I found Sapphire as tame and annoying to deal with as SR, but I absolutely loved my trip to Cheetah's! See TR thread for all the details.

I have to agree on that. I went to Treasure's, SR, and Cheetah's. At Treasure's I was propositioned by a girl during the first lap dance. She even told me that she was disease free. I just wasn't that interested after that. At SR, I was pounced on by girls selling VIPs for anywhere from $400-$1k. When I said that I wasn't interested in sex, they all went away, thank god. At Cheetah's I met a really cool girl. I told her in no uncertain terms that I wasn't interested in sex. With that as the baseline, we had a great time, i bought a lot of VIP dances, and i think we both had a good time. If I ever make it back to Vegas, I'll try Cheetah's as well as some of the other more local places.

There must be a sexual component to your clubbing as you only go to clubs with female dancers.

I'm just not interested in having sex at every club that I walk into with any girl that walks up to me.
I'm reminded of the old joke about hookers are paid to go away. What do you do when they won't go away and hassle you for months on end?

LOL that's like the 1st time that I've ever seen anyone bad mouth SR. I personally don't like it because it gets too crowded, but never heard anyone call it tame. :O
I wonder what I did wrong? I spent a lot of money on my trip to the SR, but the mileage was very low.
I think that's just how Vegas is. I've had a few other experiences there that have led me to beleive that the "sin" in "sin city" is an illusion, and all that's usually for sale is simply getting ripped off. It's a disappointing realization; after 13 years of club going I thought myself a veteran of this sort of thing but sometimes I feel more like a green recruit. :p

Sorry, Lestat, but I don't know how you were able to avoid mileage at SR.
For years (decades?), when I travel to Vegas, I've been a denizen of Olympic Gardens, purveyor of the best mileage (IMO) both on the floor and in the VIP room. But, as the saying goes, be careful what you wish for. When they finally finished their long overdue remodel/refurbishing, the end result destroyed the cubbyholes and codiciles that mileage seekers and givers knew so well. The new and "improved" curtained lounges are now all reserved and require minimum tipping to sit in. Ugh.
Rhino, OTOH, is my reigning favorite hangout, with some caveats. Obviously, it can be overcrowded in the extreme, and getting up to get a lapdance in one of the more private areas will result in losing your seat. It's also next to useless getting a lapdance on the main floor. Secondly, never use 1/2 hour area; there is no privacy and I've never experienced any real, sustained mileage there.
Your best bet are the 3/$100 rooms. There are two, of which the main one can have a line to get into later in the evening, and the second is kind of an overflow area near the front of the club. If you go into the main one, try to get a corner booth; it's as close to real privacy as you're going to get. I like the overflow area myself; tipping the floater there $10 will effectively cause temporary blindness and a good time will be had by all. I had dances from about 15 different dancers my last two times at SR (including two Pinkies), and, except for pornstar/fitness model Devon Michaels, the mileage and contact was, well, terrific, even for this jaded PL. Of course, phone numbers and business cards were also exchanged.

Hmm. My trip to SR I did several dances on the main floor. The first was a great dance, but it was downhill after her. I did two 3/$100 sets. Neither was anything special. One briefly guided my hand to her breast (as did the first dancer on the main floor), beyond that it was an average 3 dances. The second 3/$100 set didn't even go that far. The trip was like a more expensive version of being back home.

Might I suggest one of the more "local" type of establishments in Vegas? Surely, there are places where the mileage is higher. Personally, I found the girls at the SR fairly bitchy and demanding. Personally, I won't return to the SR on further trips to Vegas.

SR girls are smart. They will do as little as they can get away with for more money. They tend to be very hot, and men throw themselves at the chance to get close to them, so they get confident in knowing they don't have to give up too much mileage. Lestat, you must have been in there on a very busy night, so they knew that they could just keep bagging guy after guy. That being said, I worked at SRLV, and have been there as a customer, and saw a LOT of mileage going on around me. ;)

i think she is, she just wasn't on the lineup when i went...there were two girls i really liked that were fun. one girl approached me and asked for a dance and we were leaving and i told her who i got a dance from and she gave me an 'ew' face...it was insulting not only to the dancer but to myself as well, like she was insulting my tastes...the girl had a great body and an not the most beautiful face but a good personality...and a good body and personality goes a long way in my book, not some stuck up super stripper looking girl who thinks she's better than everyone else...definitely turned off by her. shoot her a mm a pm, i'm sure she'd be happy to meet you there, i just ran out of time to confirm when i was gonna be there.
ETA: we were with a couple of guys, a dirty dancer got a hold of one guy and he disappeared and when we were leaving the other guy didn't want to leave (his 1st time in a club and he was mesmerized by titties and was glued to his chair) we had to leave him there. big lolz on our part.

I've toyed with the idea of venturing waaaaaay uptown to check out the Palomino, but for one reason or another never made it. Probably the biggest factor against me going is location - it is way off the beaten track, and there are so many clubs closer to the Strip. I've also heard that drinks are crazy expensive, along with a $30 cover.
Since it is the only club offering nudity & booze, I do want to check it out someday. Hmmmm.....perhaps on my upcoming visit. If they offer free limo service, that would be a bonus incentive to try it out.

There are two Deja Vu clubs now, right? - the original one on Industrial Rd, and a new one called Deja Vu Erotic Ultralounge on Arville St.
Both clubs, from what I'm told, are topless. On my visit last week I didn't bother heading out to the original DV to verify it, instead venturing over to Lil Darlings, which I knew was still nude. Had an OK time there (ironically, had a MUCH better time @ TOTT!)
I hope you're right and the original DV is still nude.....if so I will definitely head back there on my next visit.

According to TUSCL and several reviews on there the Industrial Road (original) location is now topless.
It doesn't appear to be a change that was welcomed. Several pointed out the Rhino is like a block away and Sapphires is just down the road.

I somewhat hate to add to this thread, fearing my question will get lost, but don't want to be out of bounds with a new topic for the same city.
Heading to LV in a couple of weeks. Always been partial to SR and Saphire, although I did avoid SR at night due to the fact you can hardly get around. Like SR during the day.
Used to be an OG guy, but have never liked it since the remodel.
Any other better ideas? As background, I usually do VIP after a test run LD or two, so I am not really interested in the cheap, local stage tip clubs. And I likes my cocktails, so not really into juice clubs.

Talk of The Town is still all-nude, still small inside, still overpriced admission price and the $10 nude table dance seems to have morphed into a $20 couch dance, complete with a surveillance camera and bouncer right outside the curtain. Still, I like the place but the cover $ keeps me from visiting more often, since I can get into LD - also nude - for free as a local.
Chicas Bonitas near Palomino is a predominantly Hispanic topless club, can be fun, but there is little English spoken there. The girls tend to run a bit large....maybe $5 cover, pass on the 'VIP' dances, they are held in a small back room with no lighting (I would not have even known my dancer was there if the black light had not made her bikini glow....).
Foxy's on Industrial is still open somehow. No cover, still not worth it.
My favorite - if you get the right dancer - is still Club Platinum on Flamingo next to Tuscany. No admission charge, no drink minimum, friendly staff and the drinks are priced right.

So I'm heading to Vegas next Friday, which is coincidentally the same time as CES and AVN. I've really only spent significant time and money at SR. I'm wondering with all the porn stars in town if the clubs are as fun and busy as usual. Do any of the porn stars feature dance at any or at least go to contribute to the party? Anyone have experience in th big vegas clubs around that time of year. I'm also thinking of going to OG or treasures for a day trip, happy hours and reviews seem to be good during early evening.

^^^ Every once in a great while a porn star will feature in Vegas, but it's not really a regular thing. If you want to meet the stars you either need to go to the expo on the fan show days, or go to an event being hosted at one of the nightclubs. I'm heading back to Las Vegas the first week of May. I'm not a fan of either the Spearmint Rhino or Sapphire's. I found SR to be too high pressure (and the private dances were nothing special compared to what I can get at home) and Sapphire's to be both high-pressure and I don't know...I only got out front lap dances. Two dancers attacked me upon entry and tried to sell me a $1,000 something. I have no idea what. By the time the price dropped to $200 after all of my "no thank you"s I was too confused to want to continue talking to either of them. It was my biggest "WTF" moment in 15 years of strip clubbing.
Fortunately, I found Cheetah's, where I had fun during the day. Dancers were friendly, low-pressure, and despite encountering my first dancer ever who kept dancing after the agreed upong number of private dances (grrr), I also found a delightful, friendly dancer who spent an hour or more with me dancing and talking at a reasonable rate. So I'm definitely heading back there, but I'd love some blue side advice on where to go. Overall I've found Las Vegas to be all talk as "sin city." But that's a story for another thread.

Couldn't agree with u more les. We went to og the other night and it was dead for a long time. The layout of saphire was crazy. The girls that hassle u at the entrance are bad. Ricks has closed. I'm going to head out tonight, but overall, my buds and I think that our home clubs in Miami and Atlanta r just plain better. Factor in the money, and Vegas is a bad investment in my book.

04-26-2011, 06:09 AM
Just to follow up on this. I was asked on Wednesday night last week, explicitly if Vegas was "Sin City." My answer was a resounding no. I made it to 3 clubs while there.
The OG was dead for the longest time. It was starting to come alive, but after being up for 24 hours, the time caught up to me. The girls were all whiny and not allowing me to touch. One girl literally wanted me to sit on my hands. WTF? In the OG? No, thats just not happening. I thought OG was suppossed to be a good place to go out to.
Another night, we went to Saphires. I have no idea how that place stays in business with the layout. Tables and chairs are too cramped together. I have no idea what the inflows and outflows are there, but it can't be good. The stages are setup all wrong. What's this with a stage 15 feet in the air in the middle? The girls can't get tipped there. By the time they come down, the guys that tipped them when they were lower are forgotten about. And then there were the girls at the front that jump on you the moment you walk in. "No honey, you are not the girl that I want because you grabbed me first." It seems like a low class place trying to be high class. I am sure that they make a lot of money from midnight to 6 am several nights per week, but I question if they can make it long term with just those few hours per week. Very unimpressive.
Rick's closed. Nuff said.
I had a great conversation as I mentioned in another thread with some girls at one club. We actually talked more about the business of clubs than anything else. That was the only place that could be referred to as Sin City, but I could have gotten that for less in my home clubs and familiar stomping grounds. Better looking girls, higher class girls, less money, higher class establishments in our own areas. I think the cost of Vegas is catching upto it. Who wants to go and spend at least 100% more for the same thing that they can get back home? Given the lack of people that I saw in Vegas last week, plus the lack of people in the clubs, I think the days of Vegas being able to charge megabucks are slowly winding down.

Thanks, JoeUnCool, for the observations - it seems that the Rhino/Sapphires types have mastered the model of maximum money extraction, but that can't always be applied to smaller venues. Maybe a lot of the clubs tried to get too "Vegas Spectacular" during the boom years and did not prepare well for the slump, so now there is a serious problem of overhead/sunk costs for some of the fancier venues, just as there is a decline in patronage; in turn, the ladies will tend to go either where there is still a target-righ environment, or where they get to keep more of their earnings.
My latest visit I did Treasures and Little Darlings, and for midweek nights they were not doing too badly. It's a matter of knowing what to expect, of course: it'll be overpriced by the standards of almost everywhere else. But one positive about these two is that, at least on a weeknight, the scene is humanly manageable, even the ostensibly upscale Treasures is not absurdly over-the-top with flying stages or fish ponds or things like that -- they invested more in the restaurant. Yes, apparently the heavy action in Vegas is all after-midnight, as was apologetically mentioned to me by a girl at Treasures, and that can put a crimp in the style of early risers but, at the same time, can be an advantage in that many of the predatory types don't show up until later.

^^^ Cheo_D - I'd like to hear more about Treasures, as I am likely heading there next week. I prefer clubs less crowded, so I was planning on a weekday evening.
I did a review of the place after a visit last Fall: http://stripclubs.stripperweb.com/reviews.php?do=show&r=2016&reviewcount=5
Adding to that: I must reiterate that I saw a substantial difference in volume between pre- and after-midnight. I have done OK my evening weekday stops here in the past but I know from experience in other locations that there can be a fine and surprisingly easy to cross tipping point between "uncrowded" and "dead", it's a chance we take.
The club as mentioned seeks to be upscale, like other Vegas locations they rope off parts of the room and larger stage during off-peak so as to not let it look too empty. Like I said their big showpiece is the restaurant, which is in a distinct space though you can get "company" at your table if you wish; it has gotten decent reviews in its own right but is quite pricey (they do have a Happy Hour Buffet but that's before 8pm, I've never been there for it).
It is to be expected that the early midweek cast is relatively small and, well, not exactly Playmate level -- but so far I've been able to always find at least one or two who are communicative and friendly(hope my luck lasts!), and one instance of off-putting overaggressive upsell. But, I don't really take names since I'm only there sporadically if my travel incidentally takes me through LV and time allows, can't really make it a destination.
Like it seems to be a pattern in Vegas upscale clubs, the best deal for the private areas IMO are the 3x100s, where there is a mandatory drink for you and her but that's still much less than the mandatory tab on the hour/half room which once rate+tab+tips are added can easily put you in the mid 400s per half hour.
I think that's about all I got off the top of my head, hope it helps.

I've since been back to both Cheetah's and Sapphires (bachelor party). My opinion of Sapphires has worsened. My opinion of Cheetah's is about the same. I also tried OG early in the day and found it to be okay. I only encountered three dancers there, all very different, so it's hard to make a judgement. I enjoyed my one rather long and expensive trip to Treasure's. Any other must try places or anything else noteworthy in Vegas on the strip club front?

Kind of on the tooic, just a simple question so it'd be great if someone could answer it for me - are there *any* sc in Vegas that hire under 21's? I'm 19 but I really don't act like it, and I don't even like drinking, I just want to do my best and earn great $ so I can make opportunities for my future lol. Def would like to take a trip out to Vegas if I'd be able t get work there!
