Matthew 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

And it's up to you to decide what a corrupt tree is? MJ isn't a tree anyway... Plus Yeshua often spoke in parable, like Socrates. The 'Tree' he was speaking of was likely a man or woman offering sour shit.

You're not suppose to defile your body by allowing things in that aren't pure or can hurt your soul,Am I right? What he means is you aren't supposed to let people misguide you. It's symbolism.

You can't look at what Yeshua said through 21st century eyes. He was a 1st century jewish philosopher. Just like you can't look at Socrates through 21st century eyes. Neither were part of the modern era.

Re-read all my quotes again, I can't simplify it more.

Illicit drugs destroy the body and are condemned: 1 Cor 3:16; 6:19.

Illicit drugs are condemned because its fruit is rotten. Matthew 7:17.

Nor do i see how this related to Yeshua telling you NOT TO JUDGE PEOPLE.
You brought up Yeshua and the Bible first, not me. You said "its not right to judge people" Everyone judges, like I stated over and over again, can't stop or prevent it.

And should you? Are you doing right when you judge people?

And should you? Are you doing right when you judge people? As long as I don't hurt myself or anyone, im doing no harm. When you walk past a hot girl, you want to know what she is thinking about you. Is she judging you? (Could he have a cool car, I bet he is a lawyer etc.) She don't hurt me by thinking.

And you can decide what it means? yes sir, I decide what it means to ME. The Bible isn't a history book of facts.

Once again, is it right or wrong, considering the guy you follow said not to do it?

You can't pick and choose what to listen to. Well, you can, but you sure as hell wouldn't be real. It's okay, Gabe, most christians pick and choose what they want to follow and discard the stuff they don't want to follow.

Facts are facts. Yeshua said not to Judge. Therefore judging is against what Yeshua said. Spin it any way you wanna spin it. Yeshua said "Judge not." Lie to yourself all you want.

yes sir, I decide what it means to ME. The Bible isn't a history book of facts.
Some of it is. Some of it isn't. You are either Yeshua's follower or you are not. You either follow his words or you do not.

Oh, and i'm not asking you what a hot girl thinks when you walk by, i'm asking what YOU thing when you walk by a hot girl...

Lie to yourself, gabe.

Nowhere in the book is reefer condemned.

But...

Do you eat shellfish? (That's an 'abomination' on par with fucking another man in leviticus)

Better reevaluate your opinion of shrimp.

Holy crap. WTF is going on in this thread? This topic has absolutely NOTHING to do with religion. Let's not make it about that.

As for a "Religion" thread. Of course, you all are more than welcome to create any topic that you'd like, but please use caution. It's definitely a touchy topic.

Now.. Everyone take a nice deep breath, and get back on topic.

Thank ya :)

Done. It goes along the same topic.

The bible means nothing to most people, even christians. If your arrested tomorrow for 10 pounds of weed, will you tell the judge "But.... But.... The words "pot" "weed" etc are not in the bible, therefore its all good in the hood!!!" The judge will likely laugh at you. When somebody commits murder, you think the defense attorney reads "Thou shall not kill" from the ten commandments and bases his case on it? lol.

This all started when you said seeing a movie is the same thing as smoking weed. 1+1=7::)

I'm not sure what your entire point is...as that would require going back and reading the banter between you and Madcap. I will say this - while I am not necessarily advocating the use of marijuana, the mere fact that the use of marijuana is illegal does not make it morally wrong...and it doesn't make it socially wrong. Hell...it's still illegal to chew gum and walk backwards in Gary, IN.

Yes I did, and that is one mans opinion. ;)

What is socially wrong and morally wrong depends on each person's values.
I may find it morally wrong for people to be Jewish, but obviously Jewish people don't.

It is the Country//State we live in that dictates the rules we must obide by.
People like to smoke weed, I like to go 130 on my motorcycle, but I can't and won't cause I could injure others, myself and don't feel like having my bike takin away. The term Illegal prevents me from doing what I please 24/7.
