What about clubs "off the beaten track" in AZ?
Like, up in Flagstaff? Or down in the extreme SE part of the state?
(I love Flagstaff. I know there was a club there when I passed through years ago...Would've gone in, but was on a x-country roadtrip with earthjock-y college boys who didn't "get" the SC scene at all. Plus they were broke...)

That's a good question, I really don't know that there is much outside of the greater Phoenix and Tucson areas.
There is a club in Flagstaff (The Joint), I don't know much about it though, I knew some people who went to NAU and they didn't have too much good to say about it.
I know there are a couple of clubs in Yuma, never been though.
I have heard some good things about the clubs on the Mexican side of Nogales (does that count?). If so, I've also heard that the Rocky Point clubs are worth a visit.

Hi Nic,
I've been to the Flagstaff club a couple of times and thought it was pretty much a waste of time. Maybe it's better on weekends, but on the two weeknights I've been in, the place was pretty dead. Very few dancers working, and all of them looked like they needed another career choice (I'm trying to be charitable...). One would think with NAU being just a couple of blocks away there would be an awesome talent pool, but not when I was there.
As for extreme SE, there is a club just north of Sierra Vista in Huachuca City, but I've never been in. I think there are one or two clubs in Yuma (toppers? or somthing like that), but the ONLY reason to go to Yuma is if you are driving to San Diego, so I've never had a reason to stop.
I've also never done the Nogales clubs. There may be some on the American side, but there are several major clubs on the Sonora side. For Mexican club info, there are a couple of websites that I've seen before that may still be up: www.clubhombre.com (http://www.clubhombre.com/), and www.ladiesofnogales.com (http://www.ladiesofnogales.com/).
In any event, Arizona is a great state to explore via roadtrip, whether you find any club action or not! Enjoy. ;D

Wow, it just occurred to me that readers of this site who also read aspd might be confused by this.... Please note: SE in the above quote was intended to mean "southeastern arizona". The aspd horndogs will understand why I clarified, and enjoy the double entendre }:D .

Wow, a blue side visit by the lovely Ms. LL! Is this a first for you? Do you feel any different "down here"?
You know I'm just messin wicha, I guess I just think you're such a sweetheart in person, that somehow you shouldn't be here, but we both know better! 8)

I have no idea what you're talking about! }:D
Platinum Cabaret and Toppers are the 2 Yuma clubs. Platinum is more upscale and actually a nice club( I worked there 4-5 years ago in their heyday). It's owners own clubs in Cleveland OH. Kinda slowed down now and only worth a trip at night. Topper's is more a neighborhood club but gets decent looking girls from Phx and San Diego.
Anyone been to Pete's Place Adult Cabaret in Payson on Hwy 260? It's a trip in there. Some of the girls were nice, but you have to see it for yourself.
Anyone been to Big Rig Dollhouse in Kingman on your way to Vegas?

Thanks for any info.I wouldn't bother with it. You have to buy an overpriced bottle of champagne, then the girls have to clock out and get dressed to drink with you. Dances prices are on top of that. I guess if you have the money to spend and find the right girl it could be okay, but it's nothing I've been inclined to do to this point.

What about Scottsdale? I find I need to be there for a few days of business in September. Thanks in advance. There are 2 clubs in Scottsdale, Babe's (Jenna Jamesons club) and Skin. The citywide referendum (in Scottsdale) to ban lap dances is on September 12. If you're there before then you shouldn't have a problem, after that and who knows? Both are decent little clubs with attractive girls (although they are a bit tame on the lap dances). PM me if you want more info (or a junkie companion to either of them).

I used to work at Le Girls and the Hi-Liter(I was friend with DJ Deep Track from the Hi-Liter) he's a cool guy! aaanyway, I have been living in California, but will be moving back to Phoenix in the next couple weeks and don't know what club to go dance at. I was at Le Girls which was the first club I ever worked at, but it seemed like the managers took ALL your fuckin money, it was rediculuos. I have not attended any other clubs in Phoenix(I don't know why....) but I want to know to the guys what is the best, most fun club to work at where it seems like the girls do pretty well. I know there's Babes(Isn't that Blub Jenna now or something??) and there's Christies, Alaskan Bush Company, Le Girls, Hi-Liter, Bikinis, Dream Palace, Bourbon Street, and there's more, I just can't think of them right now, but any ideas what would be the best? Oh and from a guys perspective would you rather go to a titti bar or a fully nude club where there is no alcohol???

There are lots of strip clubs in the Phoenix area, I think it's just a matter of finding one that's a good fit for you. From a customers perspective, the 3 clubs that I think are head and shoulders above the others (attractive girls, good dances, good crowds) are The Hi-Liter, Bourbon Street Circus & Christie's Cabaret (PHX). I was at the Hi-Liter a couple of days ago (weekday) at 4pm and they had probably 3 times the crowd that the Penthouse club had on a recent Saturday night (at 10pm). Like I said though there are lots of clubs to choose from.
As for nude or topless, I've always preferred topless, 2 main reasons, 1-I like to have a drink or two when I visit, 2-topless clubs seem to get better looking girls (although I may have just been at the wrong nude clubs).
There are quite a few Phoenix dancers who post on the pink side, you may want to also post over there (or do a search).

Hi-Liter has another stunning addition to the dayshift: Kennedy, a tall, hardbody blonde with a killer rack...sadly, pretty much a zero on the personality scale and she plays zone defense like Tayshaun Prince, but she does offer a little NASCAR activity...Okay, I finally met Kennedy, I must admit, I like her, she will get repeat business;).

I found this amusing, with Prop 401 (to ban lap dances in Scottsdale) going up for vote in less than a month (Sept 12), the anti strip club folks picked up a ringing endorsement from the head of the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix. Here's a quote from him "Proposition 401 is an important measure to protect the community from the harmful effect of sexually oriented businesses".
http://www.azcentral.com/community/scottsdale/articles/0819sr-interfaith0819Z8.html
LOL, so my question is this, who is going to protect the community against the Catholic diocese with their history of child molestation, unlawful flight & even a fatal hit & run. People who live in glass houses shouldn't be throwing stones.

I like your choice of clubbs. I hit those clubs up on a regular basis to. Lets talk about the goods now. Bourbon Street great club the hottest girls in town any day of the week. Christies I love thow big the place is but hate those fucking merchandise peddaling owners, I dont wear those shirts or use any of the shit they give away 6 times a night. That shit fucks up my party buzz. The hiliter gives the best dances hands down, obviously vice or liq control is getting paid to never stop in to this place. Jerked or sucked for under 200 bucks makes this my choice for day time travels. Babes not so fun the bitches are hot, but think they really are something special. They are still dancers and dont even give good dances at that. the place is really small and always filled with the snotty Scottsdale crowd of "Im better than you I drive a Bla Bla look at me ". So I dont stop in there too much. I will add a few clubs that never get much review. Bombshells a decent little club an alright selection of girls, but the typical little club owned by someone that is happy with not much. Vegas Cabaret, just opened a few months ago, started off strong with a great line up then fell into the WTF happened here mode. Have meet the owner a few times seems like a bright guy, always gets me and the boys the first round and waves the cover. I hope he gets the original girls back from the opening days. Pin ups, went there twice nice club on the inside but nothing to look at ever. Cool bartender thats it. What do you guys think about these reviews?

Thanks Rockstar, nice to have another AZ junkie on board.
I honestly haven't been to Bombshells in years, not that I had a problem with it, it's a decent little club, I just found better places to go. I'm not quite sure what to think of Vegas Cabaret, the club itself seems okay, it's just so dead everytime I stop there. I've never been to Pin Up Girls Lounge, I guess there's no reason to either is there.
A quick observation of my own, I've made a few recent stops to Sonny's and have had a good time there, it's much more easily accessible now that they've completed the 101 & 202 links out in that direction. The quality of girls seem to have increased since my last visits there as well. Well worth a visit.

Hey the AZ thread is lookimg good. I will stop in and chack out Sonnys. Sounds alright especially with the drive time shortened. I hate the seating problem at the hi-liter. It pisses me off and ruins my "massage therapy" when another jerks steps on the old piggies or kicks the hottie kneeling in front of me. I know the club makes more with more bodies in there but damn WTF is the fire code calling for in this place? The best bang for the buck is Bourbon raised deck for night time entertainment, great seating and smoking dances in as much privacy as you can get these days. ;)

Well we're now 4 days away from the Scottsdale vote (Tuesday 9/12) to regulate the local strip clubs (all 2 of them) and it's shaping up as an interesting battle.
The mayor's plan to move the vote to the fall seems to be paying dividends for her as it's given the local religious right time to get organized. Memo to all the republicans out there, you realize these people run your party don't you?. Remember back when Republicans stood for limited government intervention into your lives? Those days are long gone. Obviously all the local republicans candidates who are up for election are backing this measure too, they don't seem to have much choice do they, support it or lose their base.
Still there seem to be a lot of reasonable people out there who, when taking a good look at this issue, are not supporting it, including the two major local newspapers The Arizona Republic (http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/northeastvalleyopinions/articles/0901sr-edit0901.html) and the East Valley Tribune (http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/index.php?sty=72493) (http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/index.php?sty=72493%29). Hopefully all the people the clubs signed up in the spring will turn out to vote. I've got a bad feeling though, seems like most of the people who support the clubs also tend to be the apathetic type who don't vote.
The most amazing thing to me about this whole process is how quickly those in favor of the ban (the churches and so forth) have been to use lies and distortions to mislead people (shouldn't they be better than that?). Oh well, at least we've gotten some intersting reading in the letters to the editor of the local papers, here's a recent one I found very amusing:
"I'm so tired of reading veiled references to "adult entertainment" and "gentlemen's clubs." Why won't somebody spit out what Proposition 401 really seeks to ban?
Many decent Scottsdale voters have no idea what goes on inside a "cabaret." It's not just strippers dancing. A man gives a sleazy, almost-naked woman cash to sit on his lap and grind her genitals against his. What we're really voting on is whether to allow or prohibit this in our city, and it should be spelled out". -Carolyn Cox, Scottsdale
This all seems so pointless, even if the clubs lose they will immediately file for a TRO, then drag it through the courts for years to come (no doubt costing the city millions).
It's not really that I'm all that in love with the Scottsdale clubs, they are already amongst the tamest in town, I just detest when others try to impose their morality onto me, plus if it passes I figure it would only be a matter of time before other nearby cities try to do the same.
So to sum up, I will be voting NO on prop 401 on Tuesday.
Sorry for the rant, the puritans have just got my blood boiling.

Maybe the clubs should organize an effort similar to what they did to get the people to sign up in the first place, and get people to follow through and vote. I really hope enough people turn up to vote and stop this crap - it's completely ridiculous.
It would be nice if one could turn back the clock and run Jenna's ass out of town before she bought Babe's. I think that is what started all this mess - brought too much publicity to the clubs.
What are the clubs doing, aside from running lots of ads? Because ultimately, I think the folks who'll vote NO need a little more of a kick in the ass to get into those polling places than a tv ad. Too bad really. We get the shaft all too often simply because there's not enough of us who care to get out and do the only thing that makes a difference: vote!

I will put my 10 cents in since my 2 cents are free. This 401 in Scottsdale is the mother of all government bullshit. I will never stand for the powers that be, dictating to me what is morally right. I pay my taxes, and I have the right to decide what is right and wrong. The fact is there are bigger problems with this state/ country than the topless bar industry. All of these "holyer than thou types" would be doing the state/ country more good if they get into the real world problems and forget the things that nobody but them care about. Ive never heard anyone complaining about a topless bar ever. Think about it, Has anyone out there on this site or anywhere "other than from a religious fanatic" heard anyone in the passing of thier daily lives said anything negative about the topless bar industry? We all have jobs and social lives, right? When was the last time you were at the water cooler at work and someone walk up to you and said " we really have to get rid of this topless club industry, its destroying the world as we know it" . This is insanity!!!!!! I feel as if there should be other more pressing issues out there to go after before we get to something of this nature. How about our rights from an over bearing government, how about gas prices, or a cure for CANCER, HEART DISEASE, TERRORIST ASSHOLES. Where are these nuts at when these things need handeled. They are to busy worry about the shit that really doesnt matter in the real world. There it is all 10 cents, spend it how you want.

I think that is what started all this mess - brought too much publicity to the clubs.I agree, Scottsdale was obviously not a good choice for her to open her first strip club, any bit of market research would have concluded the same. Jenna herself has also been remarkably quiet on this front (too busy with the new beau in LA I presume) which is a bit disappointing to me.
What are the clubs doing, aside from running lots of ads? Because ultimately, I think the folks who'll vote NO need a little more of a kick in the ass to get into those polling places than a tv ad. I agree again and I really haven't seen a whole lot except for the ads. One dancer did tell me that a bunch of the girls went down to old town Scottsdale one weekend night (where there is a lot of night life) and handed out early ballots, I'm not sure how much that helped though. Just seems like they could be doing more. Maybe a "No on Prop 401" party at the club, I don't know?

Regardless of what happens on Tuesday, this won't be the last on this matter I assure you. I just hope everyone involved with the adult entertainment business realizes what JJ caused to happen here, and treats her..ahem... accordingly. Perhaps her being quiet on the matter as of late after being so initially gung-ho is the direct result of that.
Best of luck to folks out there.
Doc, Ive signed several petitions recently against the right wing groups trying to shut down the local clubs. Its bullshit.

Just seems like they could be doing more. Maybe a "No on Prop 401" party at the club, I don't know?Didn't they get some people out in bunny suits to get people to sign the petitions? I would think that since that was so successful, they could do something similar to get the voters to the polls. Hell if I were part of those clubs I'd be trying to do anything possible to make it work. Call up those people who signed the petitions on Monday/Tuesday and remind them to get their asses out and vote. Drag out the bunny suits again. Make a demonstration. Anything but sit back and wait.
Us liberal people just are not vindictive and cleaver enough when it comes to dealing with these never say die conservatives.
Why don't we have the millions of dollars in use to bribe politicians like the conservatives do.
Why don't we have billboards all across the country saying " Stay out of our strip clubs or we will cause your churches pain",
or,
A billboard with a mans face sitting in a strip club saying " I love lap dances. Stop trying to make them illegal and focus on something that really matters." These billboards should be scattered around the country in large numbers.
We don't put up a VIOLENT fight on the airwaves, billboards and TV so that the public can see how ridiculous the religious right is, and how prudish politicians are. Expose how politicians are paid off to pass these anti adult entertainment ordinances. How hard is this to do?
Us liberal people just put up a quiet fight and that is stupid. These conservatives have to be fought to be killed where the entire public can see. We need wealthy liberal people to put up millions of dollars to fight every abstinence, and abortion billboard, put condom ads on billboards, show how ridiculous it is to waste money on shutting down adult businesses on billboards and TV, as well as mobilize YOUNG non homeowner types who are liberal to vote as highly as homeowning, church going, older couples do.
Where is our WAR. We are ALL liberal open minded people. There are millions like us, probably moreso than conservative ones. We are NOT fighting the conservative enemy as hard as they are fighting us. What's up with that???

perception is often reality when it comes to bureaucratic policy making. for example, LE agencies often publicize their big drug or arrests busts. so, does this mean they're winning the war on drugs? hardly, but people do come away with that perception. which is important to LE agencies because they get support for a bigger budget next fiscal year. so, whether one is conservative or liberal and despite the fact they may have never stepped foot in a sc. IMO, most people don't perceive of it as issue of speech, but rather perceive of sc as dens of iniquity. so, until societal mores catch up to nullify the perception. it will be business as usual.

As a California transplant, I'll tell you that the most conservative Republican from CA would be considered a commie here in AZ.
Remember, CA Republican Gov Schwarzenegger approved a multi-billion dollar state sponsored investment in stem cell research as a slap in the face to GW's ban.
So, it's all dependent upon your perspective.
Yes, Republicans here suck a$$. Seriously, are any of their attitudes much better than the polygamist they recently picked up. No really, don't they all come from the same breed?

Sooooo, what's happened??? Is polling done yet? How's the vote???Just flipping thru the news. Looking good so far, they're still counting though. With about 10% of the vote to count it's up 4% (to disapprove the ordinance).

Keep us posted! I can't wait to see how it turns out, and what the council might have up its sleeve if it fails ::)

They've got a lot of absentee ballots to count, but it appears the clubs may have sqeaked this one out. Apparently, they were doing more than we thought that they were doing.
