You know, I really don't mind anyone being blunt about a question I've asked in their opinion. My boyfriend even says I need about 20 pounds taken off. I've BEEN 20 pounds lighter and it definitely makes a difference as to how 'wide' I appear. But you guys are fantastic with all the reassurance here, and I thank for it.
I'm just hoping I don't appear to look like the 'old' body-type like MarylinMonroe/AnnaNicole....uggh. I don't want to remind anyone of that bod-type. I look at E's 'Wild On' w/ Kelly Taylor and I think she's got an incredible body, so thin and muscular!! I know I couldn't ever look that way since she's got less of a ribcage circumference than I do. Now, how about Brooke Burke, is she on the more curvier side? Would I look more like that, or do i still have a 'bigger' frame than that?
(Of course take into consideration that I've got to improve my workouts to look like her)
Actually, I hate my ribcage circumference. It DOES make me look wider and that is because I have a mild case of pectus which is a skeletal malformation. I didn't know that until I went for implants! I've heard of girls getting ribs removed because of protruding bones.
I also put weight on my thighs which doesn't make your ass look toned. (Why do you think I didn't contribute to the 'ass pix' thread!!) My boyfriend told me that I even went too big with my implants- which makes look me 'bigger'. Also, I am used to tanning beds and I know I look like shit. My avatar 'glows' since I'm so white but I just haven't had the cash to do any tanning..
Realistically, how much of the market prefers bigger framed girls? Aren't the 8/9/10 girls w/tiny body frames are more in 'demand' in the media and stripclubs?
~DL
If I was dating a guy who ever told me I needed ANY changes on my body, we wouldn't be dating much longer. I have all kinds of "imperfections" on my body: lopsided boobs, big belly, stretch marks. But as far as I'm concerned, I am f*cking beautiful and any guy who disagrees doesn't deserve a minute of my time (let alone my fidelity).
Thanks to the ladies who backed me up on the skin cancer thing ;D
I know that the body needs vitamin D, of which sunlight is one source. I am not anti-sun, it's just that excessive sun exposure is bad for people, and tanning beds far worse......
I tan twice a year tops. in a tanning bed because I only do it in the winter for my D and mood. I havent tanned in about 2 years though (can you tell? :D) this year because I was broke, and last year because I lived in FL and didnt need to.
....The idea that cancers only occur with cooked food or "unnatural" eating is ridiculous. Bone tumors have been found on fossilized bones. The prehistoric mammals and dinosaurs didn't have hibachis, I'm pretty sure.
cancer is a very varied thing, carcinogens are everywhere. My grandmother was very healthy, yet died of cancer. And food isnt always the culprit, as I read once "I discoved that cancer is a sexually transmited disease today...."

(theres even an article about sun exposeure, ha.)
I don't blame you on the ribcage thing dl, mine is big too. actually the measurement under my breasts is 29" (+5=34DD) but you can feel and sometimes see my ribs, then my waist is about 29" as well when relaxed so it gives me a very boxy appearence....
celeste, good about the bf thing. :) my husband only agrees when I say i want something done, the only thing he dosnt want me to change is to cut my hair short, he just likes long hair......

A club owner might not hire you on sight just because you're over a size 2, but plenty will, including at top clubs. Again, your face is stunning, you have great boobies and you're proportional. Also, you look tall-ish to me, about 5'7"-5'9".
As for the media, keep in mind that most successful models and actresses aren't cookie-cutter and are distinctive looking. You're about as curvy as Catherine Zeta-Jones and J Lo.
Proportion is underestimated. I've seen my share of "small framed girls" with narrow hips and a gut.

WOOHOO!!!! Celeste! Please preach that to each and every one of your female friends, mkay? Aside from bickering about obvious health problems to get someone off their ass to see a doctor, SO's being manipulative about solely physical look should be shown the door leading to a world loaded with the kinds of bodies they are seeking.
You know, I really don't mind anyone being blunt about a question I've asked in their opinion. My boyfriend even says I need about 20 pounds taken off.
You want blunt? Your boyfriend sounds like a total asshole/loser. How's that? The source of your problem is him, not you.. in my opinion.

Yes, it does look wider. It's one of your better features. Don't knock it!
DigitalLove- you have a ROCKIN' body... gorgeous face.. beautiful curves. Just because you've had some turdball trying to mold you into some Euro supermodel (which you'll never be able to become) doesn't remove the fact that you are totally hot as-is. You've gotten like 13+:1 results here. It's all honest and realistic advice. The sheer arousal factor of your curves is VERY high (*pant* *pant*)..
If you were working the floor with all the 9's/10's at my local clubs, you'd be the first I'd jump on... I'd fear for my wallet if you worked here... as-is, no weight loss or changes. Go for it! No more excuses! ;D ;D :10:

You know what...you look GREAT!!! You are very beautiful! I am curvy also, and men LOOOVVEE that! I have received sooo many compliments about my figure. The older men (who I get along with well, anyway) love a curvy woman. They tell me I'm soft and have compared me to Marilyn Monroe (though I am smaller than she was.) Confidence is key. I wouldn't lose weight if I were you. Your body will set you apart.

For the woman who posted her picture: You looked very beautiful. I personally would not place you in a chubby category, but I think you should set goals to what you feel "you" need, not what anybody else feels you need. Im sure you already do, and just wanted our extra opinions. To be honest,i rarely ask others because they most likely want to make me feel my best. Instead, i concentrate and do all i can to place myself in the best category i can be in. This shouldnt be a problem on this thread though, because from what i read, everyone is very nice, but honest as well. Good luck =)

You are beautiful! don't let anyone put you down, yes you are curvy but who decides what is overweight and what isn't. Just remember hon ever guy likes something different in a woman not every guy likes a tiny little woman! There is a girl in my line up this week that has a similar body type to you and the guys just go crazy over her!! :o

lets be realistic. Men love thin women, at least I do. You do look great now, but you would look amazing if you lost 20 pounds.
If there is one thing I learned by working in a strip club, it's that for every kind of woman, no matter what her shape or size, there is some guy who is dying to spend money on her. One guy even told me that his friend never visited the club I worked in because he liked girls with 'no breasts and huge huge thighs' and our club didn't have any girls like that!
The truest generalisation you could make is that 'men love women' but even that obviously isn't 100% true!
