*nail polish hardens in about 90 seconds, but it takes around 15 minutes for it to be completely dry. After a minute and a half, plunge nails into a bowl of ice water and they'll dry super quick.
*keep lipstick from seeping out your lipline by tracing a cotton swab dipped in loose translucent powder just outside your lip perimeter before and after applying lip colour.
*for a more precise line when using eye liner, put liners in the fridge for 30 minutes before you'll apply it. this feels great, too! for a softer line, roll the tip of the pencil between your thumb and forefinger.
*for no-crease eye shadow, put concealer or foundation on your lids, then dust with translucent powder. then apply powder shadow.
*to make liquid liner last longer, set it with a powder shadow in the same colour family. push the shadow into the liner.
*leave a tiny bit of conditioner in your hair after you wash it - most contain the same ingredients as hair gel.
*for thicker eyelashes, hold the mascara brush as close as possible to the base of your lashes and wiggle it back and forth as you move up. let mascara dry for 10 seconds, and repeat. for longer eyelashes, blase brush at lash line on top of lashes. go from roots to tips. repeat from underneath. personally, i love covergirls lashblast mascara!
