LOL, that's funny, this part really cracked me up:

"Rothken and Barbieri never even had sex. Not Bill-and-Monica-style sex, not heavy petting, nothing."

Great story, CP!

I'm sure that at least at lower financial and moral levels, we can learn from this one. Some of the experiences I have had, could have led me down the path of destruction.

This statement is scary:

"I'll tell you how sick I was," he says unabashedly. "When everything was starting to slip away, I was thinking it would've all been absolutely worth it if things between Kym and me had worked out."

>>>Sad<<<

Kat, Im not sure it was her sales skills or his stupidity. I have read about this guy before but this article fleshed out the details.

This dancer could have the initials VD ::) ;D J/K

i think most of it was due to his own stupidity. although, i'm sure the stripper didn't twist the guy's arm. she didn't want to ask a lot of questions either. in any case, we've all seen guys react the same way and go against their better judgment. the only difference is that this guy did it on a much larger scale.

Well, thank God for low self-esteem. I think two minutes after the dance ended is the longest I've ever believed the BS, if that long.

Nice find CP. This is why when she asked to go with me to my sister's house on Easter I had reservations. This is also why when she asked to go for drinks after our dinner date I instead chose a quieter park setting. I'm not sure I am ready to go down that road or even if it's worth it. I've been contemplating that since we went to dinner. However, as the days go by the anticipation of seeing her again is building. ARGHHHH

So what's the problem, you don't want to date a stripper? Funny, so many guys would love to have that "privelege", hahaha....

Maybe you actually LIKE this girl, what is wrog with that?

Fuck the raincoaters, they are dead inside, take a chance and enjoy life for a minute. It seems like she likes you too. I've gone out to eat with customers before, but I would never ask to meet his family if I did not genuinly like him as person...but you know better than anyone.......

Katrine,

Stripper or no stripper...
She's a great girl and I would date her in a heartbeat. She just has an incredibly large amount of baggage that has me spinning my wheels stuck in the rationalization stage.

I'm fairly new to SCs and, aside from having been my carefree self years ago, I have never been interested in someone with so much "else" going on.

Like her? Yes

But you see I am too level headed and have a conscience that works major overtime. When I hop into something I am in 150%. I'm just not sure giving her my 150% would be beneficial to the both of us.

So, I have basically decided to quit trying to overanalyze things and just have some fun. ;D

Our next dinner will be at this nice mexican restaurant...the best in town. We'll dine, drink, & let the chemistry guide us. :P

LOL. I'm not guided by any raincoaters. I'm guided by those neon lights. :D

Although, I have spoken with mr_p on some things and received some really good advice from someone that does have another side to him.

Mathematically impossible. please refrain from using expenditure percentages over 100%. only complete imbiciles do this.

thanks.

Actually, if he said "giving 150% of my perceived maximum" it would be okay. Because then all that's happening is he's expanding his limits. However, nobody except geeks talk like that.

[email protected] Don't be so hard kind bro! MW Is RIL. He just doesn't know it yet. I do agree with you though. That is a pet peeve of mine to. In racing, going 10/10ths is a 100%. You are border line out of control. The bike actually gets away from you once or twice a lap and you save it. Go over the limit and bring it back. If you tried to go 110%, you would crash plain and simple. ::)

Here's a couple more that come to mind, JZ:

“I could care less.” This mean that you might care a lot. “Couldn’t” is the appropriate word for the intended meaning.

“Irregardless.” Not without regard?

My favorite:

"I'm getting my period" instead of "I'm getting my period in two days" or whenever. It's a dancer's way of saying she's extra horny.

Ironically, the one dancer whose period actually did start during a dance never even warned me.

Edit: What's the correct face for an ending here? :o or ::) or maybe :P ?

Fuck the raincoaters, they are dead inside, take a chance and enjoy life for a minute.give him a break. he's just being cautious. i talked to MW about this in the past. perhaps, he realizes his potential GF may be flakier than bad case of psoriasis and has enough baggage to sink the Titanic. MW is still a rookie in SC years. like most rookies, he is somewhat awed by the image that strippers project in the sc. in any case, i always got the impression that he will continue to pursue this stripper. i hope it works out. however, if it doesn't work out. i want the details of his undoing....after i nuke a bag of popcorn, of course. :)

Haha. Cautious is most definitely a good way of describing it. I called her last night after having not spoken in 13 days. Of course, in 13 days even more drama has entered her life. Though I listen b/c I care. It seems the conversation isn't the way it was pre-dinner. She is noticeably more comfortable talking over the phone. I made a promise to go see her tomorrow night. I also hinted at lunch on Tuesday. She responded favorably. Deep down inside I'm really looking forward to seeing her. I'll just leave it at that. TR forthcoming...

Signed,

Mr. P... you can be so cold. LOL. Reality hurts sometimes and I think you tend to keep us all in check much to the chagrin of those who want our money. :D I'm glad you don't worry about karma points or popularity contests. ;)

I guess the above "stripper with baggage" is the reason all of my boyfriends wanted me not to strip, and why I've never dated anyone I met in the SC.....

It all comes together so elegantly now.....we are obviously relationship lepers, please stop trying to date us, please stop asking us out, please stop trying to hold a "conversation" with us in the club and stick to buying dances as you are supposed to.....and for good dog's sake, quit trying to get us out of the "sad stripper life."

....all of this would make my job much easier ;)

For all I know she could be perfectly happy with her life. I'm a facts person. I called her and we chatted for awhile. The first thign that came out of my mouth was "I've been missing you" (truth). The first thing out of her was "guess what happened to me last week".

It's all good. I'm not into this stripper or no stripper stuff. I've had just as much (if not more) drama from casual acquaintances back in my early twenties. I care so I listen. She has grown used to unloading on me when she sees me whether good or bad. Listening is one of my better traits. I definitely don't see her as some down trodden stripper with no goal in life. That would be rather prejudiced of me. Rather, I see her as a lovely lady with a lot going on in her life. Quite a bit more than I. :-\

She had a boo boo from what had happened last week. Over the phone, I offered to kiss it the next time we saw each other which will be tonight. I could tell she was blushing on the other end of the line. I will kiss it too. ;D

I guess the above "stripper with baggage" is the reason all of my boyfriends wanted me not to strip, and why I've never dated anyone I met in the SC..... i'm not surprised. anyone who considers that perverted cumslut, Belladonna, her pornstar love is bound to make most guys, except the most hardened raincoaters, run far, far away from you ASAP ;D.

seriously, i think the problem is that most guys (in or out of a sc) who date strippers have a tendency to idealize dancers to an extreme degree. it's not surprising, a sc is an artifically created environment. outside of the sc, the nature of the job brings all kinds of connotations into the mix.

as a result, the guy walks into the relationship expecting only good parts, but not the hassles. it's comes as quite a shock when they begin to realize that she not only has clay feet, but add flakey behavior, baggage and (in some cases) a cartoonish lifestyle or soap opera type drama into the mix. voil, a recipe for disaster because of the heightened expectations.

Patience is one of my stronger points. 8) Last night was great. I'll share once I gather my thoughts. White knight? I don't know about that. We're getting closer though. However, don't expect any long drawn out stories written from the prison library of how much I believed she loved me too. I'm not the one. ;)
