^^ that's what happened to me. I initially got days and 2:30am (at 5'8" and 118lbs.. Give me a fucking break), but after a couple if weeks I got swapped to nights. Ironically, I always made killer money on day shift. I'd waltz in around 3pm, leave around 8pm totally happy with my take. I'd say I was making $6k a week on days (I always worked five day weeks) before that shitty crash happened summer of '09. Things got bad real quick. Glad to hear they're better.

Night shift was very average for me. Lots of groups there to "see and be seen", and the wait for VIP was a bitch. 30-40mins to do a 3 for $100?? Thanks but no thanks. And that half hour semi private VIP area made me feel packed in like a sardine. Lots of the girls on nights all look like the bitches on Rock of Love Bus (and quite a few of them were actually on that garbage). I was there two years and I had three girls who were actually friendly. I'm not asking for BFF status but damn. The competition, sharking, and icy attitudes were weak. I found camaraderie to be obsolete.

I will agree the hosts were nice (especially Todd, my favourite!), but the security standards if your client is honestly a friend of management is deplorable. One of my girl friends was seriously assaulted by a friend of a certain unnamed manager and it was shrugged off.

(cont due to phone)

The hustle in LV is very different. I went there as a 6 year veteran and for the first little bit I honestly wondered what I got myself into. It's really difficult to get into the swing of thngs, which is why when girls tell me they want to travel there for a week and have never been I tell them not to waste their time. Of all the clubs I worked in LV (Palomino, Rhino, Seamless, BadaBing) I found Rhino the most arduous even though it became my LV "home club".

I guess the long as the short of it is this: If you have time to learn the hustle, have a very thick skin, impenetrable self confidence, know when to stay out of things, and don't expect to make friends, this club is average to good LV money. My info is a little out of date though (07-09), so things may be different now.

Personally, I think Atlanta and New Orleans are better travel destinations and more consistent.

I'd rather eat a bowl of wet glass than work at Rhino again.

I worked the 9 pm shift at the Rhino in Vegas, I was one of two girls that John Christou (the GM) hired out of about 15. Neither of us had fake boobs. MANNNNN John can be an asshole! Thank God he was always nice to me! I really stayed under the radar though, and was very cordial and polite, not over the top kissing his ass. Towards the end, he took me to a few tables. He is all business, if you can make it at this club you can pretty much make it anywhere. The Spearmint Rhino in Vegas is the number one strip club in the World, and getting hired for the night shift by John is a huge accomplishment, IMO. Ironically, the SR in Dallas turned me away, saying I wasn't "dancer material". I think the manager, Ross, said something like, "Sweetheart, this is showbiz, I'm not going to sugar coat anything for you. You are just not dancer material, you don't have the look for this club." I was floored......

Ross is a troll anyway. No one cares about his opinion here. Just ask for Adrian if you ever want to try it again.

I would work there.... but there is a scary girl there that I know from several other clubs that I would rather avoid...... I was in there as a customer last week and it actually seemed like it has improved.

One of my regulars at the Detroit club I work at claims I'll make at least a grand a night at the Rhino... he actually goes to Vegas a lot and is buddies with one of the managers there, but I don't know which one. It'd be nice if it were John... so my regular thinks I'd definitely get hired there but after hearing this, I'm a little weary. I think I'd do the Vegas hustle just fine, I'm a hustler and I have thick skin in this business... but I don't have huge/fake boobs, they're natural B's. My nipples are also pierced and idk if this John guy would like it. I'm 5'2'' and 105 lbs, tan (mixed, black, white and Native American which is great because my custos are always intrigued about what my ethnicity is)... so I have the whole beautiful, cute, petite look going, but I'm not a blonde barbie... ehhh.

Hey to the lady who said New Orleans was a better travel destination than Vegas, any more info on that? Over winter break me and a girlfriend are planning a trip to dance somewhere for a few weeks but I want to find a city where I'll completely bank.

Rhino is tough right now. At least a $1,000 a night? Go ahead and try but you'll quickly fnd that that's far from the truth.

I know lots of customers make know-it-all statements about the business, but I thought we knew by now not to believe them.

This is standard SR practices. All new girls are required to start out on day shifts for one month- then they move them to nights. However, depending on the managers in the club, some will let you work their night shift if you continue to work your regular day shift as well.

hmmm well i went there friday afternoon like 3pm ish, and the door guys told me to come back around 9 pm and to bring bikini etc....so i came back at 9 and met john....and started work that night; then got my schedule which was night shift...~

ok i'm sure ya'lll know that the chics who make big $$$ at any vegas club esp rhino are doing extras...and if u tell/mention to the manager or whoever that u willing to/want to make alot of $ he will hook it up w VIPS etc and that's how/when the girls make lota $ by sucking or fucking and don't get all offended and defensive and say "oh that shit ain't true" or "oh just cuz u didn't make alot of $...." etc

To Nina_ : Rhino does not allow face or nipple jewelry to be worn. I would take them out before you go in for your audition, it can only help. I have a tiny nose ring and they asked me to remove it.

$1000 a night??? Maybe ten years ago. Most girls aren't making that kind of money anywhere much less Vegas. Vegas is not the goldmine it once was. Because it's overcrowded with girls.
I tried Vegas all summer, and I make more money other places without the hassle. It was an overall good experience not financially. But, I had always wondered if the $1000 nights were true and they aren't so now I know lol!

I work at the rhino, and unless you get lucky, or have excellent timing, or do extra's, ur not making $1000.00 a night. Last night there was 280 girls, and i'd say over 50% barely made their house fee's back. 10 of my girls, including me didn't have one dance at midnight, and we all got there between 8-10.

I think I'd hate to work at the Rhino... when there's that many girls I'd just get overwhelmed with it all. I can see girls there easily pulling 1K on a good night but I can also see it being pretty tough to make money especially in rough economic times.

On another note, the girls at my club who have been to Vegas all claim they made a thousand a night there so it seems to spectacular but maybe they're lying, who knows?

Stripper earnings are like penis sizes. Sometimes you're pleasantly surprised, but usually they're often exaggerated -_-

I was there too and can confirm this. I worked Wednesday, Thursday and Friday so far this week, and all were awful. The VIP rooms were dead zones.

if that were true, wouldn't they be flying out all the time? I've been working at SR for awhile now and $1000 nights happen, but they are not the norm, or that common. I have waaaaaaaaaay more $100 nights. Obviously I make a decent living, but I wouldn't fly out here for this. I'd have to make $1000/night just to give up sleeping in my bed, my life at home, my dogs, etc....not to mention the added expense. It's just not realistic. But we've been saying this forever and the same question keeps popping up. Let me make this clear. the guys here are from all over the country (well, world) including where you're from. They aren't special magical guys throwing around large amounts of money!

I'm a little confused though. First it was your customer saying it was an easy grand, now it's your friends?

I've heard several girls I dance with claiming that when they made their trip to Vegas, they made $1000 a night. They didn't tell me where they worked. To me it sounds like SR has too many girls for me to be compelled to go there. I've heard this 1000 a night thing from more than one girl. Like I said, maybe they were exaggerating, or maybe they just picked the right club at the right time, I don't know.

Anyway, because of hearing that hype, I was thinking about giving Vegas a try so I asked one of my regulars about it and HE said I'll make 1-2k a night. I only asked him because he flies out to Vegas once a month or so.

I WISH THIS VIDEO COULD BE A STICKY!

The video below regarding Vegas was posted in another thread a while ago. Depressing. I believe this report was from 2009 and it's much worse in 2011. One dancer said that two years prior (2007) she would make $400 on a bad night, now (year of video 2009) a lot of nights she makes $150. Income is much worse in 2011 than than at the time of the video. It's difficult many nights to even make house fee back. As others have mentioned, there are still the occassional decent nights, however that is definitely not the norm.

Those thinking of Vegas...beware.

I think nightly earnings stories are like fishing stories. You may have caught a minnow but you tell everyone you snagged a whale. I encourage anyone to try out the Rhino, just so you can see that the same kind of hustle in most any other clubs would make you much better money. Oh yeah and everyone wants to be able to say they got hired for the 8 or 9pm shift by John - that part is kind of cool since it seems that is the current barometer by which we measure our hotness.

I agree with a poster who said that to really earn $$$ here you have to work here consistently. It's a hustle that cannot be mastered in one weekend. For me it took moving here (two weeks now) and I don't even go to the Rhino, I work at OG's. How am I doing? Well, like many girls there are good and bad nights but there have not been any $1000 nights yet and I work HARD.

Some girls now do outcall escorting in addition to dancing, with customers they meet in the club. Customers ask about it constantly so it's no big stretch. You don't have to agree with it or like it, but it's what's really happening because money from dancing alone is just crap compared to "the old days", meaning 4 to 5 years ago (consistently).

I just can't wait for "season" to begin again in Jan. It will be my first one.

I still ask if Vegas is down the shitter, why do girls still fly there to work? I would lose my mind.

That is exactly how I felt when I was driving up here from Tucson to work. After factoring in hotel, food, gas, etc. I was barely more than breaking even. Now that I live here it's better because I'm more familiar with the way things work and I am not so stressed out all the time.

Because they believe the hype, plain and simple.
