i hope your right huney, that this trend will die out,, but at my club its been going on for allmost 2 yrs. and every weekend there are more & more young collage/hiophop/rapper wannabes in there....the only older executives we are getting is during the lunch hours basically 11 am to 2pm, mainly mondays thru thursdays... fridays after 4 or 5pm the young A-holes start to filter in the club....about 2 years ago we had girls fighting management & other dancers to work weekends late night & now the fight is to work the weekday lunch hours, to avoid the kids......dam how the industry has changed gezzz, sorry reality just hit ( lol)............i hope to god things get better or theres going to be alot of umemployed dancers & bankruped clubs everywere...

I think a lot of the younger crowd comes in during weekends because a lot of clubs are 21 and up...We get a ton of 18 year olds and up because we don't serve liquor. I personally, dislike it because younger guys are really rude and obnoxious. Not to mention they don't spend or tip on stage...And don't get me started on the 18 year old stripper-wannabe/diva girlfriends they bring a long...It makes a long night LONGER.

25 and up guys/gals are a lot nicer!!!

I dance in England and I find younger guys a lot more profitable than the older cliental.Especially young guys on stag do's, they probably make up 90% of our customers at work and definately more profitable (and more fun) than older men!

I have made way more money off young guys than I have from older men.
In fact I find that older men - those who do have money even are far tighter with their money than the young drunk guys who come in.

A few business type older men came to my table and i noticed one open his wallet and I saw a lot of money in there - mostly $100s and $50s. So I grabbed him after I finished and said lets go for a dance. So I take him straight to VIP - where we do our $50 dances (assuming this would not be a problem) - he hands me a $20!!!!!!!

it might just be my location, next to a college town AND an army base, but most of my money does come from the yonger guys. like jaizaine, i find the older guys are a lot tighter with their spending, and don't tip nearly as well as most of the young guys. like i said, it could be that 80% of our customers is military, 10% college, and 10% older guys.
i do notice a difference in the behaviour of the college boys v. military... military guys (for the most part) are pretty respectful that this is my JOB, and it's so cute when their right out of basic training, calling everyone "sir" and "ma'am." college boys tend to expect more bang for their buck, they figure they can get a girl to go home with them at the bars, why not at the SC? they're alot more handsy and disrespectful, bt still spend a lot of money, i just avoid them because they're more annoying than it's worth.
out of the three groups, the older guys that come in are the worst, at my club. they expect me to bend the rules just for them, do not appreciate me, and generally treat me like crap. more often than not, they're expecting full service, for TWENTY DOLLARS. no thank you.

I guess it all has to do with location....im glad some of the girls here are making good money off the yuonger crowds, i wish it was like that here......and yes unfortunely some older custi's tend to be A-HOLES,,ive had a few that ive had to deal with, that have been looking for some cheap full-serivce & not dances.....

i think it is just a combination of alll these posts AND we are getting a genteration shift. those old guys you remember are jsut that, OLD. they are retiring and a fresh generation is coming in. they are going to get old too and soon after that our kids will be having this same conversation. it is just the cycle of life. each generation found something to amuse itself in its teen years and for this generation it is strip clubs. i grew up going to the skating rink and playing sugar high air hockey, these kids are watching made for highscool soaps and coming right out of the 12th grade into a waay too adult world and making it a fun hang out. imagine what the next generation is going to be like?

I know this is an old thread, but it's so true. Especially with my club. Even though we do serve alcohol we are one of the few clubs that allows people who are under 21 in. Some of these kids are literally still in highschool. I don't understand why the club lets them in. Yeah, they have to pay a 20 dollar covercharge instead of the 5 dollars that those over 21 do, but the kids don't buy dances (with the exception of maybe one 10 dollar table dance instead of the 25 dollar lap dances, and very rarely a vip) and they can't buy drinks! The managers are always dumbfounded as to why a lot of the girls didn't make much money because the "club was packed." The managers have to understand that just because they fill the club with people who would fit in better at Chuckie Cheese doesn't equate to cash.

It's like they didn't want to stay at their mommies and play video games tonight so they decided to go to the stripclub. And they think that they will impress me because they think they are so cool, so slick, have so much game, so bad, or are so good looking, or that I will be impressed by their rap lyrics' or that they are in a "band" or whatever. Keep in mind that these are suburban and rural kids from the middle of no-where Ohio and who still live at home. They never understand why I spend time with some "old creepy dude." Please.

I can definitely sympathize-try living in a college town, it can be even worse! I wish I knew the answers...

Isn't Roe Pro-Life now?

Blayze, you could not be more right about the difference between young college boys and young military guys. I HATE college guys! They act like a bunch of misbehaved children and treat the dancers like highway trash. So many of them think they're hot shit.

The military guys, OTOH, are my favorite customers, especially the Marines. They are respectful, considerate, and polite, and genuinely appreciative of the dancers. Of course there are exceptions to every rule, but I sure hop to it every time I see a crew cut!

I'm going to be bad and post without reading much of this thread, but regarding college guys, I will say that I find the foreign students (specifically the Asian guys) who come into the club excellent customers. They are still young, but they are so respectful of me, and usually a little adorably shy. Not all, but in my experience, mostly they are a pleasure to dance for. They are gracious and spendy. My favourite!

I don't know why I get so many of these customers, but I do. Same with the younger generation of Asian 20something business guys. Really nice customers. Just for my two cents (although they are usually shocked that i go to their school too, but I assure them I am as far from business/ engineering as a student can possibly be). They respect the dance, and respect my rules without trying tiresome negotiating that I find a lot of the older, wise-to-the-clubs customers try to pull.

Actually, I'd sooner think that the older guys were more concerned about spending a late night in a club and then doing a s#!tty job at work the next day.

The younger guy trend on friday and saturday nights is really nothing new, though, in the Northeast. For years the majority of middle aged guys came to clubs mostly on weeknights. This was usually the result of business travel or after-work business entertainment. Thursday nights were usually the best night for middle aged travelling businessmen, since by thursday they had usually completed the week's business on the road and were ready to party before flying home on Friday.

As usual, Melonie has put her finger on a big issue. As the middle-aged travelling professional who seems to be the desired prey here, I can say I come only on weeknights, not weekends, and not too late. I rarely am up past midnight during the week, especially when I am on the road and need to be fresh the nest day. If I go to a club after dinner I like to be back at the hotel by 11 or 11:30. From my perspective, I am always surprised at how many dancers start the shift slowly, with little hustle, and get active only when the younger guys come trooping in at 10 or 10:30.

Foreign young guys and american young guys are completely different. My best friend is a 20 year old Swedish/African man who is extremely respectful of women. The majority of my friends have been foreign. I wish I were as lucky as you in terms of foreign customers, but we get young, rowdy, midwestern American boys who might as well been raised by wolves by their behavior. (Hence the stereotype of the "ugly American" that so many foreigners have of us.)

OH YES ill agree with you tottaly huney, if i had to pick which young guys to dance for id pick the foreigners...i wont say they tip more than the local kids but they are way more respectfull for sure!!! & that means alot to me.........everytime i hear some guy says words like ( hoe-slut-bitch ) its coming from some local american kid(s)....i was talking to a group of girls were i work about this same topic & many of them dont even go out to clubs ( on there own time) to party on weekends casue of the amount of yuong kids invading the clubs every singel weekend & i know exactly what they mean.....
