your pants to the dry cleaners!
I enjoy not being a prude...I make $$.

ok here is something that pisses me off. An older guy asked me for a dance saturday. I of course said ok, and led him into the couch room. the second we turned the corner he sqeezed both breasts so HARD it pushed me down under him on the couch. I CALMLY asked him if he liked having all his teeth. This is what pisses me off the most though: he says,"I do it all the time in here" which is an outright LIE because non of the ladies I know that work there would let a man do that at our club. I can't stand the guys that try to excuse their lewd behavior by blaming it on the girls. It would be one thing if I worked in a high miliage club, but I don't.
And most of the men I dance for are perfect gentlemen.

If I want to be touched or licked, it will be in a mutual situation. Anything uninvited is sexual assult basically. The same would apply if I were a prostitute.
As far as being a stripper in Australia is concerned, there are laws against being touched or licked etc, (though they vary from state to staste. Queensland alows some touching.) The laws are extreemly strict.
I wouldn't want to work anywhere where it was ok for people to do what they wanted to you without consent, that's ridiculous!
I also enjoy working with other strippers who feel the same and kick-ass when people try to over-step the boundries.
