Hey - last thing I'm trying to do is get into a stupid arguement with you too, I'm just thourght you were interested. I'm just telling you what I know based on what I've read and what I've seen. I'm not trying to have a go at you by any means - what's the point in that?!
Most Doctors do get 'rewards' from the Drug and Chemical companies they support, (Monetry payments, holidays, various other perks.) - that's a reasonably well known fact. I wasn't suggesting that Dr Fumento is doing anything out of the ordinary. Even my best friend used to get free stuff - trips, meals, free concerts, make-up... and she was just an assistant in a Chemist. Dr's who go against the grain tend to pay quite severely for it. One thing I don't do is make crap up simply to back up my own statements or just because I don't agree with something. That would truely be pathetic!
If you keep tabs on any medical journal for a length of time you will find that there are many articles which contradict each other or have different findings. That's what I meant by Dr Fumento being selective.
This can be due to who funds the different studies, or due to the different lengths of time the studies took place or due to the way people are excluded from the studies, ie. quite often if a person / persons die from using Product X being studied they no longer take any of these peoples results into consideration for the final outcome of the study, and so on. This is standard practice.
I wasn't implying that you were sick or mean either!!!!

Debate is certainly healthy IF we can keep it from getting personal.

Citing health information is great - good and bad - what we need to do is appreciate each view and not be offended or slighted if one persons view conflicts with our own. Especially when neither party did any of the studies themselves - we are just posting what OTHERS have found or not found in any case or exampling of a particular study or such.

My particular is that I am fine, and everyone I know is fine, and I realize that others are not. Not to say I am an anomoly I KNOW I am not - and neither are the cases whereas women are challenged with health complications with links to implants.

Just like religion you cant force your belief on anyone and its best to provide the info and let anyone do what they will with it - or NOT.

Its wonderful that opposing views come into play because it leads to more research speculation and study...no? ALL good things,

I read a quote somewhere: if we all sang the same note - there wouldnt be any harmony....

I know it can be difficult if someone poo-poos your statements, but that is everyones right, to do so. Posting any info has the possibility of that exact thing happening these are the chances you take when you step up to post anything on a public board.

As long as the replies or comments proceeding dont attack those that made the statement...it can be hard to keep that distance - or keep from feeling personally attacked as it was your information that is or was being attacked but try to keep perspective this is YOUR truth as YOU know it - and not only you but everyone has that same right.

Along with that right is to decide what is best for you - no one else.

Continue the share the info - its vital to everyone, keeping perspective and remember that providing such info should not be the same as a crusade to get everyone on your or anyone else's bandwagon.

I for one have had no problem with my implants (oh and someone asked me how long I had em? since 1989 & saline) but I still come in this thread to peruse the countering info - I appreciate the info even if it doesnt apply to me in particular...I respect the efforts to post any and all views about the whole subject and well isnt that what its all about?

Aussie I LOVE reading your posts, I'm reading stuff on siliconholocaust right now. Anyway I don't have implants, I have friends that do. But it's always been in the back of my mind IF I have kid I would probably consider it. But I've read in some articles that some doctors reccomend to get implants before they have children, I can't see why, if I find the link I'll post it.

thank you! but all I was really trying to do is lend perspective...it is sooooo hard to have an opinion that may not reflect others experience or research -

the ability to remain unruffled when it gets personal is truly the most difficult part - I got into a couple 'on board' scuffles with the "prostitution in the club" set - I just couldnt wrap my head around people that thought it was ok! Males well, ahem but girls that DO it vehemently arguing in defense! Oh that one is off the charts I remember on girl actually posting she loved to french kiss her customers to enhance their experience in the strip club while jacking them off - WTF? Now I refuse to particiapte with those discussions - its beneath me.
Once the discussion hits that lower level - I am out.

No matter the danger of disease no matter the reflection on the entire dance industry no matter the damn legalities they were fighting tooth and nail for it -

And again ANOTHER quote I read somewhere....dont argue with an idiot they beat you with experience every time LOL!!!

Best one can do is lay it out and stroll off.

Well thats my gist on it anyway. Or I stay out of those threads.

Blue in the face, yup till you're blue in the face...aint worth it if they just dont have the cerebral matter to get down with it.

I' m getting implants in ten days. I have never heard of any of my fifty friends that have gotten implants of any mold whatsoever. My doctor also explained to me that if your getting selene implants that they are completely covered for life. If anything happens with them at all for life he's going to replace them for free!
