Frankly, guys shouldn't even be in a SC if they are broke. They need to be getting the bills paid.

ding ding ding ! we have a winner folks !

Maybe he just went to the club to have a beer before going home.Tip a few girls and have a little conversation.Maybe the cost of cover,a beer and a few bucks on stage is all he can afford to spend on that visit?

and there's nothing wrong with that, but if he doesn't at least tip some of the dancers then thats a differnt story.

The idea of making the customer pay for two dances upfront is counterproductive to all participants. Besides the fact it would result in fewer customers, the customer might be pounced on immediately upon entering the club by eager dancers wanting to be first in line to collect their tokens making for an uncomfortable atmosphere for the customer. A dancer with low self-esteem issues might have her confidence further eroded if to many customers turn her down, especially since they have to get a dance. Also, the dancer would probably not like her cut after the house takes their percentage out of the token.

I have no problem with raising the entry fee to try to elicit the customer base you are interested in but you have to have the talent once inside to back up the price of admission or will lose those customers. (One club I go to recently raised the price of admission, but set a lower price for groups or bachelor parties. You will now find young men waiting outside the club trying to get enough guys together to enter as a group). Having a membership or paid V.I.P. area within the club is also an excellent way to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Personally I think the fodder found in the club is helpful, it helps provide atmosphere, as no man likes to be alone or next to alone in a club, and it help me look more generous.

OK, time for me to give my 2 cents, or maybe 3! I am stating a disclaimer, since this is already a 5 page thread, I may have missed a point or 2, as I do not have the attention span to read everything thoroughly!

Alot of things depend on where you are and the type of club u are in. I always mention NJ, cuz we are unique here, in that the bar stools are around a big stage, and you have no place else to sit, but the stage. So you have an assembly line of dancers, just going around the bar just for tips. And it is very annoying when the same dancer comes around 3-4 times. We do not have the tip rail type stuff that other parts of the country have. So if I do not tip everyone. Just look at the math, 20 dancers a nite, some going around 3-4 times a set. And that doesn't include drinks and lap dances.

Regarding guys who don't tip or buy dances. Move on and smile at the next guy waiting in line. Don't take one or five rejections personally, just move to the next one. Easier said than done, but with practice, it gets more automatic!

I think part of the problem here girls is that a lot of customers have trouble grasping the concept that when they go to a SC, the dancers and the club are two different operations. As far as those guys are concerned, the money came out of their pocket, therefore where it goes afterwards is an irrelevant matter. As far as your club taking corrective action to make sure you get money spent on you, Katrine stated it best:

2-dance minimum is not a good idea nor will it ever happen in a club that makes $ off of alcohol.....

Your club is not going to force the customer's hand to benefit you if it means a potential monetary loss to them in terms of cover charges or alcohol sales.

As for explaining another reason why these beer nursing non tipping bums exist (and I'm probably preaching to the choir here), perhaps its because so many of your co-workers let them get away with it. I hit three clubs this past weekend, and I just couldn't believe the number of dancers I saw sitting with these very same bum customers (in some cases for more than an hour) without ever doing so much as one lousy dance. One gal I saw literally stopped in the middle of her stage setand lay on the stage chatting with a customer seated stageside for an entire two songs. I hope she at least got a dollar out of him.

Now if I may have a rant of my own: It is bewildering to a customer who has brought a decent tiproll to the club intent on having a good time, why a hot dancer that they see across the room would rather sit with some broke college aged guy for a ridiculously long amount of time just for the pleasure of drinking and socializing, as opposed to making $100+ off of him.

So if you see co-workers doing this knock some sense into them will ya? Because if enough girls at your club are giving away that kind of free time, their actions (perhaps 'inactions' would be more appropriate here) will affect your ability to make money. Just my four cents.

So now we've had a better cleaning. This is a rant about customers who don't buy dances. Keep it that way.

This is precisely what I try to say sooooo often about giving away too much. GIRLS! If you give away your time to non-spending customers, you're losing money AND devaluing your time as a dancer. Give away your time and you give guys the idea that they DESERVE your time for free, and come to expect it. If you want them to pay, you can't give it away!

That quote, along with a StripperWeb logo, would make a most excellent baby-t.

One thing i have to ask: Why were my posts deleted? They went with the general theme of the two dance minimum. Might not have stuck with the original topic, but they were along with the topic of the thread at the time and were not flames. I wasn't even bitching about the idea! Other posts proposing the two dance minimum stand, why were mine (saying i wouldn't care about that if it was to happen but it probably won't... in a nutshell) deleted? I mean I wasn't flaming? I can understand why mine and Luna's comic book conversation in "Lap dance conversation" might be deleted, since Captain america Vs. Batman has nothing to do with that topic, but if i'm on topic at the time, why delete me? Not bitching, just asking why?

Look, i'm on a site dominated by women, i expect a little man bashing from time to time. Men are hardly angels and i understand that, i also have self respect enough to know when i'm included in the 'stupid' moniker. In this case, i was not.
