Hey all. guess this would be the right section. As stated earlier i'll be driving from boston, MA to myrtle beach, SC.

just had a question about the legality of radar detectors allong the way. Anyone know which states they're illegal in? i think they're illegal in VA, but not sure.

states i'll be passing through that im not sure of....

Penn., Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

any help would be appreciated.

Radar detectors are illegal in CT and VA. You were going through CT and NY, right? PA is not on the direct route, but that's okay.

yah, i dont speed in CT.

yup, going thru CT, NY and NJ as well. Not sure if i'll do pike to 84/91 or 95 through RI.

thanks for the help. yah, i forget if i run through PA at all. if i do, itd just be a short while. ofcorse, i could be all screwed up thinking about the last time i drove that direction, since i was going to philadelphia. real question is, leaving thursday monring, what time should i leave to lessen effects of traffic??? (NYC/DC)
