My ATF station is http://www.chronixradio.com/. Mostly hard rock and heavy metal. Lots of White Zombie, Danzig, Maiden, Kittie, etc.... Sometimes they play cheeseball stuff too, but its mostly all good....

Anyone else like to share their favorite (free) internet radio stations?

I am going to give them some money after I work Wed.....}:D

By far the best net radio station I've come across is SimKast radio http://www.simkast.com It's not so much the music, but the friendliness of the dj's.

Well, many internet radio stations are short lived. I was just searching for a few of my old fave's and they seem to be gone. No big deal, it was mostly russian music and world music....

Most of the stations have trouble because bandwidth for broadcast costs and it's hard to get paying sponsors.

i may be partial but my Favorite is Power Planet Radio, we Have the best unsigned artist from across the planet, as well as some big name bands and some of todays hottest comedians. Most of the stations you see that disappear are due to the fact that they are not paying royalty fees and they have been caught. Power Planet radio has been on the internet for just over a year now and we continue to draw listeners almost on a daily basis. Very few internet stations have estblished themselves with the artist they feature, Unlike Power Planet Radio who personally contacts each artist we feature, and when possible even attend live events with both artist ad comedians.

Thank you!!

I used to listen to the Shoutcast stations every day when I worked at the university! I had totally forgotten about it!

Right now listening to Russian Radio Katek. If you wanna hear some really upbeat, cheesy, silly disco type music, this is the place for you. Don't blame me if you go into sugar shock, ya gotta be russian to understand. The lyrics are great, the beat is super-frommage!!!

You can customize, to an extent, your own station at Launchcast, or listen to the existing formats. It's free if you set up a free Yahoo account. (Well, they do pester you with audio ads to upgrade to premium.) If anyone cares to sample my personal Launchcast station:

I eventually want to be a webcaster at Live365.com, but that takes a few $$$.
