They are GREAT! Best 6,000 I ever spent! I have a feeling that this stripping thing is going to be like the surgery, really really scared b4 it happens, then once it's over with (first time I mean) it'll be like, damn! what WAS I stressing about?!

Are the scars healed? I'm not one for boob jobs, but after reading you LJ, it seems as though they are well deserved. I mean that in a good way:) Do you worry that they'll spring a leak when you lay on your chest? I've always wondered that. Also, I heard you need them "maintenanced" every 5-7 years. How big did you go BTW?

Hottie- I'm sorry about some of the responses you've gotten, as i'm very recently out of the same boat. I don't dance for the money, I dance because i'm an exhibitionist with a theatre background who can't get enough of the spotlight. Start out slow, don't run up to the old fat ones and start talking dirty in their ear, introduce yourself and have a conversation with one or two a night. I can usually find something about them at least marginally attractive, weather its a sexy accent, or green eyes, or even the fact that they like the same genre of books that i do. After a few few pleasant respectful dealings with them, you'll start to not mind as much, and its true, they are the ones who'll spend more. Fat, old, bald, it happens, and its not nessisarily in their control, so i give 'em the benefit of the doubt and try to imagine what they looked like at 19 when they were on the college football team. As far as bad hygiene and lewdness goes, forget 'em. There's no excuse for it, and you don't really need their money. I've had nights where i've hustled like hell and made a lot, and i don't feel nearly as satisfied as nights i've made less but had some really stimulating conversations with customers i find at least marginally attractive (even if they're old and fat), and felt i was presented with money as a thank you for a job well done. I doubt many of the other ladies on here would back me up, but i enjoy spending the money more, if it didn't feel like glorified begging to get it in the first place.

PS
I'll call my nether regions whatever I feel like calling them, thak you very much.
WTF? What with sounding bitchy in responses?
Usually you don't get bitchy answers when you don't ask dumb sounding questions...i'm just repeating what so many other people have said...if dancing isn't something to pay your bills...and you want to learn the "art", but don't want to deal with gross old men (Most dancers call them patrons...) then why are you here? You've obviously learned from other peoples posts on here that the odd incident does happen, and they can't really be avoided...although if you do find a club where there aren't any gross/obnoxious/rude/old men then you should definitely post it's whereabouts because all of the dancers on here will be interested in knowing.

yeah, I was teased a lot, but don't get me wrong, I did it for ME. No other reason. I love having them now, and I couldn't imagine myself w/o them. The scars are healing FAST ( I had the nipple incision ) I'm actually very pleasantly suprised by their progress. I used to be against them, but after many years (about 4-5) of long hard thought, and A LOT of reasearch, I decided I was willing to take all the risks for the greater reward. Anyway, sorry to be so rambly...
BTW I didn't ACTUALLY get to do any dancing last night. >bleck!< got myself all psyched up 4 nothin'! They told me that I was definately hired, (I'm guessing based on the fact that I'm hot... :D) but I needed to come back and work during 2 DAYs so they can see how I am w/ the customers (just because this would be my first time dancing) so I'm going back Sat. and Sun. for 2 5 hr. shifts. I'll tell you how it goes. Well better get back to work now... (office sec. by day)

So I guess I'll rephrase my question and address the all the women who really take pride in their actual talent, not just making money off the guys who pay their bills: How do you handle the unruly customers night after night while keeping a positive outlook on dancing?
well, with that question you've just alienated 99% of the girls on the board.
why do new girls keep asking about "classes" and "videos?" Don't you new girls know that 5 years ago there was no stripper web or anything like it? Most of us jumped into the business feet first like it was an ice cold pool. We learned by doing. You girls have a freakin' cake walk with us vets coming on here and giving you the real scoop and breaking everything down piece by piece.
It really sounds to me like you're not cut out for this game. Money making wise or exhibition wise.

Amen Saph.. I hear you on this one completely!
When I was a newbie.. I didn't have ANYTHING to help me out.. I worked in a nude club, and the girls were far from accomodating. It wasn't until I was working at the club for about three months before someone actually spoke to me let alone gave me any type of advice.
I had to go to other clubs to watch other girls, ask where they shopped, asked about hair stylists, shoes, etc. Try that when a girl is trying to make a buck and she's got some girl buying lap dance after lap dance just to find out how to succeed!
I hate to sound old (even though I am not )but remember the days when...
There were no videos...
There were no classes....
Girls were die hard bitches ( dumping baby oil in the slats of your locker and ruining every piece of clothing you had because of some reason or another that would never be talked about)
If you sat in the wrong spot, all your stuff would be thrown away or tossed aside in eighteen different directions...
DJ's actually had to be both bouncer and DJ at times
Manager's and housemoms were like your parents
You had to buy CD's because there were no music download programs and you'd spend $20 for a CD that had two songs if that that you liked- and God forbid you dance to some one elses stuff cause you'd be accused of stealing it.
There were no corporate strip clubs
and no one, well, maybe one person, if you were lucky would show you a pole trick or two, but it always came with a cost...
Learn by doing, and jump in.

yup no dipping your toe just plunging right in. Those old school girls were mean! Rare was the girl who had a mother hen take her under her proverbial wing.

Amen Gynger and Sapph! I remember the old days too, no these new girls come in to a club(no offense to anyone in particular) and they think they can run the whole damn place. Just 'cause they are 18 and have a body that has never had kids.... (lol this is starting to be a rant) Just 'cause they make $200 in their first night(and the vets make $400(but we don't tell that)), they think they have the right to do whatever the fuck they wanna. Oh GOD! I am so sick of it. And the hosuemom's now, they just say you a vet, try to get along with the noob, 'cause you remember wht it was like. I'm like hell ya I remember what it was like, and she's lucky that she dosen't get her shit thrown in the river. Damn that was a good rant, I feel better now. Sorry guys we had 2 new girls start last night, and they think they are "grand high poobah". Oh well, I'm at home now, must leave it at work. Must leave it at work. Must leave it at work. Anywho, yes you noobs do have it sooooooo easy, you don't even know.

Just curious...
This is EXACTLY how I DO NOT want to come off when I start at my club on Saturday. I feel like, if I act how I'll feel, I'll be stand-offish and my initial shyness may come off as bitchyness. I was thinking of taking on a similar attitude like: I can do this, I'm not new, been doin' it all my life BFD. Whateva... Just as a "nerve killing" stratagey so I could loosen up and have fun...
But at the same time I was like: I don't want the "olbies" :D to think I'm a cocky little know-it-all.
If you could control it, (which you can in a way 'cause I'll take your advise ;D) how would you have a new girl act?

now we're getting way off topic so I feel this calls for a new thread, one I've been wanting to start and which I'll start right now...
