If you smoke everyday, or more then 1 once a week your a pothead and are obviously addicted. That is according to my "Drugs and the Human Body - With implications for Society"
Seventh Edition by Ken Liska. Awesome book, I highly recommend reading it.
Psychological addiction is very common, and in more things than just Pot. Masses of humanity are addicted to Coffee (which is something i just can't understand). I know a guy that can't make it through the day without about a gallon of Code Red Mountain Dew.
Of course im judgemental about it.
And you have to realize that it just isn't your choice to make. You dont, others do. It's a choice. It's only your choice when it's you. And it's never a good thing to be judgemental.

I love ya, dearly. So I place this with the deepest of sincerity. Put down these books you're reading, and do some serious research about this stuff. You're allowed to have your own opinions, and I welcome you to that. A little more research before you pass your judgement on others, eh? ;)

Research? Iv read many Saferstein and Liska books on all different types of drugs and substance abuse. Now I know by reading years of research, what the experts in the field classify addictiveness and such substance abuse.
Of course you or anyone else may think otherwise, Im not saying your wrong or your opinion doesn't count, cause that would be rude and disrespectful, but im saying, I took over 3 different college level courses on stupid substance abuse and had DOZENS of ex druggies come and speak to us about it. I know my view on it, I know the statistics, and thats that for me.

What were the druggies doing? Something tells me it wasn't just smoking Pot.
(And "over 3 different college level courses?" What does that mean? Sorry, just struck me as funny. Most of the time it's "over 30" or "over 300," but "over 3?" LOL. ahh, the things that amuse me...)

Your right, but 95% of them, smoking pot was the stepping stool for them. Once they achieved their "first great high" they looked towards other drugs to achieve that high they used to get when they first started using drugs. I don't do drugs, I took into account dozens of real life stories, and this is what they told me.

Find me a college that offers 300 different substance abuse classes that you receive COLLEGE level credits for, and I will laugh at myself too. Until then I think the jokes on you buddy. I'm not talking about a parent teacher meeting where you sit in a little circle, talk about your problems and shit, im talking about full blown college classes. Exams, papers, you know right?

I don't know anyone who uses drugs who doesn't smoke ciggs (at least when they started using anything else) or drink booze. Both legal. If you want to point the finger at a stepping stone, that's where to point it.

Like I stated, I had the opportunity to listen to dozens of druggies. They stated, the HIGH they received from weed drifted away and they needed more powerful drugs. I don't know if you do drugs and if you took it to extreme levels, but hey, I'm only listening to about 30 people first hand expierence.

Actually the last 2 sound interesting.
And confrontationalism is usually a sign of a lack of self esteem, not saying anything, but it gives an impression.

I don't know if you do drugs and if you took it to extreme levels, but hey, I'm only listening to about 30 people first hand expierence.Actually, i stepped DOWN to pot. In high school and for a little while into college I was a major Acidhead. I loved to trip. Acid, Mescaline (Peyote), shrooms (no angel dust though). Did Cocaine twice (it just made me nervous, i was like "People enjoy this?"). I gave tripping up because i didn't like the idea of leaving my sanity in the hands of some backyard chemist (and Peyote is kinda hard to come by in STL). I just kinda grew out of it. Cocaine just wasn't me. 2 times was enough. Didn't like it. It also turned me off to all powders. Heroin scares the shit outta me. I suppose i'm still open to some 'shrooms, though i'm not exactly going out of my way for them. Reality bites, but it's reality y'know.
Younger days...
About all I do now is Pot once in a while. I'm mellowing. Oh, i smoke and Drink, too... Honestly, i don't worry about it too much. I done way worse stuff and managed to not become some drooling junkie. And Weed wasn't the first drug i did. Like i said, it was a stepping stone, but that step was DOWN.

Tell me, are you christian? You seem to be trying to set the image of mom and apple pie, so i'm assuming so... What do you think about these words...
Luke 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Tell me, was the man that said that wrong? I, an agnostic, don't think so... I, an agnostic, think he was 100% right... So, tell me, is judging people the right thing to do? Someone didn't think so...

Madcap, you're arguing with a 19 year old with minimal life experience! While there are, of course girls here who are quite young too, for the most part they've been working in an environment that has made them wise beyond their years, such that they can at least see that not everything is so black and white. Wait until he's had a chance to experience life a little more and he'll realize just how much "gray" there really is in the universe, and just how ridiculous it is to go around judging everyone and everything different from himself. In the meantime, all you're going to do is give yourself high blood pressure trying to explain things to him that he just can't accept at this point in life, 'cause he has no real frame of reference yet.::)

Rose, I like two parts of the bible. The old testament (because i like old stories), and the gospels (because Yeshua, as a man, was really really cool for the time he lived in and did NOT deserve to be crucified). Paul (who never even laid eyes on yeshua, unless you believe in his supposed fever dream) is the source of so much bullshit that we have to put up with today that it isn't even funny.

Illicit drugs destroy the body and are condemned: 1 Cor 3:16; 6:19.
Illicit drugs are condemned because its fruit is rotten. Matthew 7:17.
Of course I couldn't find the word "pot" "x" etc in the Bible, drugs evolved. It was witchcraft and their brewed up potions and what have you, that was their "drugs" back then.
Then again, an antheist can walk in here and tell us to fuck ourselves, cause God doesn't exist and the Bible is fake. Are we to tell them their wrong too?
