I thought of another crazy name. I used to work with a woman who went by "Viagra". Although I suppose it's more clever than bad...

OMGaw! My Mom loves country music and when I was a kid I thought Kenny Rogers was saying "four hundred children".....I thought I was the only one!

I laugh at this because my sister used to sing this song like this, " You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille.. with FOUR HUNDRED children and a COP in the field".....

It wasn't until she was older that she realized the real words "FOUR HUNGRY CHILDREN AND A CROP IN THE FIELD"

4.Poison; just name urself murder or homicide or something why don't you.

I used to frequent a club where several dancers had gotten together and chosen perfume names. It worked okay for Chanel and I think there was a Shalimar, which isn't too revolting. But honest to god, there were three dancers who called themselves Poison, Opium, and Obsession. Taken together, those are the worst dancer names I've ever encountered (worse than "Barbie Doll").

I have never cared for car names much and I was reading a review about San Fran not long ago and noticed some dancer named "hot sushi"

There's a girl I work with called Pussy Cat. she's a sweet girl, but...yeah, it's weird. And she always wears leopard print EVERYTHING.

I can't really hate too much on girls with weird stage names though, mine is Echo (read the book Echo by Francesca Lia Block and you'll understand)....and people are always making fun of it, or they think I'm saying Ethel, which is hilarious, or Etto...sigh....

In this thread, I've seen just about every possible bad name there is, but a few have not been mentioned.

Has anyone ever used, or thought of using, any of the following:
Rubella, Obscenity, Xerox, Ozarka, Maybelline (Please say no), or Fluoride?

I know these names do not show much imagination, but what do you expect from a guy who went out on Halloween wearing a pink sweatsuit with a tennis shoe taped to the top of his head? I was dressed as a piece of chewing gum.

How about these classics: Bunny, Barbie, Bambi, Blue, Orange, Exotic, Axyl,.....

I think my brother tried to declare Bambi as a dependent on his taxes last year.

Wouldn't anything ending with "i" be classic?

I'm not a dancer *yet* but from what I've seen I'd have to say any name that is
a month (may, july, october...)
a food (honey, sugar, chocolate...)
a drink (brandy, sherry, margarita...)
a flower (lilly, rose, daisy...)
or a disney character (bambi, belle, ariel, beauty...)
is probably way overdone.

Well obvious political names from history like "Stalin". Or about "Hitler", "Goering", Lenin.

If you have a heavy philosophical customer base maybe "Marx" would get guys to debate with you on economic organization.

Good names (my opinion) that nobody uses. How about Jefferson, or if you are interested in bonds and capital markets how about "Hamilton?"

I would not use "Franklin". Using the name "Sherman" in Atlanta might not be too
smart either. Its one of the few cities where in the entire country area where there is no Sherman Avenue, Street or Blvd. anywhere.

From Bullwinkle "Peabody" might be interesting.

Finally stay away from ancient history names with negatives. No nos would have to be, "Attila" "Vandal" or the like.

You could try "Templar" from the movie National Treasure. Again be prepared for long
political and relgious debates but maybe nobody remembers or has studied that period.

I thought corporate sponsorships might be a good idea, but I cannot imagine a dancer named "Sears", "Bank America", or, God forbid, "Main Street Condom Rentals".....but it was a thought.

ashamed to say this but my first dance name was Jersey. Yep...it was horrible. Was named by a girl named legacy. Vyrula(was a scary lookin chick), bubbles, chauncey(white girl), and my personal favorite...sunny. The girl had long, black hair and was super white. She was covered in tattoos and definately didn't have a "sunny" personality.

I knew a stripper who went by the handle, "Trixie". She said it was her ex's pet name for her and she wanted a constant reminder of the kind of guy not to date in future.

I also saw a stripper from down under who went by the name, "Sydney"... really easy to remember if you know much about Australia.

I am generally a member of the 'normal sounding name, please' club. I don't care if it's your real name, but it makes it much easier for me to keep a straight face when you introduce yourself.

It is not a bad name at all. Two of my ex-wives are named Hayley. I did that so I could remember what to call them.

Dagger, Sabra, Vega. Need I say more?

"Vega"? Why didn't she just use "Oldsmobile" and get it out of her system?

I think a dancer with the name "Nutcracker" might find a lot of free time on her hands.
