so...deogol...how about those book titles...if you don't remember them...can you at least point me in the right direction?...i need some help here...

that is unless you were just joking around...and your whole story was just that...a story...that would suck...and be very uncool...if you were playing games that is...'cause i'm not joking...all of this is for real...even my thoughts of suicide...

No games - it's the forth, hon!

The first book that really had an effect on me, one that I remember well is "Swim with the sharks without being eaten alive."

I subscribed to Forbes for a bit, but it was mostly "wouldn't you like this product if you were rich" which I wasn't and there was no "how to" in that magazine. More about dudes who did it. I ended the subscription. I found it to be a waste of money.

Wall Street Journal. Same thing. Just a bunch of bullshit. They tell ya information after the thing happened and that is pretty useless unless you have some organization to get going on something like lightning.

Another one that really intrigues me "Leadership is an Art" by Max Dupree. This is a short read, but he makes every word count. This one is going down in history as "How to win friends and influence people."

That is another book I would suggest. Dale Carnigie's "How to win friends and influence people" is quite a read - it is a big f'in book - but one can jump around in it so it is not like a cover to cover read.

Another one is "What color is your parachute?" Even if your not looking for a job, this is a pretty good book to help you figure out what you have to offer. It is not all just a diploma.

(As an aside, I write what's called an E-Zine that I publish in PDF format and send out to subscribers for free. I put what I think are pretty darn good articles in it because I know that it get's passed around. I have over one thousand subscribers to it now - which means probably a leadin to 500+ companies when I go job hunting. That is when I recognize the value - it landed me a $75K contract once and I figured that made it all worth it.)

You should pick up something on marketing. I don't remember anything that stands out (kinda ironic for the subject ain't it?) But it is good to know.

And now one of the MOST important books I think I have read is "The millionaire next door." This puts to the grave all the bullshit conjured up by hollywood types with "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" and various media images of who the rich really are. I remember one story about a janitor at GM who was just careful with his money (not buying those 40's) and slowly built up quite the portfolio of blue chip stocks.

Another one is "Rich Dad, Poor Dad." It puts to rest some of the myths and fables about success in America. For example, the poor dad thought that education was important - but the rich dad pointed out what you needed to learn! It is a very simple book, but luckily the basic concepts are simple. It is a REALLY GOOD BOOK. For example, a lot of doctors and lawyers and such are well educated, but they are not rich. They are not wealthy.

I also read sales books. In the end, one has to sell something to someone to get them to open up that wallet.

I am a bit of a book worm, especially when I think the contents might make me a buck. So I have a bunch of em (but they are stored away now.) Sometimes I find one paragraph in a book that gives me the "ah ha!" feeling.

I also read biographies. Like Lee Iococca's biography. He had a bit of a fuckwad for a boss at Ford. If I remember right, I think he got fired from Ford and landed at Chrysler. Boy ain't that a sweet revenge when he brought Chrysler to the point were they bought Lamborghini!

I also read Ross Perot's biography.

You don't have to agree with them, or with how they did things. It is just to start stirring up ideas and to better understand obsticles and oppurtunities.

I'm so glad that everyone can read my mind..... you should be psychics. The post was directed at NOONE. Did I read any names there? Ummm, I was a little fed up at the fact that I had to hear customers bullshit me all night, telling me wild stories. It's like, why do they think I will believe that bullshit??? If they want to make a fool out of someone, I don't want it to be me. Trust me, if you think you can get inside my head, Nada, not even, never, so don't even try it.

I come to this site to escape gossip and drama. Big mistake to think that is going to happen. Plus, the fact that people talk about you and think differently of you based on something someone said about you, OMG. Stupid. And without even hearing your side of things, amazing. I have no faith in the human race. And, people dissecting my post, then imagining what they THINK it means, then making an opinion on me based on that. Then deciding not to hang out with me based on what they THINK my post means.... fucking wow! I'm just amazed. I said what I said, if you wanna IMAGINE what it meant, be my guest, Nostradamus. lol.

btw, it WAS nice meeting all of you, and I had a good time. It would've been more fun had I been less tired. :) I was just playing about the nuns and all that shit, so don't get your panties in a wad. lol.
