Saying I could afford a penthouse suite and a nice lifestyle, I'd pick Tokyo.
If it had to be the US and I could be sure I could survive the next big earthquake, I'd pick San Francisco.
If it had to be Europe, I'd pick the Alps. I love the cold and mountaineering.
However, I'm happy with where I'm currently at. That's Madison, Wisconsin. :)
Adelaide, South Australia

My choice is a mythical place, a modest but spacious house situated on a rocky crag overlooking a clear blue ocean, birds circling overhead, an ever curious dog sniffing about, a library of books to satisfy my every curiousity, a mate who busies herself doing things that make her happy, a HD TV, friends only minutes away, near a town that has movie festivals, and a hand tossed pizza place, and a hippie bead shack ...there is a short rainy season, the mountains are an hours drive away and and and...sigh

Sweden rocks, no doubt!!!! Much better than the states, but i am here! :D
Except Stockholm this time of year. To far south to have snow to brigthen things up, but to long north to be warm. I miss the sun. :-\ But in a few month... Oh yeah :)
Where to move? Hm... New Zealand sounds nice. Or Canada if it where a little further south. But anywhere without long dark, cold, winters sounds great ;D
