yikes!!! I just had some more red flags pop up from your post!
I guess your right Big Green it probably wouldnt be fair of me not to pay it since everyone else has to and im sure the will all pay it.
Im glad we agree. It sucks, but fair is fair.
I just get so sick and tired of dancers getting treated like little peons!shit so do I,its an insult that they dont run the show when they could and should!
I dont think alot in the industry would change,i just think the entertainers concerns would have to be addressed, and they would have a valid say in things.(not that they dont now,i just think alot of the power they think they have ,wont hold legal water now as it would if all entertainers were true IC's)
.At my club its pretty bad. We have so many new managers that have no experience, they come in there all full of themselves and start barking out orders and changing rules. Its just really hard to take when youve been there for years and thryve been there for a day! Alot of them have been dancers that have been there less than a year and nowwe even have a waitress thats been there a few months as a manager. So you can see why i really want to know what they can get away with and what legal. No one will stand up for themselves here. Most ofthe dancers are 18 right out of highschool and have no idea what the law is and they get taken advantage f. If they get fined for sneezing in the wrong place they will pay it.ugh, thats one of the hardest things in this business, mgr turnover.
The next guy always has new rules and dreams on how to blow the place up.UGH!!!
You have my pity!!! lol
Just ride the wave, theres usually another one comming soon.:O
Approach the new mgr and request a list of rules and fineable offenses. As a veteran there,he could use your help as a leader in the dressing room. Its a good way to break him in,and cover your ass as well. Both help you in the long run in many ways.
I just want to be informed. Now the dj at our club will ask us to pay him extra if we are extremelylate or miss some rotations but i dont mind that because that is what he is charging for his services. I have never heard of this and dont agree with this at all!!!Any fines you pay for breaking club rules should go to the club, not the mgr or dj.If they dont, then they aint real club fines and i would have a problem with it.
Does the owner or new mgr agree with the dj getting to keep the late fee???
But the mngr asking for money art random with no listed amounts is anothere story. The last time we had a meeting i was not fined.lol
could the last mgr NOT collecting fines be one of the reasons you have a new mgr?
hell, you got out of it last time, dont sweat it this time.
sounds like maybe this mgr is playing by the book. That could be very good for you, just make sure everyone has a copy of the new book!
If its not a posted rule,or one thats very common and doesnt need posting, how can you be expected to pay?
You would be right in looking for a new club. You cant change the rules at random and inforce them at different times. It isnt fair.
I hope it all smooths out fast for you and your new mgr.

I just have to bring this subject up one more time. Its one thing fining a dancer that keeps missing shifts but its a whole different thing when you call in and say you cant make it.
I have gotten sick recently and have been running a temperature well over 100 degrees and I went to the doctor and everything, and the doctor even gave me a note saying I shouldnt work. I called in to say I couldnt work b/c I was sick and told them about the doctor saying I should not work. They just said bring in the note when I come in for my next shift. I came in and brought the note and they said they were going to fine my $100 for missing the shift. I think thats so stupid.......
