Yeah, I can't wear the gothic makeup look that I love so much. I think it scares people--they're afraid I will bite them or something.}:D But they really should not flatter themselves that way. I've done the darker makeup before, and one guy complained that I looked like the Rocky Horror Picture Show--but that's some cool makeup, to me. But not to the masses, soooo...fresh-faced for me.

I don't know about how much makeup should be applied on, but I say work with whatever looks good in the lighting for you. Like if the lights are too dark, then I guess wear more so your features can be noticed, but if the lights are bright then there's no need to put alot if you don't want. But IMHO, I do think that glamorous looking makeup should be done at a strip club, you're suppose to look like a sex kitten....not like a regular girl you see during the day. ;) But hey, to each their own....whatever works for you & makes you happy. :)
BTW, forgot to add: Don't take this the wrong way but... do not worry about others, worry about yourself. Who cares if the other chic is natural or caked? It's not you, don't worry about it. ;)

I waer a lot of make up in the club, concealer, lashes, shadow, liner the works. The trick is you can apply a lot of make up without it looking caked on, you just have to know how. Come on, how much make up do actors and models have to wear to get the "natural look"? Just be tasteful

I usually wear what I feel is a ton of makeup at work. Concealer, foundation, bronzer, shadow, liner, lashes - the works. I think I've become somewhat of an expert over the years, because I've gotten quite a few "I love that you dont cake your makeup on" or "I love that you look so natural" - comments from customers...if they only knew.;D

I agree Foxee! I wear a whole lot, but even dancers tell me I don't wear that much when I complain about it...
All I can say is use the right make-up remover or your screwed!

i don't wear any presently, but i work somewhere pretty dimly lit (except in vip, oddly enough), and i'm doing better than i've ever done, since i can rush in and hit the floor pretty much instantly. i started out wearing some, but it always sweated off from stage, so i scaled back to powder and then just gave it up. if i ever learn to put it on properly, i'll definitely resume. but that's likely a few months away as yet.

I guess it does matter on your attitude also, because sometimes I feel that I look really good with a lot of make up and there are times where I think i look even hotter without much makeup on. But if you know how to apply it without going overboard then makeup probably makes the job a little better. Different styles for different guys though.
In my opinion, when men come to a strip club, they're looking to have their fantasies fulfilled in one way or another. Most men have never had a truly beautiful woman sit and talk to them like they are the only two people in the room. They don't want(?) us to look like the random women they pass on the streets every day, or they would probably stay at home. I believe that when you work in the sex industry (to whatever degree), you should look....and feel...very sexy. The "sex kitten" look works for me, it's what makes me feel sexy, but do what makes You feel sexy. When you feel beautiful, you are.

I put more make up. But basically a finished look. Sometimes my skin looks great and foundation would be overkill you know

As a customer, I am not a big fan of huge amounts of make-up. While I don't mind nicely done eyeliner, lipstick, etc., I am generally turned off by foundation and other more extensive applications. It's like any form of stage craft--it may look good from a distance, but when I am talking to a dancer one-on-one and deciding whether to buy a dance, a more natural look always looks best to me. I definitely do not like the "caked-on" look--the girl next door look is perfect.::)
Interestingly enough, the last time my wife and I were in a club she was complimented for her make-up :) , when in fact she was wearing virtually none (just some light eyeliner and lipstick). Not sure what that means...but... She also came home that evening and noticed foundation all over her nice white shirt from a recent LD. So I suppose that is another issue.
My two cents as a customer....

i have noticed on several occasions i did very well without heavily applied makeup. ie, very simple and natural looking. (concealer, powder , bronzer, lipliner, gloss, mascara)
Men have even commented on how they like that i just look like me, and not some fake looking made up barbie.
no offence, but they want to see you, not makeup.

PS.
We have a makeup artist at our club. i have used her a few times, and hated the way she made me up. i felt like i was hiding behind a wall of plaster. it irritated my skin and i ended up washing it off and doing it over myself. (i was upset that i had to tip her $20. to make me look crappy)

I would have to say that a person who is distinctively makeupped makes less money, and im talking about the girls who wear "too much" makeup... and always retouch it... i htink that, to customers, it appears that those without a lot of makeup are the honest ones, the ones who aren't hiding behind a ton of makeup... but that's just my opinion and what works for me! :)

I do better when I'm wearing makeup. I don't cake it on though, just even everything out and do eyeliner, lipstick, eyeshadow. Some people don't think I have any on.

I thought I was the only one who doent wear a lot of make-up at work. I have very sensetive skin that breaks out very easily (it sucks). But Ive always liked how the others girls looked with make-up on.Ive always felt to sweet/innocent looking with no foundation on. But the custies always comment that they like the fact that they can see the real me or thats at least what the custies say.

i wear a lot of makeup, but i have dark hair & very pale skin. i wear deep red lipstick (light makes me look washed out) and blend together eyeshadows of a certain color (different shades of purple or green, for example). i have a punk look, so this works for me. i used to wear lighter stuff, but it doesnt show up good in the dark club.
