What's more f*cked up is the club made her pay the dance commission. That just blows.

DD, you win hands down. I was about to ask Vaden how it was even possible to only make $25, but your story just blows my mind.

What kind of club allows the guy to leave? And the bouncer followed him? He should have handcuffed the shitbrain to the floorboard of his own car and driven him to the bank. Assuming he even had the money.

Perhaps you should consider upgrading to a club that has even the slightest amount of respect for you. This was disgraceful behavior on their part. I am really sorry.

I totally agree with this.

I hate to be the one to say it, but I'm curious how did you let a guy rack up a huge bill without making sure he had the money?

Emily,

He had been a great regular customer of a former dancer at the club, so I kinda felt comfortable doing so many dances for him without getting payment upfront.
Looking back...it was very stupid on my part and I learned a huge lesson from it.

I'm not sure that this qualifies as totally falling under the title of this thread, but it's a good history lesson anyhow ...

I was on a long distance road trip, just starting my first night of work at a club which will remain nameless. About two hours after opening (during which time I had earned less than $100), the club was raided. Every girl who was dancing in the private dance booths at the time was charged with prostitution (a couple legitimately, most including myself bogusly).

As it turns out, the 'deal' between this club and local cops/judges was that the club would pay bail and fines if the dancers would accept a plea bargain that involved the dancers pleading guilty to a lewd conduct charge - which would allow them to go right back to work but would also leave them with a black mark on their criminal record. Obviously because of my travel and need to obtain dancers' licenses in various cities I could not/would not go along with this. So I was forced to retain my own local attorney, plead innocent and lose, file an appeal, plead innocent again in a higher court (who was not part of the local 'deal' with the clubowners) and win. Between the attorney's fees, court costs, and extra travel expenses to return to this city and appear in court for the two separate cases at two separate times, my costs ran well over $5,000. This also does not take into consideration that while travelling back to this city to appear in court it prevented me from earning money working somewhere else during those days.

So my net earnings/losses for that one night of dancing, everything factored in, was somewhere around minus $10,000 !

DD, that is terrible!! I can't believe they made you pay the club. I would have quit and told them to shove it up their ass! They knew what was going on and they knew the situation. That is fk'n lame!! I agree 100% with The Other Owner...

When the girls are hired at my club it is made very clear that we are 100% responsible to pay the commission on all dances given...no if's, and's or but's.......and we are told to collect up front just so that something like what happened to me doesn't happen. So I knew the rules...I take complete blame for the situation.

I was just soooooo bummed about it and couldn't believe it was happening. It also happened when I needed to make money (of course). I was just sooooo happy that day that I had done so many dances. While he went to "the bank"....I went into the dressing room...and then the manager called me to the office. When I got there he told me that the guy had taken off on the freeway in his car...I swear....my heart dropped. I kept thinking...maybe he is going to a different bank...maybe he is going home to get the money....maybe he is lives far away. I sat there at the door for the rest of my entire shift (day shift) and also sat there the entire night shift....just in cases he came back. That night I couldn't sleep at all. The next day when I went to work I ran into the office and was so hoping that he had come back in and paid the money....when they said he didn't ....I broke down and cried so hard that I couldn't breath. I was mad at him, but more mad at myself for being so stupid.

In all of my 15 years of dancing I have only been ripped off twice.....both of them doozies. The second time a guy came in and showed me a $100 bill and said "let's go do some topless dances".....so off we went. After the first dance he looks at his watch and says "Oh my, it is later than I thought..I have to go". He says..."let's go over to the front door where it is brighter". He pulls out the $100 and says "I need $80 in change"...so I pull out the money and while I do he takes the $100 and fold it over lengthwise a few times and then wraps it around my ring finger and twists the top so that it stays. I hand him the $80 and he says he has to hurry and leave cause he is late. I take off to the dressing room and start to unfold the bill to find that it is a $1 bill.......I take off running through the front doors out to the parking lot in my lingerie only to find that he is gone. How could I have been sooooooo stupid. Not only did he get a free dance..but I also gave him $80 dollars. Another expensive lesson learned.

On a side note......a a few weeks later a guy came into the club and rung up a big amount with another dancer and said he had to go home to get the money...she learned from my experience and took a zerox copy of his DL and CC. When he did not return...she called her boyfriend and her and him went to the customers house....at 3:00 am...knocked on the door...and his mother answered the door...LOL......she went and got him...he was sound asleep, drunk...but he did pay her.

I bet Dancindoll's club was a Deja Vu ::) And damn right I would've quit. No way would I ever return to a club that made me pay that kind of money after THEY let the guy leave before paying. The very least they could've done is not held the girl responsible for the house cuts. That is absolutely absurd. >:(

Always take the guy to the bar to break large bills, never make change yourself. You never know if the guy is trying to scam you or passing fake bills. It happens more often than you might think.

I'm sorry for you girls, those stories really suck!

Oh hell yeah, Bridgette.. it probably was a DeJaVu! I've been stiffed before, and it sucks.. actually had the cops called on a guy right at closing time too..

Least amount of money I've ever made: After house, tip outs etc.. $15- but, it was a slow night and a holiday.

DD, ohmigod that's so awful! If I heard I was supposed to be pay the club over $1000 I would never come back, honestly. I also really can't believe they let the guy leave the club - I mean, what did they expect? At the least, they should've made a show about copying the driver's license and such and prosecuting for grand larceny [I would've, anyway].

What a jerk about the $80, too! >.< People like that, ugh.

My worst night was $20, roughly. I sold one whole dance and that went to tip-out, and nobody really felt like tipping the stage.

The thing that is worst, for me, is where the club keeps saying "It was a good night." Maybe the bar made money, made a certain amount of parking spaces being taken up indicates a good night, but if nobody is buying even dollar dances and nobody is tipping stage, it's not a good night.

I had someone do the $100 switcheroo on me, too. Somehow it became a folded up $20 by the time it got into my garter. 4 dances, down the drain. I learned not to work in places that have really dark LD rooms and I always, always take whatever they put in my garter and count it before I let them get away. Bastards.

My worst nights involved making less than I paid to work in big city clubs. In small town clubs that I work in on bookings the worst I have made in a night is around $50 and that does not include club pay of $62-$66 per night which brings me up to around $110 or so.

Ugh the last week has been horrible, it's almost embarssing to admit how little I've made. I know it's not just me though, it's been either no crowd or a cheap crowd ever since the holidays ended. :( When does it pick up again?

the lowest I made was a few weeks ago, on my first day. It was a tuesday afternoon, about two days before Christmas, and there must have been three people there. I made sure to go on a day where I figured no one would be there so I wouldn't be nervouse on my first time stripping. I made $36. I was giddy just to break even after hearing these horror stories beforehand. haha;D

At my old hole in the wall club I made..$3 ..I remember coming home at 1 AM and sitting at the bottom of the steps crying ..just staring at the 3 bills..I didn't want to go upstairs..I didn't even have enough to pay the sitter that was watching my 2 children. I felt so pissed, embarrassed and like I let my kids down..even though I knew it wasn't my fault it did a job on my self esteem....It was the freeking piss poor bitch owner and the town cracking down on stripclubs..made the customers disappear. They didn't care about a dirty little stripper or my kids. I vowed it would never happen again..it hasn't..but I'm at a REAL club now..that helps. Fingers crossed.

Wow. I have been doing so horribly lately:-[ , but I kinda feel a little bit better because now I know that it isn't just me that has been having a hard time making less than what I know we're all worth. To those who have gone home in the red, I sympathize and know your pain. :'(

Last night... $45... however if you take out the $20 that a dancer paid me so I would do her stage... that's $25 (after already paying $30 fee). One of THE worst nights I've had at my home club for a looooooooong time. I usually can guarantee myself near or over $200 without much effort (after whatever the fee is for that night).......

I think I'm a little burnt out from Chrissy/New Years. Oh well... let's see if I do better tonight.

Not counting the money I got from the dancer (actually money I earnt from stage and private lap dances) after the fee.... working 8pm until 3.00am.... that's a very sad :'( :'( :'( (just under) $3.60 per hour.

The lowest I think I've ever made was $3... not even enough to pay for the gas it took to get there and back. I learned the hard way its just not worth chancing it to go in if there is bad weather coming.

My worst..around $25-30...Coming home with barely enough to fill my gas tank is so discouraging, insulting, and just completely lights a fire under my ass...Its hard to go back to work after crap nights because mustering up some kind of good mood after such a slap in the face(lack of earnings) is difficult.(yet, at times still possible)
