Sorry if this offends anyone. Well, not really . . .

I recently came into contact with a dancer I used to work with who's now escorting - she was a really fabulous hustler when I worked with her and I'm sure she's doing a good job in the biz. When she found out that I did private parties, she offered to send some business my way, since she doesn't dance anymore. I would love to reciprocate - since I'm frequently propositioned at work, I was wondering what the appropriateness would be if I were to say, "I'm not in that line of work, but I have the phone number/webpage of a nice lady who might be more accomodating . . . "
Does that make me a pimp? :)

colettecall - I think a lot of guys looking for an escort would appreciate a recomendation from a "Sweet Lady" like you.
But you should get a percentage of the business you send her way..... Then you'd be a true pimp ;)

Well, if you just give the guy her phone number and do not mention what to expect maybe not. He'll find out by himself what your friend has to offer. :P

Collettecall, do you think your club would frown upon that as they would perhaps then also be seen as promoting/advocating illegal activity (assuming it is illegal where you reside)?

Not at all. As long as you emphasize that you and your co-workers are not in the line of work (as your friend), I don't see anything wrong with your recommending her to a customer. You can bring up other legit escort sites such as TER and TBG.

Make sure he's not LE.:)

no, it only makes you a pimp if you take all (100%) of her donation. still, i would give out the URL of her webpage only, if the guy has internet access. i'm sure she has her phone number and photos (hopefully) located on the website. it not only gives the guy the option to see what she looks like, but it also stops him from wasting her time if he's not interested. for example, an escort once asked me if i was interested in doing a double with a friend of hers. i was interested but wary, so i asked if she had any photos of her friend or if her friend had a webpage. she gave me the url of her friend's webpage. i took a look at her photos and knew she wasn't my type. i'd hate to think what would have happened if i had agreed to her offer.

Well, most local phone books have "escort" services in them, so you're not really doing anything that they're not doing.

But as Chet brought up, I just hope that none of the guys that inquire about it work with the local vice squad.

From personal experience, my co-worker and i were dancing in a club one night in california. a customer propositioned us. i said no and walked away. my friend gave him the phone number of a pretty well known prostitute. he called, she agreed that for $1000, she would do anything he wanted. the cops came into my club and arrested my co-worker for pimping and pandering. $25.000 bail and felony charges. if i hadnt seen it, i wouldnt have believed it. just be very careful if you do play middle man :) Shawn

Oh, and just to add, my friend took NO money. there was not a dime exchanged, just an agreement from the prostitute....thats all they needed to arrest my friend. funny thing is, the girl that agreed to have sex with him was in and out of jail in 3 hours on misdamenor charges (prostitution) and my friend released on bail 3 days later and went though a year of court appearances and thousands of dollars in fines and attorney fees. not to mention a 3 year restraining order against her from her own club!!!!!

............. the cops came into my club and arrested my co-worker for pimping and pandering. ................

Someone is pulling the woolover your eyes mam... If she was arrested it was for something else...... Giving someone a referral to someone else that "may" or may not participate in some illegal activity would not getsomeone put in jail that easily...... It would be too simple to dismiss as heresay....

She was probably arrested for other charges and made up a good story to have somethig to talk about.

no wool pulled over my eyes here, whispers. check out the laws in cali for pimping and pandering. umm, i took the girl some stuff when she was in jail, so i am talking first hand knowledge, nothing from a story. besides, it was my attorney she used for her court appearances and i was there with her for moral support and heard everything with my own ears. besides, it couldnt be dismissed as heresay when they had the audio rolling.....

She should have had a better lawyer............ taping her without her permission was illegal....... unless a wiretap was ordered by a judge which I doubt was the case for trying to bust a dance club employee referring clients..... Judges usually are much harder to convince of the needs for such an order unless dealing with more serious offenses or organized crime involvement.......

Your friend was probably into other stuff if she was in fact arrested

I'll stay a "doubter" for now......

The California Supreme Court held that consent from all parties to tape a "confidential communication" must be obtained when one of the parties reasonably expects that the conversation will not be recorded.

CALIFORNIA WIRETAP LAW PROHIBITS MOST SECRET TAPING, COURT RULES
The California wiretap act prohibits the recording of communications if one or more parties reasonably believe the communication is not being recorded or overheard, the state's highest court has ruled

I agree that the dancer needed a better lawyer. Or perhaps she was being made an example during election time. Everyone knows that a stripper being arrested for pimping and pandering makes for GREAT headlines.

ColetteCall

I wouldn't do it. If you did give out the info, for all the right reasons you gave, the image of "Strippers" would suffer. You all have been very vocal in the image. If you do this then its just like your offering it yourself.

Hope you get what I'm try to say.

You are just a referal. You have no obligation to promote her. You are not making a living off her so you are not a pimp.

On the other hand you could carry around a stack of her business cards in your g-string with a little note like 'take one' ;)

Colletecall aka river city kitty

After looking at your web site, I forgot the question LOL. I wish I lived in Austin, I would definitely book a One ON One visit with your School Girl Act. You look beautiful!

If you're ever in the NYC area, let me know.
