Well, other than CtefY i saw no other similar reasons to mine.
I started dancing because i got to the point i hated men. I 've worked all type jobs. Mainly construction and men type jobs. For 10yrs i did this. Of course, i was harassed every job i ever worked. I didn't wanna touch the ''Sexual Harassment Lawsuit'' issue. So, most jobs i just left. After being tossed around so much with layoffs and wrongful games i finally got fed up and gave in. I thought to myself, if this is what they want....this is what they'll get...[but, with a price;) ]. My first time walking in there i was like a loaded gun ready to go off. Eventually reality set in and i soon realized i didn't always have the upper hand. Every job has it's dislikes. Although, growing up i did fantasize about dancing[not topless]. But, it's helped me in some ways.

I'd always loved dancing and moving, but as for the nudity I'd always been intrigued by possibly doing nude modeling, but I didn't like the idea of little pay and someone else having the pictures. Plus the bf at the time was a negative prude about it. Then one night I got irritated with the loser at the time I was dating (thank God the next two weren't) and it spurred me to have a wild night on my own. So I checked out the local club as a possibility. I still would have done it on my own, and over a year and a half later, I'm glad I have somewhere to burn energy and show off some flair.

Two things got me into it I suppose: 1) the casualness and fun of it; and 2) the money. A friend of mine got me interested. I'm only doing it part time so it's good, as I'm at uni it allows me heaps of flexibility, I can pretty much come in when I want. I'm dancing at a no-contact club (there's only no-contact in Sydney) and I guess I'm a bit of an exhibitionist. Plus as someone else said, you get groped heaps less than if you were waitressing - I used to be a table girl at one of Sydney's biggest bars and pretty much got groped every half hour. Now I'm up on a stage and they're not allowed to touch me.;D

From reading this thread it's good to hear that everyone enjoys it so much - I was a bit worried that I was the odd one, enjoying it so much.

credit card bills, plain and simple

that is the reason I first started thinking about it a couple of years ago and found this message board. I never did try it and have since gotten a better job and am now thinking about trying it to make extra money. Sometimes I'm busy in my day job, sometimes I'm not. I also love music, dancing, and have a side to me that I think would make me good at it if I can get past my nerves and actually go do it. I'll probably be the first stripper to start when she's 40. :D

When I was in high school, me and my girl were hitch hiking a ride in this hippie type town. (4real, hitching a ride is normal in this town!) Anyways, this sexy girl picks us up in this really sweeet BMW. So I asked her if her parents bought her the car. She tells us how she dances and how she pulls in atleast $2,000 per week .. EASILY compared to most normal jobs. At the time, me and my girl were only making like $250 a week with a normal job! So, 2 years later, I started dancing at the club she worked at. ~ $$ is great & my girls are awsome. : )
