oh i did get my teacher's aide certification from a correspondense school. that's as high as my education is so far though. but that doesn't mean i'm not a smart person- school just isn't really for me, never has been (only i couldn't drop out as a kid and was stuck in public school)
Great story FBR!! Thanks for sharing!
Kat, they say the good Lord looks out for stupid people...after all, who else would? I'm happy that seems to be a true statement. I'm a lucky man in many many ways.

Woooooooow!!! Do we have bunch of Einsteins here or what? Is everyone here for real? When I was dancing, I met a few college student dancers (very few). Most were drugged out, Coke-heads, heroin addict. Many were just unambitious in life. I thought I was the only stripper going to college. Well, that's great if all of you ladies are as intelligent as you sound. More power to us, right?
I am an X-dancer. I earned a Master's Degree in healthcare and now I work in administration. No one at work including my employees now have any clue what I used to do. I would never tell them either. If they knew, they wouldn't respect me as their boss. If my bosses knew, they would find an excuse to fire me. Ah, the joy of working in a corporate world! I find it fascinating that everyone is so intrigued by strippers. Yet they hate us, fear us, and still love us at the same time. Such dichotomy of emotions!

I am in school for Medical Assisting and have perfect attendance and 4.0 every quarter. YAY! It is hard work sometimes but it really does add to my self-esteem knowing I am pushing myself and paying my way through school.

Excellent!!!!
I use to be a chip n dale dancer just to pay my university. Now I am 2 months aways from being a lawyer. 3.5 grade average. Now I hardly do any dancing. Just for my girlfriends, jejejej But noo shame in what I did. I needed the money, I invested properly (on an education) Now I moved on.
But I admire an exotic dancer with means to get an education. Nothing is easy in life, and we all now that studying and exercising the body is a pain in teh ass. But nothing is impossible.......
Congrats!!!!!! keep going girls!!!!!

honors B.Sc, tho it took me a little extra time, as I spent the first year or so searching our on campus pub for a major I liked(lol). Ended up with double major Psych & crime and deviance.
Was a TA for a year, scored 96% percentile on my LSAT so headed off to law school."
What exactly did you score on your LSAT if you don't mind me asking? And do you know what school (or range of schools) you will be going to? From my practice tests I'm going to be looking at a 170+. I can't wait.
I did school for three years but I was traumatized by some events that happened to me and couldn't continue. I've seen complete idiots get through college. My degree was in English, but when I go back I will probably pursue something else. I can't do school right now. My heart's not in it. I got a 1550 on the SAT, though.

(provided i pass all my classes) I will have a BA in Music after this semester...and after two more semesters, i will have an AS in pre-physical therapy.
I will have been in college for 5 years at the end of all this, GPA 3.87 as of now, desperately hoping to raise it, or at least keep it where it is...
...i will eventually have to go to grad school if i want to work as a physical therapist...but first, I'm taking a few years off to sing, travel, dance, write music and pursue other things! i've been in school since age 5, damnit! :P

I left high school early (legally) by taking an exit exam. The graduation requirements for my high school district were 150 credit units, I had 145 after less than 3 years of high school. At age 18 I enrolled in the local college studying Biology & Hazardous Material Technology. I loved studying the environment but money was always a problem. I also got a job with a state resources agency and got to see how low the pay was for people working in the Environmental Conservation field. Disillusionment set in.....
After several years of travelling & other assorted adventures, I have found my calling in life & my previous schooling actually helps me understand the career better (I'm not saying what, but it's very gratifying to me.)
