on average...well I would say probably about 175 average per night - but I do MUCH better on weekdays for some reason...but like mercedez said, compared to what some people make, that is their entire paycheck. especially in this college town where employers get away with making students do shit jobs for little pay (if one of us turns down the minimum wage offer, one of the other 50,000 college students in the area will surely take it) I really don't need that much to survive on so yea..someone make me do my hw now!

Okay, update....

My best night now that I know what I'm doing has been $1350 in 5 hours. (walk w/$1000)

Average split shift is $650 (walk w $500, about 8-9 hours).

Damn, I look at what I FIRST wrote on here.... 150-200??! I think I'd CRY! :weeping:

I think it's mostly because of the day/split shift...

The day regs. are loaded I'll get more then one day reg. that'll spend 300+ on me in an hour or so.

Then, if you work into the evening, you get to benefit from the "i wanna miss rush hour traffic" men, and some of the early evening regs. all in all... not too shabby!

you know the attitude you have while working makes a huge diffrence! There has been some nights lately where I made $200. before tip out and looking back on the evening I had a really bad attitude with everyone.

well ladies,
I made an average of 20-30$ a night after 20$ house fee in the past two weeks...
Full contact, t-backs. In the end, it's not worth it
Im thinking of working a regular job. I ve been dancing for 3 years, and Ive seen my money go downhill (here in daytona) since.

where i live, 1000 a month is enough to live on and have fun on weekends. i make about 1200 a month and do just fine for myself. i hear some dancers around here complain that they only make about 80-150 a night, but they work 4 nights a week. that averages to 400 a week or 1600 a month. even after taxes, which they dont declare all of it, they still bring home more than me and i work 16-20 hours a week more than they do.

im not trying to be an asshole, but the dancers here make a killing with the low cost of living. it kinda irks me when i hear them complain that they only pulled in 200 on a single shift. i can totaly understand how 200 a shift would be crap if it were a larger area though.

btw, lap dances are 40-60 bucks here with the champaign room being 100.

How the heck are dances $40-60 and dancers averaging $80-150 per night? that's two dances!

i regularly make less than 150 a night when I dance. An average night is probably around 75 for me. As long as you're enjoying what you're doing, the money doesn't matter that much. We'd all like to have more, but 75 bucks dancing beats 50 bucks at McDonald's. Period.

This job is tough. You put up with guys teasing, belittling, degrading and objectifying us....and that's just the management!

But, the thing is YOUR NAKED for most or part of your stage show or with a customer. Also, where it is normal to do extras and spend more than 4 hours on your feet 75-100 may not be worth it to some girls.

It is not that I live in a less occupied part of the country it is just that the cost of living here is cheap compared with other parts of the country. The cost of living is much lower than much of the northeast and west coast.

Ok.please dont think im insulting you or flamming you.
niether is my intention.
Just tossin chit out there for forum discussion.

Your making far less then market value,in almost every united states market, for what your doing.
some could say your undercutting the market and costing the average girl money.(im not,but i can understand the argument)

I can see your point about doing what you love,we are both paddling in the same boat,i cant belive i get paid for what i do!
Next thing ya know, with my luck,Stripper web is gonna start paying me per post!!!

I dont care what state your in,this forum can help you get into a club that will allow you to do what you love,at about 5-10 times the amount.
I have no doubt, doesnt matter where you are, someone here can help.(to include lil ole me)
Its just my opinion, but anyone who wouldnt do that falls into the reasons i suggested at the beginning of the post as to why some cant.(not refferring to you but entertainers in general)

I dont think its "crazy" I think there is a explainable reason behind averaging 100-200 a night or less, every night, all the time.

What changed? Why... EVERYTHING! The quality of my outfits, the height of my shoes, the way I greet the customers (big fat hugs, hangin' on 'em a bit or thowing my legs over theirs...) I look ppl right in the eyes when I'm talking to them.

Onstage, I like to get a little silly, so the guys think I'm having a blast up there. I pick songs that grab attention, I now inorporate my audience into my stage show, sit/ crawl along the tip rail....

If/when I touch myself, I make it seem really, HOT, like I can't get enough of myself.

There's more but you get the idea...

I also have some high rollin' regulars now that've dubbed me their "Gia pet" ;D

No offense taken. I understand where you're coming from. First, I'm a guy dancer--the demand is lower (and so is the pay) for us. Second, I mainly dance for fun on amatuer night. I probably make much less than the average guy dancer.

Even so, I think that the average guy dancing in a club makes 100 to 200. There are some really bad nights (think 15 bucks for the whole night). If you include them in the average, things go down quick. The typical night might be more like 175. But for every good night, there's a slow one.

gradstudent guy I dont know where you live but there is a male sc in philly that is only open on thurs fri and sat nights and i would think that they make alot of money there. Because it is so packed in there that you cant move and sometimes its even sold out to where no one else can come in for the rest of the night. Try to check out some other places if there are any

For myself, I'm not happy in tiny towns and I'm certainly not happy making less than $200/shift. So I go where I'm happy and can make what I'm comfy with. Other girls who aren't cool with moving / travelling around have to make the best of what's in their area. It's all a choice, and that's really the best part of dancing - ultimately WE get to make the choice. :)

are you in Baltimore now? I am in Baltimore, looking for a place to work. I worked on the block before, but it was a pain to get a job since i am black and beautiful! Can you suggest any places where i would earn $200 a shift? Thanx!!!

well i was there before and it was okay. i made $150 to $300 a night, but other girls made more because they were caucasian. at most places, i was the only black girl. also, there is a larry flynt's hustler club there. and scores is opening. i am wondering if i would do well there.

When I lived in Maryland I made 700-800 consistently, weekdays. And on the weekends, I usually 700-1100 depending on the crowd. This is with no lap dancing, no VIP, strictly stage dancing. Now I am in California and the money is horrible. I usually make 200-450 working in a very high mileage club. :O And, it is way more expensive to live here.

honeygirl: thanks for the input. i was in Pasadena, CA to go to school last year. i tried spearmint rhino twice, then went to another one as a waitress and didn't get hired. i am sure it was either because i was black or that i put my actual age on the form. i am 32. usually they don't even let you past the entrance if you are 26 or older! after a few weeks of doing the song and dance for other places, i got two jobs and just went to school. i did my internship in Paris and now i am in Baltimore trying to scrape some money together.

Achick, I know lots about MD/ DC area clubs. Some clubs were mini gold mines three years ago, now it's so-so. But, a girl with the right attitude (think POSITIVE) can make lots of $$$. I noticed many of the older dancers made considerable more than me, you need a niche..............pm me if you want details.;)

02-22-2005, 11:16 PM
Okay, achick. I don't think you are not making money because you are black. I think it's because of your attitude. Sure, there are lots of racist people, but thankfully, there are way more that love black women. How well did those other girls at the Baltimore club hustle? In southern CA, black girls make so much money--like $800 on average per night. If you have one of those "this and that happens to me only because I'm black" attitudes, it puts a negative cloud over everything and makes it all seem like an ethnicity thing. Is that your pic in the avatar? If it is, it's definitely your attitude, not your color. It can be hard, but try a more positive outlook. You will be amazed at how things can turn around, and how you can soon discover that it had nothing to do with your looks.

OK gang, it has been six months since this thread was first posted. To paraphrase what John Kerry said in his campaign, are you better off today (nightly earnings wise) than you were six months ago ? Living in the northeast, I can say that club earnings around here are DEFINITELY lower now - however a lot of that has to do with seasonality.

i am, sort of. around that time i switched clubs and immediately started making more money per shift, but it stabilised pretty quickly. since then, i am making a little more per hour than when i first started at this club, but not significantly more. i don't know how to feel about that. i guess i should be glad that i can earn steady money no matter what day it is (but i make more than 200$/shift averagely). but i'm increasingly feeling that i haven't tried hard enough to maximise my stripper-potential, so i'll probably try travelling to work again and see if that pans out this time. i'd hope others are doing better or have at least achieved steady regular income also.

The late fall and winter months, even into spring the weather here in the midwest (Chicago for me) really can suck, factor in people with less disposable income due to inflation, the crazy taxes here in Chicagoland and the price of gas, not too mention the never ending sell out of good jobs to outsourcing overseas, and it's no wonder earnings are WAY down...talk to other service industry people, and at least around Chicago, other than the big shows that come to town this time of year late fall-spring, there isn't a whole lot going on and earnings are crappy...then they pick back up in the late spring when stuff gets nice again...I noticed the same trend in AZ, when we lived there, particularly after 9/11 and the Christmas season that follwed, I was still dancing then and there was absolutely ZERO money...let's face it, these are rotten economic time despite what the media and the gov try to brainwash us to the contrary...I say be happy with who you are and what you're doing...if 100-200 a night keeps you happy, then fine...if it's more or much more as it is for some that will keep you happy, then go for it with all you've got...in whatever way will keep you happy...

so far as different costs in different areas, this IMHO is soooooooo subjective and based on too mnay factors to list here...for example, I/we have lived in or have reliable sources in...several different areas of the country, and the nutty part is that around all big cities, for the most part they are just flat out expensive...but within the area around those cities, it's been my experinece that it varies greatly from what part of town or burb you are in...now NYC and SanFran are simply nuts IMHO as is Honolulu...then you have Chicago and LA are basically nuts, just not as bad as those mentioned, and the other "major" cities come in close behind, but have a wierd way of evening out if housing and taxes (although IMHO these are too high evrywhere) are less, then wages are depressed, if wages are nice and seem good, then the cost of living is waay outta whack like SanFran, NYC, Chicago, etc...I/we live about an hour west outiside the city in a nice burb, but by no means one of the top burbs, or wealthy areas, and you are hard pressed to find a 1500sf townhome for less than 205,000 or more, depending upon area and subdivision, much more...single family homes are simply outrageous...gas hanging around 1.85-2.00 for 87 octane, and there is talk of raising our state income tax...okay I'm rambling, but your own happiness and tastes also dictate what your cost of living is...if we were happy in a 2 bedroom trailer west of here, we could rent/own that for like 400-500 a month...drive a crappy used car etc...it just all depends on what YOU want and what will make YOU happy in life...me I'm, headng back to dancing after a few years off since I want the money to help responsibly relocate to AZ again, since I really do not like living in ILL...and lucky for me my guy will live wherever I want since he can move/do his business anywhere...

On some average nights I'd make 150-250. There were some nights I walked out with close to 600. I still haven't figured out what it is..lol. The lapdances def. gave you a boost...but I made most of my money on stage, so who knows

On a "shitty" day I make between $100-$200, on a "good" day more like $400-$500. A great day? More like $700. But I think I live in a location where the weather is good ( so driving in bad weather won't keep em away) and it is one of the nicer clubs in town(attracts an upscale clientele).
But I hustle too. Even if there are only a few customers around. It only takes one person to make your night! If it is crowded I'll only sit with someone for 2-3 songs, and when I ask someone "Would you like me to take you over there to the couch so I can have my way with you?" I expect a "yes". ( I have learned that when I ask a customer if they want a dance and expect them to say "yes", then that is what usually happens. I have no idea why.) I don't know, it has helped me...perhaps it will help you too. :)
Also...$100 a day isn't so bad when you think in relative terms. When I waited tables I'd have to bust my ass for $100. Now I don''t have to work very hard for it. And you'd better believe that I am VERY thankful!!!
God luck my dear. Now git out there and hustle! ;)

I have been working in the seattle area this past year and its the worst out of the 6 states and 15+ clubs I have worked in . I traveled to Portland with some girlfriends and I made a killing in comparrison . I plan on going back soon , 300 in five hours just in stage tips in pretty damn good for a thrusday . I am sorry that you aren't making money that really sucks . I know that yousaid that you don't want to travel but its clear that you are stuck in those ruts that we get in whe we stay one place to long . There definetly are alot of clubs inthe area to chose from , have you tried working in a less classy place smoewhere where you are the best looking girl by far ?? The north west is not very great for our business thats why I m planning on mvoing back to the East coast asap . Good luck anyways .

Well 6mo update. I have went from the $300-$500 a night back sown to the $150-$200 a night. And it sucks!!!!! Add to that, the construction going on right now in "our" parking lot, and the local scandal and the money is bad for all the girls. So that's why starting Tuesday, I'm going on a little road trip till things settle a bit.
